I just got 2 more service letters in the mail for my Ram 1500. Tundra is solid, and doesn’t need all the frills and gimmicks that will just fail outside of warranty anyways.

You could have named this video "Basic maintenance after off-road fun" and showed why you don't leave mud on wheels, suspension and undercarriage until it turns to concrete. That would have made for an informative video for newbie four wheeler's. What happened here has nothing to do with what brand truck was driven. If I took my Power Wagon out in the Georgia mud and let that clay harden on my wheels the results would have been the same. If I made a video of my now unbalanced wheels shaking my truck I wouldn't have named it "My PW is broken", I'd call it "I messed my truck up because I'm an idiot".

I think there V8s are great..but that tiny 6cyl thats turbo charged? Nah, not for a big truck that you beat the hell out of.. every one keeps saying it has more horsepower then some V8s this and that..well..your still asking that tiny engine to do alot of work..my prediction, he's going to have nothing but issues with the 6 cyl..he had a warranty so that helps, but that brings us back to what's normal wear and tear and what's abuse..I posted the warranty info on the raptor on a different post already, somebody said the trucks built for this..that's a subjective statement lol..I do hope all turns out to be ok with Ben's truck, but I'm also very curious as to the outcome of all this..
For those who say this means Fords are crap. You know those tiny little weights they put inside your rim when they balance it? Ever seen a washing machine when all the clothes are on one side? This physics concept applies to every single automobile and washing machine on the planet.
That's funny, I had this once (I didn't even go that crazy offroad) and the second I merged on the highway, I literally thought I was going to loose a wheel or something lol! But I assumed it must've had something to do with balance because I only noticed it when up to speed. Sure enough, big and heavy chunks of mud stuck to the wheels, and to my surprise even a piece of cardboard, completely squished and stuck to the wheel the same way clothes tend to stick to the inside of a washing machine lol!
I remember the first time I went mudding! Washed the truck off real well or so I thought same day. Next morning the drive to work I was like wth is wrong with my truck. Pulled over looked it over and seen I didn’t get enough of the mud off......

I own a lifted 2500 Silverado with 35s on Toyo MTs. Under the right conditions (it doesn’t happen often) snow sticks to the rims and causes the tire to go out of balance. Easiest solution is to either find a self serve car wash with a power sprayer or buy a power washer for home use. If the latter make sure you store the power washer in a garage that stays above freezing. Works on frozen mud too. I’d be careful using a chisel on those rims. Next car-I’m thinking a challenger with a Hemi. Cheers!
You can also put some RV antifreeze in the pump after use if it's going to be in a freezing environment. Good tip, though, on pointing out the dangers of a frozen power washer.
Get a Pressure Washer and do the Rims and Under carriage the just like when you go muddling with Jeeps you have to Wash them or the Extra Weight of the Clay will throw your Balance out of wack! I have a buddy with a 2017 Heavily Modded Jeep Unlimited that Cracked the Engine Block because of the Clay build up that did NOT allow the HEAT to Dissipate and the Block just Crack but he is cook with it because he has is Putting a Hellcat Engine in his Jeep along with all kinds of new stuff. That is WHY I do NOT go anywhere NEAR MUD! I do not mind dirt or water but when I go thru water like Rivers or Creeks at the end of the day before going home I hit a Car wash with High Pressure Washer to get Anything that could be in the Wheels or Undercarriage that is in the Rules of Off Roading at least the East Coast Version!
Scratched the rims to hell using that chisel. Just take the rims off and soak that mud next time. I mean ya it’s the inside of the rim but still made me cringe seeing you using a chisel.
So the dealership that sold you an $75K truck didn't take the time to wash the inside of the rims for you and road test the truck to see if that fixed the problem. Also, I'm call BS on what they think caused check engine light. I think you got a Junior tech that couldn't figure out what caused these issues.
