  • Within the Era of the Wilds, you can find three mysterious dragons that fly around certain regions of Hyrule. Not much is known about them, but in this video, I wanted to discuss their potential origins and what roles they could play in the future.

Im so happy that youre talking about zelda and you mentioned the dragons were zonai theory and the sets that look like them could be somthing that they wore when they were still zonai. Somthing i want to mention about that is that the sets are small enough for link to wear but all zonai we've seen are taller then link but it could be for gameplay or a smaller zonai the rarru and mineru. And the theory that the dragons are protecing the pieces of the triforce would explain where it has been. I really hope you do talk about zelda lore more because you have amazing videos and it would be amazing to see zelda lore presented in your form of content

What you mentioned about a third game could be possible and there's one thing fans have been wanting that I think we could finally get in a third BotW game. So many videos I've seen, people say that they wish that they could have an option to play as Zelda and, in a tri-force based game, I think we could get that. If we look at the lore of the Age of Calamity game (which is one of my absolute favorites in the Zelda series, ngl (I cried so much)), we see Zelda gain a tri-force at the back of her hand. However, we know that, in the main timeline, Zelda lost her powers after her hundred years of battling Ganon. It would be interesting to have an adventure with Link and Zelda (the two of them traveling together) and going to each of the springs in the hope of obtaining the tri-force to boost Hyrule's power. Or maybe someone else is trying to get the whole tri-force and they have to get it before they do. Maybe play with time travel again and have someone or something from the future show up on Link and Zelda's doorstep and warn them about whoever is trying to gain access to the tri-force in the future. I think that'd be really cool and would make sense with what they already established. Maybe whoever controls the tri-force controls the dragons? That'd also be really cool and maybe Link and Zelda can release them from their forms too (assuming they didn't want to be that way to begin with but had to for whatever reason).

you know as soon as i heard of draconification being a thing from the cutscene where mineru first mentioned it, i immediately began to think that the 3 golden goddesses ate those secret stones but then i wasnt really agreeing with myself there so i just assumed it was someone of high importance in the past who ate the stones and left it at that lol

Just to go off topic, but I really want to share a surprising mystery I found out about the remains of the leviathans featured in both games. Now even in both games, very little is still known about them. What they were when they were alive and what impact they had in Hyrule’s history remains an unsolved mystery that unfortunately won’t be answered. So I’ve taken the creative liberty to search beyond Hyrule as well as the series in general. One leviathan died by a volcanic eruption by Death Mountain, one died after getting trapped in a cave at the North Hebra Summit by an unforgiving blizzard, and one (along with its child) died by a catastrophic drought in the Gerudo Desert. Strangely enough, every time I think about the fates of the leviathans, the more I think about a trio of unlikely mages from another renowned Nintendo series… The Three Mage Sisters from Kirby Star Allies. Now this may sound like a generic series crossover theory… but the more I look into the Mage Sisters, the more spot-on their supposed connection to these whale-like figures in Zelda is. All three sisters had traumatic backstories… Flamberge suffocated in a fire most likely caused by a volcano, Francisca was caught in a blizzard and suffered hypothermia, and Zan Partizanne had lost everything she held dear and became devastated to the point she was driven to attempted suicide by climbing a tower to allow lightning to take her own life… All three girls were on the verge of death… until a shaman named Hyness came and saved their lives by infusing them the powers of the elements that nearly killed them. Before further explanation, let me explain each mage one at a time.
In BOTW, the Eldin leviathan is mainly a monster campground, but I did some examining around the skeleton and found something interesting. There is a set of 4 rocks near the rib cage. Thing is… it’s no Korok puzzle… normally rocks can be used as an eternal memorial of someone who died. And once you look inside the leviathan skeleton, a Great Flameblade is placed next to a pile of bigger rocks. Unless the monsters nearby put it there, how does a Flameblade just sit there struck to the ground. Flamberge’s weapons of choice is in fact a flamberge sword. And I reason to believe that four rocks mark where she nearly died… Those rocks are no longer present in TOTK.
The Hebra leviathan seemed like a site of a Sheikah shrine, but further examining, I walked out of the cave and further away is a dormant Guardian lying in wait… I believe it’s where Francisca nearly met her end. Of all places why would a guardian just sit there in the middle of a snowfield? It’s likely Francisca was trapped in the cave, but managed to get out. Only… she only made it that far… In TOTK, the Guardian is replaced by rumble from one of the sky islands guarded by a Frost Gleeok…
The Gerudo leviathan is the site of another shrine and a Great Fairy fountain. If you look around, you’ll find one of each a warm, cool, and electric safflina… Coincidence? Not exactly… not until TOTK that is. Possibly due to the Upheaval, the leviathan is now located inside a cave. It was also here that players will realize that the Gerudo leviathan had a child. Both died due to the drought, possibly by a fierce sandstorm that strikes lightning… If you’ve completed the regional phenomenon in the Gerudo Desert, as you leave the cave, the Lightning Temple is a massive towering structure. Right as you leave, you can easily climb… The Gerudo region… associated with lightning… and the Mural’s Myth risen from the sands is the towering Lightning Temple. Zan climbed this towering temple… to end it all… herself…
Bottom line: the leviathans must’ve raised the Mage Sisters before their respective tragedies happened.

