Watching that mom say OTM was. "Family" was so sad. That's the problem. The adults make excuses. It's just like when these kids are killed, all we hear about is how they are good kids who never did anything wrong, little angels. No, they are gang members and killers. It seems to me that no supports the mass self genocide of young black kids more than the parents of the young black kids doing the killings. It makes me sad. I have such respect for those mean black mothers in the hood that dont let their kids off the porch. Those women are saving lives even if the kids dont know it at the time.
Crazy things is I’m going thru this now. My brother was recently murdered and his mom is making it like he was just an angel. I love my brother but I know his lifestyle just as his mom does and yes I’m sad and heartbroken but we know what comes with the streets. Not only that my kids are the outcast of the family cause I won’t let them outside when all the kids on the playground maybe just a small few but I know what be going on and I explain it to them also so they know.
It is def sad ... it seems like people have so much outrage about police involved shootings and claim cops/white people want to wipe out young black men .... which to be fair is understandable... not that they want to wipe them out but police officers should be held accountable and racism is real and unarmed people do die from the police .... BUT I just wish the same anger and outrage was there for the gang violence and destruction that young dudes in the hood are causing.
I don't know how you can watch the conditions of Savannah in poverty and be angry at the black mothers doing anything to survive, most times ALONE. People will do anything to be able to survive in these environments and if that means paying for rent or for groceries with drug money then so be it. They are no worse than the rich people drug dealing through pharmaceutical companies. Maybe you should blame the history and long line of oppressors that keep these cities in poverty before you blame the people suffering.

Cities back in the 1980's and 90's that were truly dangerous and truly getting down never allowed LA gangs to come in and takeover like New Orleans, Detroit, Philly, Miami, DC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago, Oakland and Richmond VA.. Some cities might've allowed them to come in after the year 2000 but even then they had no real push or power. And some sets were just randomly made by the locals and LA dudes had no real power over them.

Hey Trap you did your thing per usual. Technically Big Boi from Outkast is the biggest rapper from Savannah. He raps about it on the Aquemini album on song "West Savannah" (Track 8 for reference). Being from Savannah it was the main reason I listened to Outkast as a kid. I was too young to care about what they were actually achieving.
I would say Camouflage… I know big boy has the mainstream appeal. But Camouflage is a Savannah legend. His whole family straight down there. His daughter play at LSU.
Big Boi is from savannah but they got famous in atlanta. Back then savannah wasn't known for rap music. Atlanta barely was known. Kris Kros, kilo Ali, and a couple more were the only large known atlanta rappers. Outkast put atlanta on the map. Slowly, after atlanta became the hip hop city of the world and that all started with outkast

Well said
Crazy things is I’m going thru this now.
Gotta have balance. You don’t want your kid to join gangs but staying inside playing video games all day is even worse alot of the time.
Von confused the hell outta me in that live where he said "im not into it with no one. Dont wanna be into it with no one from another state. Theres gotta be a reason to be into it. Never heard of a gang of positivity. Wouldn't need a gand hiding in the streets if everything was positive, you would just be a productive citizen at that point. Gangs themselves are a cancer, just like the rap industry.
Chicago Nation's has nothing to do with Westcoast gangs.
Was about to say that..big boi been in the game longer then all these dudes been alive..
And local legend Camouflage
facts 💯
I would say Camouflage… I know big boy has the mainstream appeal. But Camouflage is a Savannah legend. His whole family straight down there. His daughter play at LSU.
Big Boi is from savannah but they got famous in atlanta. Back then savannah wasn't known for rap music. Atlanta barely was known. Kris Kros, kilo Ali, and a couple more were the only large known atlanta rappers. Outkast put atlanta on the map. Slowly, after atlanta became the hip hop city of the world and that all started with outkast
