Part 2: • Snow on Going to Jail ...
--------
Snow came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off speaking about growing up in Toronto in the projects with his mother, and he later added that he comes from a "gangster family." During the conversation, Snow spoke about dropping out of high school and not being able to fully read or write, which he says didn't hold him back in life. This led to him speaking about his legal troubles, which started when he was first arrested at 14, and Snow added that he was facing two attempted murder charges a few years later. To hear more, including Snow speaking about his friend confessing to the crime during his trial, hit the above clip. Развлечения

Right? He is harder than some Gangster Rappers I know!
Same exept I read this in a article in the 90s and was like dam snow really more gangster than the gangster rappers of his era.
Nah the real ones knew he from allensbury
This should be a good one. Glad to hear you are doing this interview Vlad.
I cannot sit through any of the other not-vlads...might be my favorite artist of all time but if its the Kardashian steelo vocal fry botch I can only do 5 minutes max

Love when someone tells whole stories thru sound effects lol
And hella hand movements..
😂 he makes so many nonsense noises, it makes Informer make sense now. Wonder if he that’s what he see when he tries to read
👍🏿😂😂🤣
Lack of education and broken families, 2 big factors
This dude lived his life. In Europe Informer was huge. Bought the cassette in 94. Still got it
Bruh his wife is fuuuuuuucking hot. Unreal
You boom boom down
Damn he had a childhood like Ricky from trailer park boys 🤣🤣🤣
Bubbles was in his "Legal" video back in 02.
I never knew Snow was that raw, I knew he was a Toronto OG and had dope Dancehall tunes but wow, that blew my mind!
Everyone from Toronto knows Snow was a roughneck. He actually hurt his career cause he was always getting into bar fights and getting himself kicked out of different countries while on tour. Meanwhile most of his songs weren't about street or gangster stuff except for Informer. Also it was hilarious how Informer went mainstream when it was basically a jailhouse bullpen holding cell hand-beating-on-the-wall song about murdering rats.
Never heard of this mans
@@dabunwin442 he blew up in the early 90s
Everyone except Jim Carrey..
Somebody with poor reading comprehension sent me a comment saying: "Nobody knew it cuz it's nonsense he's not gangster at all".
Yeah, that's why I used the word ROUGHNECK and not "gangster". That was a deliberate word choice, not an accident.
Gangster IMO = shooting and killing people, especially in connection to drug, gang, or organized crime activities. So Sammy the Bull, Birdman's brother Terrance, Wayne Perry, Lester Lloyd, etc. were gangsters.
But the guys punching guys in the face or brawling in bars - that's what I call roughnecks. That's why I called Snow a roughneck. He was always fighting in bars and getting charges.
There can be overlap between the drunken bar brawlers and the shooters/gangsters/killers/mobsters in some cases. But I've never heard of Snow shooting or killing people over gangs or drugs or mob stuff, so I didn't call him a gangster. And he said he wasn't a gangster himself.
@@dabunwin442 broooo how do u not know informer?! Respectfully
Bro, he had the early 90’s lit!!!!!! Brings back good times and memories. 😢
Man I thought that was Al Bundy lol
The deep Irish/Jamaican connection is a phenomenon that should receive way more attention. From music to accents to colonialism.. Incredibly influential on western culture and not talked about nearly as much as it should be.
Crazy ,but I just heard Tariq nasheed just talked about the comparison
The Irish were slaves in Barbados and Carribean
is there any documentary on the connection . I know montreal has a huge tie into the irish mob and italian but i would to learn about the Jamaican connection
What Jamaican Irish connection 😂😂

