If you would like to learn more about how you can donate furniture to young adults aging out of foster care in your area, please reach out to your local foster care agencies and let them know what you'd like to do to help. Remember, they are understaffed and over worked so it may take some time to hear back, but don't give up. Thank you for having a giving heart!

What is your favorite decor style?
Eclectic
Scandinavian
Anything floral.
I like so many styles. I live in New England and I love the sea. I'm anything beachy/nautical but I'm also so far in-land that I love old colonial farm house. Wide planked floors, whites, neutrals, shiplap walls, post n beam, natural textiles. Whatever you want to call it. New England Coastal style.🦋
It’s easier for me to say what I don’t like! I don’t like farmhouse, distressed, or early American. There are others but they can be tweaked. I love when the paint is blended/shaded.
So loving of you to do this for these young people growing up and not having parents and losing their foster home and now they have a place we can call home and a place that they can walk into and feel good about. That also helps them feel good about themselves.
I love what you're doing and how you're helping people, you inspire others and that's a beautiful thing!
Thank you Lisa
Love your choice of the beautiful old hymn for the music!
Thank you Joan
Love "Leaning..." 🎶!
Did NOT expect the beautiful blue when you mixed the pink and teal together. Beautiful color!
Now it looks blue that's pretty
Super super. ❤️❤️☺️Slovakia.
Everything looks so great! What a wonderful cause to be a part of.
Hi Corey. Three lovely makeovers! I was thinking that it would be really fun to see the pieces in their new homes after they are delivered. Of course, I understand that the people who are receiving the pieces should have their privacy respected at the same time. I think that what you are doing is really cool and a great way to help young people get a fresh start. It is inspiring.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe it would be possible to team up with a RUclipsr who could do a make over of the youth's space using the pieces you made for them.
I wish I could!!!
The large cabinet would make an AMAZING pantry in a country kitchen or dining room❤️💙❤️💙
I love 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 the blue babinet and the stickers just made it even cuter! What a transformation 😊
EVERYTHING TURNED OUT AMAZING......
Thank you Elaine
I have never seen the technic you used on the lamp, it turned out great!! Ashley & Stephen of Henson Home Furnishings are awesome, I love watching their channel as well.
They are great! And thank you Stephanie
Love your choice of music!
Thanks Judy
Wonderful how paint can make it look beautiful 😊.
You had me going for a minute at first, for your yellow headband looked just like you had a halo. I had to take a second look to be sure. I love your updates on items and you are blessed but.......... be an angel and just keep doing what you do.
What a beautiful set, and i have been around for a long time and have seen many things, but this is a first for foam furniture. You still made a beauty out of it.
Haha who would've thought? Just when you think you have seen it all, then there's foam
@@DesertDIY that’s wild!
I've never seen it before either, I'm in Australia and I would have thought it a fire hazard, I'm so grateful for my solid wood furniture. Love your work and you wonderful ethic and caring ♥️
Hi sweet Cory! Oh how I love to see your beautiful face. I have learned so very much from you. Such an amazing idea to decoupage to create texture. As always, the pieces you redid are gorgeous. Your kindness is a treasure that travels much further than you could imagine. Hugs to you dear one! 💕
Thanks so much Beth. You're the best.

Omg 😳 that is foam ? It looks like 👍 wood ! Unbelievable!!! WOW 😳 that is so much better light blue than that busy ugly piece of furniture it looks so much better now after you have painted it !!! That is a great 👍 idea 💡 to mix them together and that way their is no paint waste !! The colors together are absolutely beautiful!!!
That blue is really pretty
Oh my gosh I have been at a loss for what to do with an old brass lamp!! You are a genius :) You know I love all your work!!
Thank you so much Jacqueline
Just beautiful! I love that color and Omgoodness that lamp! 💖💜💖
I look forward to seeing what you do to the chair that you glued together. I have a soft spot in my heart for old wooden chairs.
It will be paired with the other half of the desk I made when I split the dining table into two desks.
OH my goodness they all turned out wonderful
Thank you!
Wow they turn out awsome .
Lovely!
That's great looking foam now. All of your projects are great 👍
I love the lamp. It turned out so nice
That lamp turned out soo great
Love this color!
These all just turned out fabulous, especially the lamp, and you've given some serious inspiration for my own projects! Thank you!
