Fun fact: My city in NY(Rochester) had a fast ferry that flopped, trying to provide "quick" transport between us and Toronto. It failed because even as a straight line, it was about the same time, but far more expensive than gas to drive.
Thank you for the facts dawg

Lol! I took that once. Rochester got finessed! They built this nice terminal and Toronto just dumped you off in the Cherry St. wasteland. I got pulled aside by customs and they pressed me heavy.

I just got to say, thank you for the entertainment over the last like 2 years & for the enormous effort you put into this. I appreciate it Ross 💯
Impressive, I'm from Toronto and have to respect the research that was required to put this together.
The amount of non-rappers that died in these streets would also blow a lot of these viewer's minds.
We got people dying from Etobicoke to Scarbz, Sauga to Ajax, Vaughn to T-cliffe Park, ESP to Complex, Malvern to Rex, Galloway to Dixon.... its absolutely wild how many people we lost from 2015-2020..... and 2018 will always be one of the saddest years for us in T.O.
Its damn near impossible to not know someone who was killed in Toronto gang/gun violence in 2018 no matter how unaffiliated you are. RIP to the fallen
Let's have some perspective... Toronto is still the safest major city in North America. If they stopped following US culture - there would be even less.
How many died?

I grew up surrounded by gang activity in America.......as common as kidnappings were in my past, I'm genuinely shocked that this is apparently the first time you have covered one considering all these gangs you cover........kidnapping, torture, and murder is basically common where I come from.
I thought the shocking part was that they were forced to perform sexual acts on each other 😳 not the kidnapping
I just watched this yesterday and now they caught Top5, the story continues
Thats a great thing.
The “6ix” was started by a guy name JimmyFromThe6 he used to work with Smoke Dawg a lot, Drake bought the rights to “6ix” from him
And "The 6ix" is a name stolen from Atlanta's Zone 6. Toronto can't even be authentic in creating a nickname for itself. Atlanta will always be the original 6.
@@Savvce 6 came from the area code for Toronto 416 you goofy ass kid no one calls Atlanta the 6 😂

To clear things up, when dude was talking about being drakes shooter when out of towners come around, he's really talking about playing marbles. Drake puts mad cash down on matches and this certain dude is well known to be a killer with this special cats eye that's been in drakes family for generations. People think drake made all that money from music, but it's really all from marbles. When you win of course you get the money, but you also win your ops marbles . It's said drake has garbage bins filled with his ops marbles
Every time you release a video it can be 1 hour or 30 minutes you can never tell as it just flows. Most times I watch at least twice, inspiring work.

Drake did not give Toronto the 6ix nickname. That was created by Jimmy Prime, a local artist.
and really it's an imitation of Atlanta's Zone Six. It's not even a real authentic name.
@@Savvce ^ not true
@@elhalconloco it’s very true. Go look it up. Toronto barely got the “6ix” moniker in 2015. Atlanta’s zone 6 has been called that much longer. Even the Toronto raptors’ “we the north” slogan isn’t original.
We already had a bunch of cooler nicknames anyway, Hogtown, The Big Smoke. Even T/T-Dot were at least original.
Oh I agree, I have never and will never call it the 6ix. It’s always going to be Tdot for me.

Good video bro. It's hard to watch though, the amount of death and prison that these guys go through is sickening. How can people be so hardened to such things. There has to be better avenues for people to get out of this type of poverty. This isn't just financial poverty, it's poverty of education, self-education, self awareness and respect.
As someone from Etobicoke I just gotta say Bravo 😆
Was waitin on this n u did not disappoint.
Let me tell you something... You can walk anywhere in this city if you're just about your business and conduct yourself respectfully. You can even get a little messy and find your way home... Civilians rarely get touched. You fox around though and you might just find yourself in the arms of the Lord.
you know what? i can respect that. i felt safe in toronto even in the hood but i wasn’t sure if it was just my tourist naïveté. of course i watch my back at all times but nobody even looked at me funny in toronto the way in other cities you get a sense somebody watching you to see if they can catch you lackin. targeting innocents tho i just can’t get with that. it’s so many other ways to go about things
I feel this is how most places are , if you just mind your own business most of the time you’ll be fine .
@@CoupleHoursLate idk bout that one. You def wouldn't want to walk through the favelas of Rio de Janeiro , Port au prince, or Caracas thinking if you just "mind your business", everything will be fine.

You gotta give props to black people for shooting themselves and not taking out schools and randoms like white people.
Mad respect to Trap Lore Ross for putting people on whats going on in Toronto, the city got too much talent but losing too many rappers
Losing rappers? These are just gangbangers who get paid to make garbage music who then commit crimes. If this is the attn they get then maybe the columbine shooters should have dropped a mixtape for respect.
