Good Lord, after watching this video and Part 1 I can say that I have never seen more perfect instructional videos. No long-winded yapping. No taking forever to get to the point. Just a quick explanation and then the demonstration. You guys are truly gifted teachers - and video editors. Thanks for taking the time to educate us.
I did all of these to my 1990. Just with a better lookin grille and hand built everything else. Both roll pan bumpers, hood, shaved tailgate and moved it into the inside. All at home, all by hand. Eventually got around to the rest of the body work and new paint job. It was my first vehicle and I miss it. I sold it a couple weeks ago for pretty nice amount. For anyone possibly curious, it was a 5.7L 350 v8.
That was great fellas, I have a 95 Silverado extended cab same blue and silver dolor scheme, my every day work truck and that will def help me out...Thanks guys...
Helpful tip, use E-clips at the end of the plastic rod clips. For the door handles and the tailgate. I used one on my OBS Tahoe limited, which the driver side door inside handle rod would slip out of the old plastic clips.
Grill; 130.00 - Bumper 100.00 - Head Lights 130.00 - Park lights 40.00 = 400.00 - lets say 475 with shipping. Oh, and the hardware kit is 11.00 for defector, and 10.00 for bumper. It's not that expensive, but agree.. hardware is cheap so why not include it.
@@hawkdsl i think i remember watching past episodes of all the shows is that they all are stock with all kinds of hardware and fasteners, i think the company is called Industrial Depot, so i would guess they just used new hardware all around, but i could be wrong

they should interchange cus the same basic design didnt change from 1988-1998, almost like the 73-87 square bodies that never really changed much other than headlights and grilles
I wish I could find a set aftermarket reflective headlights for my 01 Sonoma, because the ones in the video are really nice, also there would be no need for a set of super bright LED or HID bulbs to see the road at night.
DuratrashLML Those parts are actually from the 454SS or the 2000 Tahoe Limited if you want to search out OEM parts. You’re right tho, those after market repop parts usually suck.

This is how I would’ve built this truck if I were in high school. Now days, cleaned up and OEM is the way to treat these OBS trucks.
Erix7810 you must live under a rock... look up street take overs...
@@mikekoksmal5053 all it is now staggered wheels with a deepdish in the back/swirl designed wheels, blacked out paint job...on a v6 truck🤦♂️
You dam right
The OBS Chevy/GMC is in the sweet spot right now as far as trucks and SUV's that you can pick up cheap. Good starting point for a build.
i like how he quietly and quickly says a couple hundred hours of blocking lmao
A black anodized Chevy emblem would be even better. Subtle with a capital B.
Not that shit is overuse
Also should have used the clear markers and not the yellow ones..

I’ve watched this 20xs love this truck, have one of its twins in the drive wish video was longer
gotta love the 93 grille though
I have the exact same 92 silverado. Did the same front end. Love it! Nice job boys.
What year front end is the new one

WHAT ABOUT REPLACING THE DOOR HINGES🤔

The heat-wrap air-gap is designed to disallow conductive heat transfer from the exhaust component to the wrap. Not Heat Dissipation.
You guys gonna fix whatever fell from behing the front valence when the new hood was slammed shut?
I absolutely love this build! Great job fellas!
Spend 3000.00 on a new bumper ,grill and head lights then use a bunch of 9 cent rusty fasteners!
soak them in phosphoric acid 15 min first at least.

I have a 90 model that did not have a grill. Now that I have a grill where do I get the screws/ fasteners to mount the grill on the truck?
I have a 92 Chevy Silverado and I got a grill just like that. Would I need 94 and up front bumper brackets for the grill and filler to fit ?
I have a 1996 GMC Sierra short bed step side. How much would custom body work like this cost me. Like the whole truck What they’re doin

outstanding!!!
Im doing my truck as well but im confused about face bar or bumper which one should I get and whats the difference

Does the interior swap out woth newer models just as easy alwasy wondered
Would be nice to see work on an old ford ranger truck on here
The front end is great not missing anything
5 seconds late
The emblem is missing.
Hola exelente ,que producto aplica en el metal expuesto del toldo ?
Loctite extend rust neutralizer
Anybody knows the spray can he used to prevent rust?
DO IT COME IN WHITE TO MATCH MY 1999 SUBURBAN?????🤔🤔🤔 IN FACT I NEED BLACK GRILL AND WHITE BUMPER AND LOWER WIND GUARD
Not sure how you upgraded that grill without putting 1994 and up bumper mounts and bumper fillers
any idea where i can get the panel that goes under the back window, mine is blue, can't find it, great video as always
I like the side mirrors.
What model and year did they come from?
So wait all in the same video you show us how to remove grill install new lights change tailgate handle from outside to inside and suggest if we cant adjust the headlights to go see an expert 🤔
have you guys tried those new diablo sanding pads that can be washed and be reused.
Leave it the same color
Personally I woulda put tinted headlights
Hey guys I watch your video I would like to know what size rims and tires you guys put on that Chevy 1500 truck
Nice
Are those headlights reused with stock bulbs or can they be fitted with LED's? Or is that a completely different setup?
Could do either, just would need an led conversion kit to go to leds
If you put a couple hundred hours of blocking into that truck, you don't know what you are doing.
Maybe it just felt like a few 100 hours.
it’s sarcasm, dude. Duh haha
Nah
To be fair I think they’re giving a timeline for people who don’t know how to wipe their ass 😂
Designed for newer trucks. There 454ss mirrors
That front would have looked better with the factory headlight and park lights cleaned and polished up instead of the Ebay looking lights....
DuratrashLML yeah I agree, those lights have always looked Chinese even back when I was in high school.
you know stock black rims do the trick to,& the money save can be use elsewhere.

How do you reinstall the tailgate rods if needed again?
If you were paying attention to the video it's screwed in so you can get access to the rods

So all i would have to do to make a 94 grille fit on my 91, is change the corner reflectors?
they should interchange cus the same basic design didnt change from 1988-1998, almost like the 73-87 square bodies that never really changed much other than headlights and grilles
What is that grille called in the LMC catalogue?
LMC TRUCK:94-98 repro black, just ordered everything from this video of the front end lol
Can some on send me the link for the lock tight extend that they used
Just google it, or go to your local hardware store/auto parts store and they should have it or be able to order it for you.
wonder how much impact those bumpers can take and no place for a hitch or a winch.. guess they would add too much weight
I wish I could find a set aftermarket reflective headlights for my 01 Sonoma, because the ones in the video are really nice, also there would be no need for a set of super bright LED or HID bulbs to see the road at night.
Evil Fingers Go on eBay and search 2001 gmc Sonoma headlights. There is a bunch and they aren’t expensive.
Maybe no need for led lights where you live but if you live in the sticks with limited or no street lights you may. So your opinion is invalid
@@TheMotorman80 I recently checked ebay, no luck.

Tyler Parker nah the bumper and grill are like 100 bucks a piece, headlights are cheap. Everything on these trucks are pretty cheap.
Where’s episode 9 and 10
I don’t like those aftermarket grills, the mounding doesn’t go all the way around the bowtie, that always bothered me🤷🏻♂️

I hate it, I bought one on eBay and since it doesn’t wrap around the bow tie, it allowed water into the $140 emblem I had just bought.