Furthermore, the Dark Skeletons in the Depths are obviously identical to each other… Is it an odd coincidence that these figures suddenly died directly beneath where the leviathans died on the surface? What if they weren’t alive to back with? What if they were materialized as a manifested reminder of the Mage Sisters’ eventual dark devotion to Void Termina? Strangely enough, the Phantom Ganon at the Gerudo Dark Skeleton wielded the Gloom Spear. What’s Zan Partizanne’s preferred weapon? A spear… The one at the Eldin Dark Skeleton carried a Gloom Sword. What’s Flamberge’s weapon? A sword. Although the one at the Hebra Dark Skeleton also had a sword (none of Ganon’s weapons are axes…), but the fact that others carried weapons that corresponded to the other two mages… pure coincidence?
Now let’s talk about the Mage Sisters’ appearances and personalities.
Francisca - calm, collected, a great sense of beauty, but also, cold-blooded and ruthless… (and obvious hesitation…)
Flamberge - short-tempered, easily angered, full of wrath… just as ruthless as Francisca (but like her… hesitant)
Zan Partizanne - a strong sense of leadership, undying loyalty, and easily short tempered when people forget her name… (no sign of any hesitation)
Little is known what they looked like in their “previous lives”, but they assumed these Poe-like forms. The more I get a good read about them, the more obvious it seems.
Francisca bears a shocking resemblance to Nayru (i.e. Nayru’s 2D sprite model in OOA). Clam, collected, ice and water, that better fits the description of Goddess Nayru… Is Francisca a distant relative of Nayru? Is she part goddess?
Flamberge has fangs (at least in headcanon judging from fan artworks); that’s more of a demon trait… Possibly a descendant of Batreaux in “human” form?
Zan Partizanne has a deep voice and bears an undying loyalty to Lord Hyness, and she follows him no matter to what end… That’s more of a Sheikah trait… Both the Sheikah and the Yiga have an undying loyalty to their respective deities… the tear in the Sheikah eye represents the horrific things they committed all for the sake of keeping Hylia’s bloodline safe.
Did the Mage Sisters originate from Hyrule? The Jambastion Cult symbol bears a shocking resemblance to Vaati’s demon form… who in turn resembles Dark Matter. (More ironic because Vaati was known as the “wind mage”).
The list of bizarre correlations goes on… I can list more if you want.

No offense on your take that Hyrule “got destroyed and started over with time resetting”, but that was an out of context statement that Fujibayashi wasn’t prepared for because in the words of Ratatoskr, Nintendo never took any past Zelda title, not even BOTW, into consideration, and *they never cared.*
So why say time itself somehow “started over” with absolutely no memory of the past timeline instead of ADMITTING they wanted to start a whole new continuity and reimagine the series lore? It’s not Xenoblade Chronicles with its own universal collapse plot structure… It’s Zelda. Either pick your side of the timeline and keep one or any of the others out of it.
I personally tend to leave TP’s post era up to fan interpretation. Allow me to make my own interpretations and/or keep them to myself.
All I can claim that most others refuse to accept is that BOTW and TOTK are just their own different timeline with no connection with what longtime fans are familiar with. There’s no point in making it more complicated than what it already has been.