The informer with the informant!
LOL!
I had no idea Snow was a savage. Who woulda thought the realest rapper of the 90's was Canadian 🤣 🤣 🤣
Canadians, British people, Australians, etc. are all wannabe Americans. All they do is copy off of Americans. Ain't no such thing asva Canadian gangster. They ride horses and keep their doors unlocked in Canada, foh.
Damn this dude is a gangster
I thought this fool was from Jamaica.
He’s the one who put a hit on Wheel Chair Jimmy.
He was a reggae artist not a rapper..lol.I was shocked, too.
Wow, I never thought the "Licky Boom Boom Down" MC would appear on VLAD TV.
Lookin' at his background, Snow definitely had street credibility that Vanilla Ice never had.
Damn , Who Would’ve Known Back In The Early 90’s HipHop Scene That Snow “Informer” Was One Of The Most Street Official Gangsters In The Whole Rap HipHop Scene? 😂😂😂 Salute To Snow 💯
A lot of ppl knew if u were actaully from Toronto..
Just like people didn't know Hammer was gangster
@You're Dumb He’s Actually Titled A Reggie Rapper So Your Name Matches 👍🏼
I knew snow was gangster but damn if all that happened under 21 that's a life right there
He’s definitely harder than 6ix9ine’s pusy ass.
They claim he's a one-hit wonder, although he had other smash songs besides "Informer" including "Runaway," "Girl I've Been Hurt," "Anything for You," "Lonely Monday Morning," and three major albums full of bangers. He also had a clash with Ninjaman, something he could not have done if he was not well-respected in the dancehall scene. Snow has definitely come a long way.
DAMN, he clashed wit Ninja? Didnt know. Was it at Sunsplash?
Informer is his best known song that’s why he is considered a one hit wonder because he never saw the same success
Wheeeennnnnn??????
How come I’m just hearing this. And now ninja man in jail
@@lethal5flow679 he didn't clash with Ninja, man please. Ninja did what he did to everybody. they performed together and eventually Ninja threw some friendly fire. I'm pretty sure at least one of their performances with Snow, Ninja and Baby Wayne is on RUclips.
And the only reason he was a "one hit wonder" is because he was in prison in Canada and therefore was banned from entry to the US as well as UK and Japan. That's why radio in the US stopped playing him because he couldn't do shows or appearances. Nevertheless, he still managed to have like 3 or 4 big songs after that even if they didn't chart like "Informer" did in the major markets.
I'm from Scarborough east Toronto real talk Snow's name was legit in the streets back in the day...we knew Catz he knew that was on that real type time....salute to snow the original Toronto legend

Just when I thought this channel couldn’t get more interesting… I’m hooked.
Still lmao at Jim Carey doing the parody of Imformer called "Impostor" 😆 on In Living Color
Ion member that, I member when he did Vanilla Ice‼️😂🤣
Yeah that pissed us off at the time ... cause we knew bettee...he'd kick Carey and ILC ass.. fact is they were being straight up hypocritical racists..
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I STILL bump Snow's music to this day! I think it's sad that his sophomore album "Murder Love" didn't get much play. It's a pretty good record.
Wait. Snow was really about that life. Not going to lie. Use to think Toronto was sweet but definitely got humbled when I heard about Houdini. That sent me down the rabbit hole finding out Toronto had savages.
Nah there are lots of homicides in Toronto. 90-100 a year on average. If Toronto were in the US, it would be in the top 100 worst cities with a homicide rate of 2.0. It's no Chicago, Detroit or Philly but if you're in the streets there you can definitely get killed. Most rappers out of Toronto get murdered.
Who would think snow was a gangsta this going be a dope interview
Girl I’ve been hurt is still one of my favorite songs ever! Salute Snow🍾
Decades before drake Toronto had this legend
Started getting into Snow's music last month, great to see this interview happen! And for those who just know him for "Informer", just know he has a lot of other bangers, especially on his debut

Snow has to be one of the top "one hit wonders" of all time his song "Informer" went number 1 in America on the music charts while he was sitting in jail in 1993, even Mona Scott who owns the "Love and Hip-hop" franchises on TV was a dancer in Snow's "Informer" music video.
Really Mona Scott was a dancer
He had many hits especially in Jamaica where he was literally praised