The lamp came out beautiful!!💕🌹🌿🌸
Thank you Angie
Another great DIY! Keep up the great work! Rick and I really enjoyed meeting y’all and talk about how sweet your family is! 👏🏻🌵🤠😎👩🏼💻👍🏻😁👸🦸🏻♀️
Right back at you! Thank you so much!
NICE job‼️
My favorite style is French Country, Colonial, Shabby Chic, Modern Farmhouse, Garden, Coastal,‼️😂 I have a bit of all in my home...so I guess “Eclectic” I tie it altogether by using a similar color scheme.
You are very talented! Thank you for sharing this!
You are an amazing lady 💕
They all came out beautiful. Love it.
Thank you Mary
Fantastic as always Corey!...inspirational !!!!💕🇬🇧
I had no idea you could mix chalk paint with regular paint. Water based! Got it! Thank you for this tip! That's one reason I love your channel! I love that blue. It turned out so pretty!
You do amazing work Cory!
Me encanta todo, gracias.....
Brilliant 👏👏
OMG!!! I love what you did with the lamp... My style is Modern Farmhouse
Super cute flips!!
Lovely as always...I couldn't see the finished pieces, lamp and furniture, in all their glory , though...would have liked to get a proper look at them
so cute and creative.
Thank you Kimberly
Just, amazing job 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thank you!
Great job!!! So beautiful!
I am amazed that you don't use primer on the pieces you paint. I have not watched all the vids on your channel yet, but I have seen you paint some of them without primer. I am not a furniture painter but I love watching all the artists that make all this beautiful old furniture into "new" and useful pieces. I love antiques. You do beautiful work.
Thank you Ann! Sometimes you don't need a primer. I like to gamble and not use primer and then if bleed through happens I just spray with shellac on those spots and touch up those spots
I love the color you mixed! It certainly changed the dowdy look of that dresser. The liming wax was a great addition.
Thank you Dainna
You do amazing work.
Love your background music.
I absolutely love the lamp. I'm laughing because it is 100% not my style!
I love when that happens! Sometimes we surprise ourselves, huh?
Love your background music!! And your crafts!
Thank you Deborah
You amazed me with the color you sprayed on froshe
Furniture
It all turned out really nice loved it
Thank you!
Nice!!!🙂
As always, AMAZING JOB 😍😍😍😍
Thank you!
The mixed color came out nice.👍🏻 Glad to see florals and frills coming back. That was nice of you to include the extra decor. 🙂
You are so smart and creative. I love how the dresser came out. I wish I knew to add hot water to old paint. And lastly, I need a paint sprayer now.
Haha thank you Jennifer
Love what you did with these pieces! Thank you so much for the little shoutout. That was very sweet of you! 💕
Thank you so much for sending me the goodies to use!
@@DesertDIY You are so welcome!
I just love watching you do your magic. All of the items turned out very nice. I have a brass lamp that I purchased for $5. Hopefully I can get my sister to help me do something with it🙂. She is the crafty one 😂. Thanks for sharing ❤️.
That will be a fun sister project
You are my favorite diy-er! Love you and all you’re videos!
Wow that is a HUGE compliment thank you so much!!!
Turned out great. I love the blue. And I would like to try your trick with the lamp. Thank you for the tip.
Thank you Leah. You will love that technique. It's so relaxing to do
Love the lamp. I will have to try that technique ❤️❤️❤️
It is a very relaxing craft
Awesome how you are using up the different paint colors Cory. Love that type of blue. Very calming indeed. Have a great week sunshine. I also Hope you have been selling pieces of your work as well. 🌞💚
Every once in a while I will sell a piece if it doesn't work for donating or to help make up for costs.
I have never seen anyone spray paint over handles! The colour is lovely, but I’m interested in how durable the paint handles would be
Hi Corey, love your yellow halo headband 😇 beautiful duck egg / Tiffany blue, well done, experimenting with left over colours is the best part. Thank you for the drill head brush bits too, that looks really useful. Love what you do, so inspiring and for such a good cause. Happy Monday from sunny Glasgow 🌞 x
Thank you Rebecca
Your a wonderful person! Looked like you had a Halo for this video.. perfect!!
Totally understand why you used all the clamps on the chair, but it still cracked me up to see so many at one time.
Haha yes. It becomes a Frankenstein chair
The outside of the cabinet looks so nice maybe you should have painted the inside
Really love what you did!
Thank you Linda
Nice work
Thank you Corey
This is a beautiful and honorable project. Just perfect and lovely. Also love and appreciate your music choices 💕
Thank you for sharing and Blessings to you and yours 🙏💞
You're so talented!
