It looks great. I think it’s wonderful that your daughter is interested and wants to learn about refinishing and reupholstering. She looks like a great helper/apprentice. 👍
Hi Cory! Such an amazing transformation. I love that your daughter is helping you and learning. She is so cute! Good for her. Hope you have a super nice week. 💕
Thank you so much for watching! I had some issues with the live chat during the premiere, so if you have any questions or wanna chat about the project I'll be here in the comments section for you :)
You're such a good human. I would love to know what inspired you to help this cause. Teaching our children compassion is one of the most wonderful gifts we can give them. Thank you both!
Thank you so much! Children are the future and deserve so much more than the lives they get in foster care. I feel deeply that they need "a villiage" to help raise them into strong, independent adults and this is a way I can help.
Another awesome piece 🥰 You should realize by now you Are A Professional !! The only way to become a "pro" at anything is to do it over and over, and to figure out how to get better at it and learn all the "do's and don'ts " Well you certainly have accomplished that!!! It's so heart felt knowing your daughter wants to follow in your footsteps ❤️ and what a special person it takes to want and follow through with helping others ⭐⭐ We all look forward to watching her channel in the future 🙂♥️⭐⭐💖💕💞
Hi Corey. Nice job with this tutorial. I am so smiling when I saw your 10 year old daughter helping. It's an invaluable skill where she will benefit greatly in the future. Girl power indeed. Great job on your piece. Have a great week sunshine. 🌞🥰
Your numbers are going up! That is so much fun to see! You turned that bench from frumpy to classy with some paint and fabric and hard work. Good job : )
Thank you!!! And yes I am steadily growing! Hoping so much that I can meet my goal. Its hard not to compare myself to others and wish I was as successful as they are, but at the end of the day...I'm me. My journey is exactly as it should be and I am appreciative of everything I have already.
@@DesertDIY You are right where you are supposed to be. Perhaps, if you were more "successful" you wouldn't be as focused on the young people and focused more on yourself. I think that the Lord is providing you with what you need and you are in turn helping others. God knows the future, we don't. He will give you the success that you can handle. Just look to Him and you will be blessed more than you know! I admire you very much! (especially that part where you don't get paint all over you!) : D
Good to see a lot of people getting interested in this, with your platform you can inspire a lot of people to get into working on things and not being scared.
You inspired me so much and I just managed to sell my first piece this week. It was an old small telephone table with pull out stool. I painted it grey and gold, and reupholstered the stool with a hare fabric (thank you so much for detailed instructions). I'm quite proud of myself even though I made only around £15 profit on it. Next in line is console table that I'm gonna paint yellow. Your bench turned out great!
That makes me so happy to hear! Once you figure out the best ways to get your supplies for cheaper and hopefully find some great deals, you will see that profit go up.
I loved it! And I think it's great that you're teaching your daughter a great skill. A skill that can sustain a lifestyle and make her successful! Great job today!
Super job, I would love a bench that size but my rooms might disagree with me! Well done getting your daughter involved, looks like she's already well past "lefty loosy, righty tighty" which is where I still am at 52! I really like that you use ends of cans and adapt curtains for seats and use a scrap of padding to cover the end, I'm guilty of just buying whatever I need but I do know I have all sorts of scraps which I do want to use, I just need to slow down, reflect and plan better 😃 happy Monday from sunny chilly Scotland x
Hi Rebecca! I am guilty of buying something instead of using what I have when my craft space is a mess and I can't find something! Trying to work on that haha
Very cool looking piece!! Great work on this Colby!! I appreciate You sharing Your fabulous skills here on youtube!! With Your help, I've done several pieces I've picked up for free that were set out for Trash!! It's amazing what people throw away!! Thank You!!
That makes me so happy to hear, Robert! And hey, it's Cory. I'm sure it's hard to hear me say my name when I talk fast. Thanks so much for watching and supporting my channel as much as you do!
Thank you for the beginner video. I ALMOST bought KITCHEN chairs to start with. 🙈 Thank goodness I started looking around and asked a couple of questions.
I wonder if making it into an outdoor piece if you could’ve sold it for more as people have more space outdoors ( I.e using a waterproof fabric of sorts) Absolutely beautiful outcome, love your videos.
That is beautiful..I need that iron..lol..My grandma raised me to even iron my curtains and bed sheets..🙈..I know I'm crazy..so my sister has told me.. anyways bench turned out amazing..and it never crossed my mind to use curtains for upholstery..😊
I am fixing to re do a headboard that I bought thrifted, for $10. Getting tips from you🤍 it has a fabric on on the middle part, and it has to come off. Thanks for the Tips🥰
Another super nice, and clever piece!! Good job, Cory! And it's nice your daughter is so interested too! I am definitely going to get one of those sprayers! ❤❤

Where's a good place to buy fabric that's not too expensive? I am going to have dining chairs to try to recover for the first time and I am nervous. You did great!
Someone should buy you an electronic drill and screw driver set for Christmas. You don’t want to end up with RSI or Dupytrens contracture. I use mine to completely remove the screws and then return them but only partially and hand tighten the last bit.
Thank you Genevieve. I have electric drills but they don't fit in some of the small holes that I find on some pieces and I didn't feel like searching for the extention adapter so I just did it by hand this time. Thanks for looking out for me!
@ Genevieve Mutray I had surgery on my right hand last summer for Dupuytren's contracture. I had never heard of it prior to my diagnosis. What a relief!!
