I thought diagnostics would be stymied once it started working again but you found a way to keep using your tools to determine the problem. Then using charts to realize the ground was not the one two inches from the module but 10 feet away. I hope you get paid very well. You are talented and relentless.
nice, I'm in that club as well. This is a known issue and there is a TSB to prevent water from causing this corrosion around those pin connectors behind the tire spare well.
@@advancedleveldiagnostics not quite, disconnecting the connector behind the tire well plastic trim would have also saved time. It would have restored the network. In my case the network line was partially shorting to power, adding a load to that power with a test light would break the short (green crusty) temporarily and the network was perfectly fine, after a few seconds, the wire would short to power again, it was fun to watch how the network would restore and go to positive. I believe in my case it was dropping the modules for the power windows, I need to pick my brain on that lol, I need to start documenting things as well.
@@scientist100 Here, the network was restored after I disconnected the rear module. The rear module was corrupting the network because it didn't have good ground, so it only pulled it down to 8 volts.
@ 11:30, My intuition is that there's a pin fit issue at the rear control unit. Edit: A classic case of when "ALL" doesn't mean "ALL". 😪 Good find Bro!👍
Great video sir . As always. I like the fact that you tide the pin with the back probe and that fix it . Another mechanic or shop would say that’s it is fix. However you did not finish there you keep investing ( diagnosed) until you solve the problem that is why a good then is never assumed something
Terrific troubleshooting video. I have an 07 Honda Odyessey with a similar problem . I plug in my scanner and it says short to rear A/C unit. It has the code it does not set a mil light and everything seems to be working . Think I’ll check some grounds with my Uscope tomorrow . Looks like the bad ground was on the rear passenger side . Thanks for sharing appreciate all of your videos. Artie 👍
Great video, these are my favorite diags, once you see that voltage drop everything just clicks and you're done. But they are the more enjoyable types. Small scope, and a multimeter, its awesome. You definitely have a "right to work" attitude which is great too, Makes us pay attention to keep up with whats going on. Nice job man..
Great diag and explanation sir...did you noticed honda is slow on scan tools or its just me that😅i always hate scanning honda it takes years😅..cheers mate
I'm not really a fan of the uScope; it is way too fragile. The Micro BNC connector broke on both of mine. I sent one back, and they fixed it for me, but it broke again a week later. My other one was in a Jarhead Diagnostic case, so it lasted longer but eventually broke. This is cheaper, has a full BNC connector, and charges with a C cable, unlike the uScope, which uses the old USB charger. Oh, and almost forgot this has 2 channels! The only downside is this is a little bigger, and the buttons are not as user-friendly. Once you get used to it, it's no big deal.
Great video. What does Honda call that network, K line, Lin bus, class B? On that network do the modules transmit and receive or just receive? Thank you in advance for your answers. By the way, we have to be politicly correct, on Lin bus network, the main module is called parent, and the satellite modules are called children. Can no longer use master and slave modules or father son modules terminology.
Hi thank you for your video. 2 questions by chance do you have any videos on voltage drops? Also what’s your experience with the scanner you’re using Topdon I think it’s called?, maybe any other videos using the same scanner. Thanks again
This video I use voltage drop: ruclips.net/video/TsLHSUxLcFw/видео.html I am really happy with the TopDon, I've been using it for over two years now. It is my go to scanner. Most of my videos using a Scan tool use the TopDon.
Blindly cleaning all the grounds would have worked if they had cleaned ALL the grounds. It appears that they decided it was too much of a hassle to get to the one that actually needed to be cleaned, or maybe they didn't see it when they peeked into the small opening in that panel. If they had used the data to see which exact grounds affect the system they'd have fixed it.
I'm just starting out. I see you have a Panasonic tablet in your hand. I guess that's what is called. Are you hooked up to all data or one of the other
I'm using the Leolav scope, amzn.to/3AEeiS2, but it seems to be out of stock. This Scope looks the same under a different company.

Where can I order those scope leads your using?

Thank you for your videos. I want to take your advice on buying a dignostics device at a cheap price Do you recommend topdon or xtool d9 !
I like the TopDon better; I am biased as I used a TopDon as my primary scan tool for over two years.

Nice find. Voltage drop is often overlooked in diagnostics
👍
You amaze me sometimes, a diag wizard.
Thanks!
Another excellent demonstration of how to check your grounds
Thanks for watching!
Dang you’re fast and accurate with your diagnosis! Thanks for sharing.

Truly an artist in electrical problems 👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks!

That's why I try never to blindly follow TSBs unless the data takes me there. In this case, it would have taken me down a rabbit hole.

We cleaned all the grounds, oh except that one🤦♂️.
The irony😂
In their defense, they did clean the ground by the module. Leave it to Honda to have the module ground halfway across the car.
Great job
Well done 👍

How do you get you tablet to screen share on the video your editing? I was watching this when your comment came through on my channel.
I use a screen recorder on my computer called RecForth, Then I add it in when I'm editing it in Capcut pc.

where did you get the scope you use (blue)? I don't see in your amazon store.
