Great video!! Your kids are so cute!! I would love to see smaller thrift flips. Contractors are such a pain when they don't show up. We called 4 different concrete companies too redo our driveway before one showed up. 2 different gutter companies before we got the work done!
We have had SO MANY people say they'd do a job & either not show or start & not finish! I thought it was us or our house or something. It was honestly so reassuring to know we aren't alone in this phenomenon! ❤
I have to say, this is my very favorite video so far!! I think you're amazing, love all your flips .. this one was just so special, your son with the tape measure was priceless! Then Piper stole the show at the end! Lol..thank you for sharing ..And unfortunately, these days so many people just don't have the work ethic most of us have/expect.. they wake up and say to heck with it.. and blow off every commitment they made.. so sorry that happened..although I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason.. and he probably would have done a half-azzed job, which would have been worse.. and like you said.. the guy that did the job, that it all worked out for the best! Have a wonderful day, and you guys are doing a fantastic job.. seeing your whole family working together ❤ is so heart warming!
Thank you Angela! And you are definitely right. The man who ended up coming for the job was so pleasant and wonderful. He was 72 years old and worked like a horse and had the best attitude.
Love your new intro. Enjoyed watching your kids “help” put the bed together 😁. Everything is coming together nicely. I enjoy your videos so whether it’s furniture flips or smaller pieces, I’ll be watching. 🤓
I live in Hungary, skilled workers have all moved to Western Europe in the last 30 years (and especially since the borders and employment in the EU have been free). Only those left here I can’t pay and don’t do their job normally, or who I can pay and do it the same way. Haha. That’s why my husband and I are renovating our apartment from scratch ourselves from RUclips videos, with medium dexterity, but with a lot of patience and tremendous perseverance. I also learn a lot from your channel. Thank you! Love the new intro, too. :)
Yes! Small thrift flips would be awesome. My thrift stores very rarely have big furniture pieces so I'd love some ideas for smaller projects. Love your channel!
I love seeing what’s going on with your children’s room. It’s so pleasant to see how your family works together the little ones right there in the way loved and tolerated.
I used to lay carpet with my dad...hard work! He was a hard worker and very meticulous. I am so thankful he taught me to work hard and to take pride in my work!
@@DesertDIY I do too and Piper is adorable! Your daughters are beautiful like their mama and baby boy with the tape measure just melted me lol! I’ll watch EVERYTHING you do😄. God bless y’all 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Piper (I hope I heard you correctly) is a beautiful dog! Glad to see Piper is a talker, too! My dogs drive me crazy with help from my two toddling grandchildren! None of them shut up.
Haha yes I know how that is. My house is never quiet. It's the sound of happiness, I wouldn't have it any other way. Glad you have a good dog and good family
Oh, don't get me started on contractor nightmares!!! I've learned to do LOTS of projects myself. And when a contractor does a good job, I make sure I let them know.
I like little things and larger ones in between maybe? Small thrifts etc would be what I would do. Not really at a place to do room makeovers, but others may be. I enjoy whatever you do a lot.
I love watching your kids working with you. Your son is so cute trying to use the tools! The room is coming together so nicely. You’re doing a great job.
Love the new intro!! We live in a small town in the middle of nowhere and trying to find a handyman is ridiculous!!!! We are both disabled and cant do the work ourselves anymore...frustrating doesn't even come close to how we feel about this!!!! I feel your pain!!
Loved Piper fussing at you! She is quite the Diva with her pink and blinged out collar. Can't wait to see the reveal and I do like seeing "smalls" repaired and repurposed. Hoping you get to 100K real soon! Jo
LOVE ❤️ those cedarwood closets, such a rich wood and so clever. If the barn doors are being difficult maybe a curtain instead? So sweet to see the whole family helping and enjoying the process. Your little man is growing up super quick!
Awe,... this was great ! Your little man is ready to rock -n- roll with contractor work! He has the measuring down perfect 💙💙 So cute ! Yup... had a contractor start the job...tore my kitchen out and left for 6 MONTHS ! 🤦♀️ UGH !!!!!! Our kitchen is 24 x 20 and it was gutted down to studs and piles of shiplap all over ......LOVELY! I’m still alive.... My Dad was a contractor his whole life..never ..NEVER ...did he do that to someone ..did not matter the size of the job! If he said he was coming ...he went ...PERIOD. Yes... love all your videos...you make it...I’ll watch it 😁. Love the dog ending.... ❤️. LOL!!!!
Jayne I'm so sorry that happened to you!!! I can't even imagine. And yes people these days have zero integrity. It's such a shame. They should be embarrassed
😂, oh my goodness, your dog just gave me my laugh for the day! My dog 'back talks' me when I correct her. I wonder if it's their breed, because my dog is similar. Your girls are going to feel like princesses in their new room. So nice! 🙂👍
Beautiful job!! When your dog barked at you my dog, Murphy, got all worried as if he had understood what was “said”. I told him that his/her ball was lost. He jumped up and brought me his ball. I don’t think he really wanted to share, but he and I both got a little exercise.
Oh my gosh I think we have all experienced the no show up !!!! So stinking frustrating ! I’m in customer service I just don’t understand how people get away with it I know I can’t we’re I work. Hi, I'm really enjoy your videos and se your young family working together. Thank you for sharing this moments with you. I think you're a wonderful person. ❤
Corey, what a charming video! I feel like I got a special glimpse into your life and the lives of your beautiful children. It's obvious they are gonna be handy like their mom. I love the idea of small thrifts. I live in apartment that leaves little room for the big pieces. I do enjoy watching you do them though.
1.Love speedy painting cause I hate painting 2. Would love to see smaller projects too 3. Sometimes it’s hard to hear you 4. Your kids are so cute! Love to see them learning! 5. Thanks for the link to the floor cleaner!!!
