I've noticed this from the start. This is why I think the Queen piece (Venti) is far from the weakest archon. He's definitely mysterious and keeping a lot hidden from us. The fact he has a presence (through other anemo characters) in every archon quest, and has the least amount of story for himself, tells me he is more important than he let's on. The most interesting archon is definitely Venti. Edit/*Spoilers*: Let me add more to this to help others see the light lol. 1) When we first meet Venti, he says "Traveler, you don't remember me?" That is suspicious, implying that its a possibility he had some involvement with the other twin. 2) Windgliders do not work unless you have the blessing of the Anemo Archon. No other Archon has a gameplay mechanism based off of their abilities. 3) Venti's statue of the seven is implied to be a gateway to Celestia. 4) Venti has said that Celestia is going after a power "Greater than Dvalin", which is his familiar. 5) In his character demo it says "Full of Mystery, Born from the branches of time", which connects him with the God of Time. That God is also said to be linked with a Primordial One, which would make Venti a key to understanding Celestia's true intentions. Regardless, he is well aware of what is going on and knows exactly what will happen. Hence the "Let the wind guide/lead you through your journey" statements (and the fact we always have an anemo character step in to help the MC.) 6) His statue happened to be the only one upside down. 7) It was obvious Venti did not fight back when his Gnosis was "taken" from Signora. He was also the only one to have his forcibly extracted from him, while the other Archon's surrendered theirs. Venti's hair did not glow, therefore he didn't even bother to tap into any powers. His behavior and how he handled the situation was potentially a Gambit move, similar to how he tells us he's the weakest Archon. He did say he created a fake vision for himself, so maybe its a fake, maybe it's a strategical move to have his Gnosis taken. Either way, he did give Anemo Archon power to Dvalin, so I'm sure that will come into play, and he seems to know what happens next, implied by a certain conversation with the Traveler during the Golden Archipelago questline. 8) The Queen piece in chest is the strongest/most important piece. 9) He's the only Archon with little to no story. I think there is a reason for that and why he was released as the games first Limited Banner. If MHY were to release more story too early, that would most likely reveal who and what Venti really is/what he is capable of doing. 10) Venti has been our #1 biggest information source. Even more so than Zhongli. I can keep going all day and grab actual suspicious lines from the game too. But yeah, he's important, leads us on, deceives us, etc. Once we see more of Mondstadt's map released and finally another questline for him, I'm sure a lot of crazy information will be revealed. We started in Mondstadt and we shall end there too.

He is tho. Even among the Genshin lore community everyone agree that he is by far the most mysterious character and actually know more hidden secrets of the world (& future) His power is by far the mysterious one. We know what the other Archon are capable with and it straight forward but Venti power aside from yeeting mountain and change climate is mysterious. How the heck did he fix the holy lyre, call a spirit, let people see/hear a scene of the past (3.1).

Kazuha saving us was the most hype moment in Inazuma for me. Starting things off with the competition for a Masterless Vision, Kazuha telling us that it belonged to a friend who died, and then when he was desperate to protect us, his friend, the Vision from his old friend reawakened in response to a strong desire that initially brought it forth to Kazuha's friend in the past.
I can't remember, did we actually see the other vision light up? It could have actually been Venti behind the scenes. I mean, even if the vision did light up, two human visions are still no match for an archon. But another archon...
Archons arent the ones who grant visions, they dont even know how they really work, its just that the people think they do. Raiden has dialogue where she talks about it
Later in the song it says something like "Even if we're 6feet underground you know that we'll be safe and sound" Goes pretty hard with Zhongli saving Xiao at the last second. Zhongli might not have blessed us like Venti did but he does look out for his people.

An archon is someone who was chosen by celestia to obtain a gnosis but they can do whatever they want with the gnosis without losing their status, it's just a catalyst for channeling more power and a tie to celestia.

Thats why he made signora mad to make her take the gnosis. He didnt even make a single move. Just tried to make signora act fast by showing like he is trying to escape. That wind looked like a baby wind. He basically said "just take it and leave" easily. He didnt resist because he wants to know what will tsarista do too. But i think he misses his old friend.

For months, everyone was like: The chain was broken in Fontaine, Venti didn't fulfill his promise. We were saved twice by Wanderer in the summer event of the last Fontaine patch. THE CHAIN WILL GO ON AND ON!

