- We have here a 2010 Hyundai Accent that is running rich and has a code for the downstream 02 sensor. The wiring to the sensor was all cut up, so I fixed that up, but the sensor is still not reporting. Let's see if we can fix it, no parts required! Hope you enjoy!

Your ability to diagnose these electrical problems is outstanding. Great job.
Thanks!
I'm a semi skilled at a dealer and you teach me more through a video than many techs here. Thank you for recording and showing these, I'm learning how to diagnose cars way better after watching your videos. Cheers.
Thank you, Glad to help!
Check out pine hollow auto diagnostic , he is great too
I never get tired of watching your channel,i always all ears to learning new things, and the field of work you do is one of the hardest to master, because car technology just keeps changing and evolving!!! Thanks my friend for sharing!!!!
💯 I learn something new everyday. Thanks Jeff!
Just recently subscribed to your channel- keep up the good work. You’re definitely on your way to running with the “Big Boys” Eric O SMA, Ivan PHAD, SD’r et all…It’s nice watching this type of work!!!
Appreciate it!!
I asked before I watched the vid. My bad. U explained it. I have made the same fix, adding a ground on a Ford downstream sensor. Save the customer a computer. Great video!!!
Thanks!
Great no parts required fix😊...customer should be happy with your work 😀...cheers
Thanks 👍
why do you not have more subs ? excellent work
Thanks!
THAT WAS AWESOME ,, IT'S SO GOOD WHEN YOU KNOW HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS AND HAVING A WIRING DIAGRAM THANKS FOR YOUR CONTINUED EFFORTS TO SHOW HOW IT'S REALLY DONE IN REAL TIME !!!🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you liked it!
Your videos are great man, really appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
I appreciate that!
Nice work as always... I've been eyeing that bulb holder tool from Brandon for a while now. I might order a few
You should! it's great.
Short but full to the brim. Thanks.
great job as always very informative ,
Thank you!
Need a second opinion please. Persistent P0161, B2S2 heater circuit, has power, has ground pulse from ECM, swapped sensor from bank to bank, still same code. Leaning toward ECM, any thoughts on it is appreciated. Great videos as always, right to the point.
I would check on a scanner if you have amperage through the sensor.
good job
Interesting. Any thoughts about ohming the sensor ground to the power ground on the computer itself? Just to eliminate the possibility of a bad wire crimp at the connector. Since no power required, it could be done with the connector off.
That sounds like a good idea, I probably should of done that. Thanks!
Hi! Great job. I have a Hyundai Accent 2010 and the scanner device shows me issues with the Oxygen sensor # 2. It has never been changed and the car has 187,000 Km. What brand or brands of oxygen sensors do you recommend for this car? Do you know how many wires does the original sensor 2 have? I want to find the right one and give it to the auto mechanic for installation.Thank you!
I like Denso 02 sensors; here's the part # for your vehicle, DENSO 2344851. I would not buy one from Amazon or eBay, as many are fake. I like to get them local or from Rockauto.com
@@advancedleveldiagnostics Thank you so much. Straight and to the point! I found it.
Also, to my knowledge, what's the name of the portion of the tube where the downstream O2 sensor is connected to? It looks that my car has a very old one, and I was wondering if that breaks when trying to remove the old 02 sensor.
Video is very very good 👍
Thank you very much!
Genuine question, why do you use a pierce probe instead of just back probing the wiring behind the connector?
Many times, you can't get a reliable connection with back probing, or the connector is hard to access. You can also cross pins if it's a really tight connector.
hey .. Thanks for the heads up on that X431 Pro being on sale. I bought one and my buddy bought one and it's a pretty killer tool.
On mine, everything seems to work fine, except on the first home page where there are several buttons, the: "SERVICE FUNCTION" button does not work.. Well it works, it just takes me to a blank page; where normally it would be a bunch of shortcuts of resets, etc. It looks like I can still do the functions, they are just scattered around in the software and different modules, rather than having them grouped up in a convenient menu. Are you going to make a video about this thing or a review, etc? Because I would really like to know if mine is just broken and needs repaired or if that 'service function' button just isn't supported for something this old? Can you please just open up yours and see if that 'Service Function" button in the center, near the top-- that has the wrench symbol: is working or not? Please let me know-- I really appreciate it. and thanks again for the clearance shout out.
Mine is blank too
Doesn't piercing the wire cause a possible place for corrosion? Just asking
I seal all the holes with clear nail polish.
That is a very good idea. Thanks
Nice video, do you have one on how to check ARF's??
Thanks! I don't think I have one yet.
thanks@@advancedleveldiagnostics
Awesome
Yo sometimes when I click your video I think it’s a south main auto video until you start talking then I’m like oh shit. The thumb nails look similar lol was thinking about leaving the dealer to do mobile don’t know if it’s worth it though?
He’s running with the big boys!!! I’m sure all the usual suspects (Eric O, Ivan, Scanner Danner etc…)appreciate his hard work!!!!!!
Great job. Do you think will throw a code after awhile because the ground from the coumputer one time i did the same and the code came back but i am not sure it's heater ground countrol or the sensor ground
The shop took it on a long test drive and it wasn't coming back. I'm hoping it will stay off.
is the problem a bad computer?
Yes
i had this case , i changed the oxygen sensor bank2 , the code is still present.
i returned the car to the owner.
Well done bro, does the downstream o2 sensor effects the engine performance, I thought it's been there to let you know that your cat is good, is that right ??!
I couldn't find in service info, but I definitely have seen cars that have a Data PiD for downstream fuel control. But watching these fuel trims, it is clearly affecting it.
@@advancedleveldiagnostics right, we are missing a something
Check the channel called TST Seminars. They have a video from December 2023 titled Mastering Generic Scan Data (check 24 minutes into the video). They addressed this issue of rear O2 sensors contributing to fuel trims.
@@abdul-kabiralegbe5660 thanks Abdul-kabir 🤗🤗
I will check that
You didnt' really need to prove pin fitment.. You already showed that the pin was working when you put power to it and it would go UP on the scantool. (11:30) .. It's still not a bad idea to touch all bases though when calling a bad computer. Edit: (well, unless that power was actually going down and through the O2 sensor and the signal change was coming back up through a different line.. and not the suspect ground pin)
With the test light I was only proving that the signal wire was good, the ground is separate.
@@advancedleveldiagnostics At 11:30 -- you put 12v on that same ground wire, and showed how it spikes the signal on the scantool; but I think it was just passing the voltage back through the O2 sensor and effecting your signal waveform on the other line (the positive side).. So it did still prove that the signal wire was good.. Plus it proved that your ground WIRE was good from the computer to the sensor... Plus your test light wasn't lighting up -- so it also proves that your ground coming from inside the computer wasn't working: all in one test ............. anyway, I see now what it was doing. It's hard to explain in text form. :) ......... Tapping into that wire at the computer tests everything all at once from that one spot. I'll remember that on my next one.
Why do look at engine load? What significance does that pid have? Just curious. I always c that pid but it seems it just would tell if I am pressing the gas pedal
Engine load is calculated from engine rpm, temp, tps, maf, map, etc input. If for example your maf is reporting incorrectly, engine load will be off as well. Its a clue, a piece of the puzzle.
Thank u Mr.blonde. Appreciate that!!
No parts are the best repairs
Got those custom fast and furios air vents!
lol I was wondering what they were.
It like a Hyundai car week😂
👍
Couldn't you just checked the ground with a test light.
I did that first.