Always enjoy your videos no matter what, and happy to see whatever you show us. Your hard work is looking good, and your family are all cuties. Looking forward to the next video. 😊 xxx
Your kids are adorable, as is the dog. I found curtains I liked for my daughter's room makeover but they had rod pockets. I ordered grommets and transformed them into the type you used. Once I hemmed to the desired length, I had material to make throw pillows, too!
Love the intro!!! Clearly, your lil' guy has studied his daddy at work. Yes, getting smaller jobs done is very difficult. People don't show, don't call, etc. You aren't alone. The room is coming along nicely!!👍
I love your refurbish projects...big or small. Your daughters room is beautiful. I am so excited to thrift again now that our whole family is fully vaccinated; most of our local thrifts remained open. As for your contractor struggles; it's real and happens here in Georgia a lot. My husband does carpet repair and hears stories from customers all the time. It's so rude.
I am loving what you have done so far! I can't wait to see the final reveal! I would love to see your small thrift flips. I really enjoyed this video; so much variety!
Wow you have so much going on but it's looking good and it will look amazing once it's done, your little boy was son cute with the measure tape, and yes definitely would like to see smaller flips too but still love your bigger stuff , the dining table is so nice, the finish is absolutely gorgeous ,thanks for sharing look forwards to seeing the end result take care all the best Mary in Australia 🌻
Love your new intro. I thought it was different but I can’t trust my memory these days. I’ve had the same problem here in St Louis. I wanted a half bath put in our home and because the job wasn’t big enough for them to come and bid it, it took me 3-4 months to find someone to do the job. I love to see thrift flips of any size.
I had the same problem with a company before too. They lied and said they don't service my area just so that they wouldn't have to come bid the job. Thanks for watching!!!
I love the intro and the pups exit speech as well! Your home is going to be beautiful and I imagine the girls are excited to move into their new room with brand new beds! Your little guy reminds me of my sons when they were that age. They loved tools from the first time they got their hands on them! He is a cutie! The girls too, but I don't really understand girl energy! LOL
Oh yes..contractors..so much fun...and I’ve cancelled deliveries with major companies when their delivery men didn’t show up...I think I’m the queen of “I need to speak to your supervisor “...also learned to do a lot on my own...I feel your misery 😜
You do such a beautiful job on your furniture flips, I would love to see some of your small flips as well. Your family is beautiful, and the Reno is coming along just great. Thanks for sharing your videos! ❤️
Hi sweet Cory! This was such a fun video. Oh goodness, everything is coming together beautifully. You are incredibly talented with decor, but no surprise there. I love every video you make, and am thankful for every one of them. So of course, anything new you want to do is great by me. I enjoy seeing your family helping. Such a sweet, happy family. I think fewer people are getting into the tradesperson field, and the older ones are retiring, at least around here. It tends to make it harder to find someone, especially if it’s not a big job. I’ve always wished the public schools would provide more opportunity for students to learn a valuable trade, or even apprenticing. Not every student goes to college, and as we are seeing here lately, college does not always pan out to be a good decision, given the costs and the loans. Oh well, just some of my thoughts these days...sorry for rambling. My dad passed at 89 in March. He and I used to talk and talk and say, if we were in charge, we could fix the world. Lol. I miss him so much. He was larger than life to me. I keep you in my thoughts about your grandma, and send love your way often. Thank you so much Cory, for your channel. It has been wonderful to get to know you dear one. 🌸🐝
Aww thank you Beth. You made me tear up a little. I am sorry about your loss. Your dad sounds great. I tell my kids all the time that they don't have to go to college. Trades are a great choice! Or making their own business or whatever they want to do to earn an honest livinf
Great new intro and renos! Your daughters are beautiful and that little man with his tools is just too! CuteI don’t know about tradesmen not showing up, but my hubby is a production manager and has no shows for interviews, no show new hires, no calls and just not showing up for work! It has to be so frustrating for you! I’d love to see thrift flips too!
Honestly, the no call no show never happened to us until we moved to Arizona! And I too have had it happen SO MANY times! It’s more than frustrating! I’m so sorry you have it happen to you too.
The new intro is great and I love the desk area. If you don't mind a little decorating tip...don't use those short curtains. Curtains should be hung as close to the ceiling as possible and either just touch or puddle on the floor. They should be at least 3" preferably 6" out from the window on either side. This gives the appearance of having a larger window, which makes the room appear larger and just looks better altogether. If you follow these curtain hanging tips throughout your whole house, you will be amazed at how much better your space looks.
I guess the short curtains will be perfect then. I love a cozy window seat, especially in a little girls room. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I've been in the process of remodeling our house that we bought in September. I totally feel your pain when it comes to trying to find anybody to do work. We went through 3 contractors just to have our popcorn ceilings removed & all the walls & ceilings painted. It was a nightmare. My kitchen is still half finished. It has been almost 6 months and I haven't found anyone decent to do my floors & backsplash. I think my husband & I are just going to do it ourselves. I really wanted it done professionally but like you said...it is almost impossible to find someone to do work right now. Have fun with the rest of your remodel!
You asked if we'd be interested in watching you do smaller flips as well. Count me in and home reno projects work for me too. I quite enjoy your content. :)
What do you think of my new little intro?
I like it! Really appreciate your channel Corey. You are like me in that you do everything.
Thanks so much Leah! It's always a good thing to be able to depend on yourself

Love what your doing....
Thank you Nellie
So lovely
You asked if we'd be interested in watching you do smaller flips as well. Count me in and home reno projects work for me too. I quite enjoy your content. :)
Thank you Sonya
