Not sure why you dont have as many views as eric o or pine hollow. I prefer your vidoes actually straight to the point under 20 minutes. And step by step is very easy to follow as you keep it fluid with no in-between bs. Keep up the good work
As a fellow mobile diag tech, it is so refreshing to see someone work in the same fashion and manner I do. I often reflect on how easy it is to head down the rabbit hole when it comes to diag like this. I think about a lesser experienced tech not immediately putting a scope on the sensor but just performing the visual inspection and finding the broken wire. This was great diag and if any new or lower level techs are watching, keep watching.

Nice diag,i aready got a similar trouble, the shop swap the connectors on the transmission,it was a 2013 grand caravan, theres 2 sensor behind the front left wheel in the rear, they have the same connector
I finally understand the parts canon procedure, after reading many comments criticizing piercing probes I realized that the mechanics that use the parts canon do it because they don't want to damage wires by piercing them for diagnostic purposes. LOL
Had a Dodge journey at my shop. Customer paid off their car and the local scumbags buy here pay here says yeah bring it up we will remove your GPS tracker. 6 hours later they sent em down the road. It lasted about 2 months and it stopped shifting. So it had code for one of the input sensor can't remember. Started looking at it and on the sensor ground was an extra wire running to ground. I'm assuming they cut the wire when removing this tracker and then fried the PCM with a power probe. Added the wire to ground and it got them out the door.
One question I have about your readings... If it was a ground problem for that one branch of the splice, how come you managed to get a reading with the scope while backprobing the sensor?
I have a genuine question. Could you have just probed the harness connector with the Power Probe ECT3000 and figured out you had a short to ground as well? Same conclusion, just a different approach? Or no? I'm still learning, and scopes aren't a strong suite of mine quite yet.
@@advancedleveldiagnostics I wish I could just absorb your knowledge!!! I'd literally come work for you for free just so I could learn. You're really really good at diagnostics, which is the most difficult part of fixing cars. You should sprinkle in some "how to videos" on your channel, and show ho to use some of these tools.

I agree. If we went by views, we would be watching Rainman Ray's videos and not learning anything valuable. Rainman Ray has no clue what he's doing with anything that involves electricity, but he has a lot more views than this channel and many other channels that teach many valuable things. I think Rainman Ray's viewers watch his videos for the silly and senseless things he does and says.
.. well something just ain't right.... On Chrysler products if the trans output sensor shows circuit failure it will set a cold specifically for the transmission output sensor..... I wonder what happened in this case???

His minutes are under 20 minutes because that NJ/PA speech pattern is at 2x natural speed. I have to put the video at .85 speed to understand him.!

I hear Pentastar ticky tick.
You bet!
and next week after they sell it, it will blow a damn head gasket.
Run it
Very good diagnostic.

Parts changer, new transmission, all that expense for a broken wire!!!!!!! 💪💪💪
probably broke the wire changing the tranny
@rogerdedrick373 I agree that's most likely what happened.

Great job, excellent troubleshooting!!-

Sounds like it needs an engine as bad as that new trans. I cringed when you reved it up!

Great job, I enjoy your diagnostics. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!

Hey brother great videos! Could you do a video on how you use that small oscilloscope? Considering purchasing it.

What! No more AC repairs 😂
Good job on that broken wire,
They replaced a whole transmission for a broken wire
It's possible this wire broke when they changed the transmission. I don't know the original problem.
Nice work brother 👍
Thanks!
I wonder if they ripped the wire putting the new transmission in. Or was that the problem all along?
Good video! Thanks again.!
Thanks!
One question I have about your readings... If it was a ground problem for that one branch of the splice, how come you managed to get a reading with the scope while backprobing the sensor?
The sensor produces its own voltage so I was able to get a signal even without a ground.
🤦♂️Should have figured that out by myself haha
Thanks.
What scope are you using?
Good morning to you great job 4x amazing.✌
Thanks!

It would show up as an open, I just never had good luck with that tool. If it works for you then it would be a great place to use it!

Yeah we installed a new trans never mind the lifter issue.
Sounds like it will be needing an engine too.
So it didnt have any codes for that?
None! just for the gear ratio
Did you go to school for automotive tech?
No, I got into diagnostics from seeing a Fuel Trim video from @scannerdanner.

I wonder if the reason it didn't set a code was because it had 2.5v on the circuit since it was only a ground problem🤔