Awww thanks steph
I REALLY like how that lamp turned out! Its shade was perfect for her decor choice! Very nice job on all!
You are quite a mixologist! That paint color came out gorgeous.. The floral stickers and gilding added a fun touch to the piece.
Don't you just love the Henson's??
Thank you! And yes they are wonderful
I really love the work you do in every project. Each piece comes out beautifully. I would've been nicer though if you could've shown all the pieces together. It helps to see the finished product. Can't wait for your next video. Thank you for sharing.
Those turned out beautiful! Especially loved the lamp transformation😍
Sorry, i missed your love, Cory. I really loved seeing these projects develop, especially your treatment of the brass lamp. I have one, and was stumped as to how to paint it. Thanks so much for bringing us along on your journey. ❤️
No need to apologize, Kathy. Thanks so much for watching!!!
Looks soooo good!
Im so glad you liked it. Thank you so much Lynn. Im going to buy a new work table with my giftcard by the way!
@@DesertDIY ohhhh that's so exciting! I wish we lived closer because I've got so many things you could redo! One day I will share some pictures!
If only
What you did with the lamp, it's gorgeous! Mod Podge and tissue paper on brass, who knew!? Love your custom color too, great job! ❤
The stickers and paint over the knobs little dresser was a disaster...but Corie you more than make up for that one piece with all of the other fabulous furniture (and house) refurbishing & upcycling you do. It's amazing the amount of interesting pieces you come across, thank you for sharing your talents with us : ) ps My favorite decor style isn't Cottagecore, it seems like the "re-do" isn't giving the pieces any dignity, (kind of a wham-bam, you're done, next!)
What kind of wax did you use on the dresser? Love all your projects and love that you are helping foster kids aging out of foster care. I work for CASA, so work with kids in the foster care system!❤️ God bless you!
Very nice👏👏 I couldn’t believe you transformed that yellow tone dresser, love the blue🤗❤️
Thank you Nolvia
Hi, I love what you do for young adults transitioning out of foster care, it’s such a brilliant cause. I’d love to know how you became involved in this project and how you came across it. I don’t know if we have similar causes in the UK?
I just contacted foster care agencies in my area until one of them responded to me. I am sure that you could go through a similar route. I doubt there are any programs in place for furniture like I am doing.
Love it all, so pretty. Your so good at all of that!
Thank you!
Love ur creativity with bold colors. Everything u do turns out terrific.
Thank you so much!
Your projects turned out great. I was a little curios that you painted the hardware the same color. Is that a feature of cottage core? Loved the music!
I didn't want to chance breaking the foam doors and I've always wanted to try painting everything all one color
Foam? Wow, I’ve never heard of foam that looks like wood before. That’s really weird. The blue colour really turned out pretty.
Hey, I was going to say that! 🤣 Seriously, I’m old...never seen that in my life.
Really enjoyed the violin music too! Nice change from the usual RUclips soundtracks 😊
Loved the projects! You are amazing
Thank you so much Angelica im so glad you liked them
Questions? With your paint sprayer ...1) do you dilute the paint or add anything like paint thinner to it? 2) what's on the other end? An air compressor? If so how big?
Yes I dilute with 1 or 2 table spoons of hot water until the paint is the consistency of milk. I use a 20 gal air compressor
@@DesertDIY have you used that paint sprayer with oil/alkyd paint or only with acrylics?
No, they are too hard to clean
Now I know that was a blue and you done a whitewash to biting it but it looks gray to me
👍😇
Beautiful. But I don’t understand why you don’t remove the doors, drawers and hardware for repair and painting then reassemble toward the end. Even if I am painting hardware I remove them and paint them separately. Then reinstall. It just gives a better finished look in the projects I’ve done.
The doors were made of foam and i was afraid it was going to continue to fall apart if it messed with any of the hardware. I also wanted to try the painted over hardware look that I've seen others do.
The hack you used for changing the lamp with tissue paper was cool. Will that work on a porcelain lamp that’s cracking? Do you have a porcelain lamp based?
it should work on any surface :)
Hi! I am hoping for some help! I recently started using a sprayer for my paint and my overspray went onto my neighbors car!!!! 😪🤮 Have you ever had to remove a water based paint overspray??
Also great job!! I love the tissue paper technique to add texture! You are so great to watch! I am always inspired!
Oh no! I did this to my own car once. We hired someone to buff the car and it came off.
