I was thinking up the exact design before I saw yours! One thing which would be amazing to do also is to have a programmable load for example testing motor circuits with automatic cut off based on current . I had a job the other day where I was diagnosing a bad parking brake actuator. These actuators have a specific current profile where the current spikes as the toque increases at end of rotation

@@advancedleveldiagnostics I love that channel.. I've watched all his videos 3 or 4 times each. lol.. I bought some pizo's.. and building one of his other kits.
I found this one a little tricky to follow since I wasn't always sure which wire and which end of the connector was being tested. I believe it was not the 5V reference wire that was abnormal, it was the coolant pump control wire, labeled red in the diagram. On startup after clearing codes it had a messy 12V hash, superimposed on the expected PWM signal, following which the hash disappeared when the PCM reacted by shutting the circuit down to leave a 3V bias. Interestingly the 3V bias was not coming from the PCM because it disappeared when the component was unplugged from the wire being tested. This led to suspicion the new aftermarket part was spilling voltage into that red control wire. It's another example of how some of your clues may disappear when the PCM shuts the circuit down to protect itself. I wish there was some kind of trouble code to flag when the PCM does that.
Very informative.! Having 5 volts disconnected, and 3 volts connected is a red flag that the component is bringing down the 5 volt reference. Thanks again for another great video..
I love that tool. I enjoy the preciseness of the amp selection. I'm nerding out over it. Plus, when I bust it out in front of people I can keep up the "stand back, I got this under control" vibe lol. Diag techs are a rare these days, anything I can do to look more important than I am I'll take it >.>
That tool is pretty awesome....guys that say tools like that, labscopes, powerprobes, etc arent needed should stick to the parts cannon instead of diag work. BTW, what kind of labscope do you have here? Never seen that one before
Hello I hope you’re having a good day. In your video you said the VAR LOAD TEST LIGHT is from the GadgetList guy. Since he listed it and you made it is this product for sale? And if it is what is the price? Thank you I hope you have a good weekend.
I wanted to say your tool is amazing! Would it be possible for you to sell me the 3D case or even build one for me? Looking forward to hearing from you
I"m sorry but I find this guy hard to understand, he speaks too fast and tends to run his words together. I"ll probably catch some grief for this comment, but it is what iy is.
I've been following his work for awhile and perhaps I feel that in the advance level I already have a feel of the diagnose process and seeing him go the motions really makes it a clearer picture. My apologies on his behalf. 🙏
Each and every auto electrical diag/ repair channel on RUclips has its own UNIQUE technician/ mechanic that produces this kind of content. Having said that, obviously we would like to have a better understanding of what is taking place in each diag/fix. Perhaps you should “try harder” at understanding what is taking place in this video!!!! This guy, I believe his name is Alex?, is quick and to the point-- without a lot of BULLSHIT!!!! His regular viewers/ subscribers appreciate this channel. What a cheap comment to make!!!! Alex keep up the GREAT work, your work ethic and energy is definitely inspiring. May this channel continue to grow, Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year to all!
I turn the youtube setting playback speed to 75% and it is easier to understand... I like this guy but have always had a hard time with the fast New Jersey talk...
@advancedleveldiagnostics 10-4, wish i would get that lucky. The dual stage solenoid in the oil pump always goes out with the ones i work on. Ive made a fortune doing cam followers ( rocker arms) in these engines!
GADGETS#186 in action!
again, thanks for the shoutout
Thanks for the design, I'm really enjoying it!

I'm sorry I wasn't clear, but you got it perfect!
I prefer you over some of the other guys. you’re fast and to the point
Thanks!
I feel like you're a very underrated RUclips technician and you deserve more follows bro. 👏🏼
Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks for watching!
That resistance box is pretty cool!
Very cool 3D printed resistance controller
Thanks it was designed by @thegadgetsplaylist

🤣🤣 I agree!
Ha ! 👍🏼 . Yeah that’s called sales and marketing I suppose . 😁
nice captures with good little scoe scope
Great diag as always..again prved aftermarket parts are junk
Merry Christmas !
🕊🎄
Thanks, you too!
It's funny watching you resist pulling out the pico. lol.. I know it's a hassle setting it up sometimes.
Yeah, the setup can take a while. 😂
thanks👍
Bring that tool to market🎓💰👍🇺🇸
Great videos ♦️
That tool you built is awesome

Good video Thanks ☺️

Well done Chuck 👍

Sorry its not my design to sell, it's from @theGadgetsplaylist
Great video as usual
Thanks again!
nice work!!
Thanks!
Can you get wiring diagram for gadget test with that volt amp meter in thanks
❤❤❤❤❤❤
That is a cool toy.
His whole channel is full of cool toys
👍🏿
I hate aftermarket parts
Second 🥈😂
First!
Thanks for watching!
Once again, aftermarket parts are junk.
💯

Needs an oil pump with the p06DD code i work on alot of these 3.6 pentastar engines!
Most times I've had this code was because the filter was messed up or low on oil. This car was very low on oil.
@advancedleveldiagnostics 10-4, wish i would get that lucky. The dual stage solenoid in the oil pump always goes out with the ones i work on. Ive made a fortune doing cam followers ( rocker arms) in these engines!