Everybody talks about Ei and Zhongli but nobody realizes that Venti and Nahida are the only two who legitimately tried to help with what they knew. Zhongli is too stubborn as stone to tell you due to two contracts he made. And Ei is just….Ei.
Nahida is the Archon that loved his people the most, even when her love wasn't reciprocated by many, even when some of his people trapped her, she *never* stopped loving them and showing them mercy, Venti fought in a dilemma to save his people and help his friend, and even after saving his friend and he was falling to his death, ours too but we will ignore that fact, he didn't ordered him or asked him to help us, because he wanted Dvalin to make his own decissions and be free, the other two literally were menace to his people, Ei with the Vision Hunting and the Sokaku decree and Zhong Li literally let the Harbingers do whatever they wanted
In all fairness, we don't know the stipulation of Zhongli's contracts and the consequenses of breaking them. Like sure, we helped save Liyue but him breaking his contract could mean an even worse fate fro Liyue or Teyvat for that matter. Plus, given that he is the Archon of contracts, to break his own ideal wouldn't seem right. Ei on the other hand is more unknown, not sure how much she would know if anything but since we never directly asked her, still a mystery
ei simply didnt know anything about the other sibling because she didnt went in khaneriah, its makoto that maybe knows or surely knows nahida has the biggest brain and heart of all the archon so far, bartering knowledge with the doctor about the other sibling before losing the gnosis, also using former enemy to browse the irminsul for info
Venti is best. In a world where power is pretty much everything and you gain power through pushing your values on others, he goes out handicapped and still has the country with the least issues. Heck, Mondstadt is free enough to send out the majority of its fighting force abroad. As for issues at home, they’re the only nation so far to not have a serious bandit problem and Dvalin would have been handled much sooner if not for us. The moment Venti’s plans went awry, he immediately shifts to turning the problem (us) into a very big advantage. Zhongli was great for his time, but Liyue is only now catching up to the independence of Mondstadt. Ei is Ei. She lacked experience with a job that she wasn’t planning to take. Nahida is a solid start, and likely would surpass Venti eventually. But she’s still new. She isn’t lying when she brings up things she does not understand. And she absolutely needed our help at first.
Venti's always watching out for us. And considering he's the most secretive even compared to Zhongli says a lot. Maybe he did meet the traveler before in Khaenri'ah and even helped the traveler and their sibling escape. His core values IS freedom.
venti: ok my children, go rescue the traveler for the umpteenth time because he can't pass an archon mission without fainting. Xiao: *nods and leaves* Kasuha: After carrying the fate of a nation on my schedule, I too would faint. Wanderer: most useless fucking thing hahahahahaha.
That part where Kazuha saves our ass from Raiden Shogun gave me the biggest chills in the game. Also when the Wanderer got his Anemo vision for saving us is one of the biggest and best surprises in the game’s lore. Anemo is just built different.

She works herself to the bone for a city that hates her. *Ayato and Ayaka:* Their parents died when they were still children, forcing Ayato to step up and take command of the entire Kamisato clan and the Yashiro Commission, fending off enemies both in politics and in combat... all while unprepared for his parents' sudden death. And Ayaka had to deal with all this happening as well, long before she reached adulthood. *Ei:* Spent thousands of years training herself to become a god of war for the sake of her sister (and few friends)... Sasayuri was killed by the Watatsumi forces during the war with Orobashi, while everyone else all died in the Cataclysm; Chiyo's mind was consumed by erosion, Saiguu was consumed by Abyssal corruption, and Makoto died on mainland Teyvat, before Ei could reach her. Not only did she lose everyone she cared about, she lost them all to the one thing she spent her life perfecting. These are just the ones I'm familiar with enough to comment on. I'm fairly sure Rosaria, Diluc, Qiqi, and Shenhe have their own tragic backstories to deal with. I could also write about Sara, but I think 3 is enough for one comment. So yes, there are plenty of non-Anemo characters who have tragic backstories.

There’s a reason why Venti/Celestia has been giving anemo visions to people who have lost a close friend. They now have another friend to fill in the hole left in their hearts.
Ei mentions that archons do not give visions, but at the same time no electro vision was given out after she closed inazuma’s borders. This would mean either archons just don’t give visions and it’s a coincidence bc it’s been only 1 year or archons have smt to do with giving visions but celestia grants it to the user so venti doesn’t have connections with other anemo characters.
Venti's words can't be ignored. I feel like they might reveal venti as the strongest archon later in lore. He was just so unaware all this time. And also anemo is most cherished element in lore.

I know its not the archons themselves that give the visions but I like to think that the users of the vision reflect atleast some component of the archons themselves like values and aspirations
Also electro! Razor was one of the first to help us, save us I mean, as well as getting help from Keqing in battle, saved by Yae, saved by Cyno, and Clorinde in Fontaine. Ororon also helped in Natlan.

Venti's hair did not glow, therefore he didn't even bother to tap into any powers. His behavior and how he handled the situation was potentially a Gambit move, similar to how he tells us he's the weakest Archon. He did say he created a fake vision for himself, so maybe its a fake, maybe it's a strategical move to have his Gnosis taken. Either way, he did give Anemo Archon power to Dvalin, so I'm sure that will come into play, and he seems to know what happens next, implied by a certain conversation with the Traveler during the Golden Archipelago questline.
8) The Queen piece in chest is the strongest/most important piece.
9) He's the only Archon with little to no story. I think there is a reason for that and why he was released as the games first Limited Banner. If MHY were to release more story too early, that would most likely reveal who and what Venti really is/what he is capable of doing.
10) Venti has been our #1 biggest information source. Even more so than Zhongli.
I can keep going all day and grab actual suspicious lines from the game too. But yeah, he's important, leads us on, deceives us, etc. Once we see more of Mondstadt's map released and finally another questline for him, I'm sure a lot of crazy information will be revealed. We started in Mondstadt and we shall end there too.
I definitely feel like he downplays just how strong he is, plus I’m hella interested in what’s under Cider Lake.

Kazuha saving us was the most hype moment in Inazuma for me. Starting things off with the competition for a Masterless Vision, Kazuha telling us that it belonged to a friend who died, and then when he was desperate to protect us, his friend, the Vision from his old friend reawakened in response to a strong desire that initially brought it forth to Kazuha's friend in the past.

We know Raiden gave her gnosis long ago to yae miko but that doesn't make miko the electro archon. An archon is someone who was chosen by celestia to obtain a gnosis but they can do whatever they want with the gnosis without losing their status, it's just a catalyst for channeling more power and a tie to celestia.

Everybody talks about Ei and Zhongli but nobody realizes that Venti and Nahida are the only two who legitimately tried to help with what they knew.
Zhongli is too stubborn as stone to tell you due to two contracts he made. And Ei is just….Ei.
Nahida is the Archon that loved his people the most, even when her love wasn't reciprocated by many, even when some of his people trapped her, she *never* stopped loving them and showing them mercy, Venti fought in a dilemma to save his people and help his friend, and even after saving his friend and he was falling to his death, ours too but we will ignore that fact, he didn't ordered him or asked him to help us, because he wanted Dvalin to make his own decissions and be free, the other two literally were menace to his people, Ei with the Vision Hunting and the Sokaku decree and Zhong Li literally let the Harbingers do whatever they wanted

In all fairness, we don't know the stipulation of Zhongli's contracts and the consequenses of breaking them. Like sure, we helped save Liyue but him breaking his contract could mean an even worse fate fro Liyue or Teyvat for that matter. Plus, given that he is the Archon of contracts, to break his own ideal wouldn't seem right.
Ei on the other hand is more unknown, not sure how much she would know if anything but since we never directly asked her, still a mystery
ei simply didnt know anything about the other sibling because she didnt went in khaneriah, its makoto that maybe knows or surely knows
nahida has the biggest brain and heart of all the archon so far, bartering knowledge with the doctor about the other sibling before losing the gnosis, also using former enemy to browse the irminsul for info
Venti is best. In a world where power is pretty much everything and you gain power through pushing your values on others, he goes out handicapped and still has the country with the least issues. Heck, Mondstadt is free enough to send out the majority of its fighting force abroad. As for issues at home, they’re the only nation so far to not have a serious bandit problem and Dvalin would have been handled much sooner if not for us. The moment Venti’s plans went awry, he immediately shifts to turning the problem (us) into a very big advantage.
Zhongli was great for his time, but Liyue is only now catching up to the independence of Mondstadt.
Ei is Ei. She lacked experience with a job that she wasn’t planning to take.
Nahida is a solid start, and likely would surpass Venti eventually. But she’s still new. She isn’t lying when she brings up things she does not understand. And she absolutely needed our help at first.
And this is why venti is my favorite archon. Dispite not helping us find our sibling he helped us stay safe elsewhere

Venti's always watching out for us. And considering he's the most secretive even compared to Zhongli says a lot. Maybe he did meet the traveler before in Khaenri'ah and even helped the traveler and their sibling escape.

*Ayato and Ayaka:* Their parents died when they were still children, forcing Ayato to step up and take command of the entire Kamisato clan and the Yashiro Commission, fending off enemies both in politics and in combat... all while unprepared for his parents' sudden death. And Ayaka had to deal with all this happening as well, long before she reached adulthood.
*Ei:* Spent thousands of years training herself to become a god of war for the sake of her sister (and few friends)... Sasayuri was killed by the Watatsumi forces during the war with Orobashi, while everyone else all died in the Cataclysm; Chiyo's mind was consumed by erosion, Saiguu was consumed by Abyssal corruption, and Makoto died on mainland Teyvat, before Ei could reach her. Not only did she lose everyone she cared about, she lost them all to the one thing she spent her life perfecting.
These are just the ones I'm familiar with enough to comment on. I'm fairly sure Rosaria, Diluc, Qiqi, and Shenhe have their own tragic backstories to deal with. I could also write about Sara, but I think 3 is enough for one comment.
So yes, there are plenty of non-Anemo characters who have tragic backstories.

They now have another friend to fill in the hole left in their hearts.
Ei mentions that archons do not give visions, but at the same time no electro vision was given out after she closed inazuma’s borders. This would mean either archons just don’t give visions and it’s a coincidence bc it’s been only 1 year or archons have smt to do with giving visions but celestia grants it to the user so venti doesn’t have connections with other anemo characters.
