What’s the price tag on a older truck in that condition nowadays?
Do y'all keep or sell the vehicles instead of destroying them like other shows.
@@fl_atv_riders4455 they sell them off to help their budget.
I think it looks pretty dang good just the way it is just - a little bit of lighting and maybe a roll bar and KC lights in a skid plate
17:47 he says he can't see nothing 🤣 I can see him just fine through the windshield so he can see just fine 🤣 .
70's-90s K5's,Jimmys, ramchargers and broncos are the dopest
THOSE ARE THE GAYEST RIMS YALL COULD HAVE EVER PICKED FOR THAT BEAUTIFUL CHEVY!!
Carl Berner they messed up with the monster aka pure stock 4l80e
@@jeffreyelliott8912 yeah, another dumb decision.
@@jeffreyelliott8912 they haven't been doing it as long as us were the best at building these
Such great knowledge and craftsmanship paired with THE worst taste 😂 it’s honestly such a trope with shows like this they; cater mostly to the dying boomers who can afford to waste their money on tasteless ventures - can’t take it with you! Best buy an orange corvette! (ex.)
Incredible, blew my mind how that truck got through that mud hole even after it cut out twice, now that right there is a true go anywhere vehicle
Should’ve called this episode how to destroy a 89 k5 taking it off road wasn’t the bad part it looked better in stock form
The most fun I have ever had was in the mud with my friends . Good luck Jeremy
While I share the sentiments of most commenters about the wheel choice for the K5, I will say that they drove that thing hard (even with the nice paint) and that supercharged big block is badass. Respect.
Ngl I preferred how the blazer looked like before stylewise
Looked like shit before and after
TRD_SR5 go back to ford, junkie.
@@bbhunter2220 why are you so salty yota boy
@@bbhunter2220 dude you drive a garbage tundra..now go get my groceries, boy.
Thanks for hosting Jeremy, appreciate the knowledge. Have fun with the shop!
My first ride was an '87 Silverado in the late 90's. and my Dad had a mint '89 Blazer a few years ago.
Loved that thing but started having significant issues and as a 17 year old did not have the funds or skill to fix.
Many great trips to the woods.
My dad had 3 different k5 blazers and jimmies over the years lol
2:40 this is where a rag and a magnet comes in handy to help find bondo.
A clever trick
Those credit card sized magnets like Rockauto sends out work great too.
RL RL yes they do.
That was Awesome 👍💯, it's been great having you on the show brother, were going to miss you man, best wishes for the future 💯💪👍😀😀😀
When you're building yours on a budget, then see everything you want done in just a few minutes 🤣😫
I have a '97 Sierra K1500, my baby,... can't wait to watch this series PowerNation!
That is the cleanest OBS on the face of the planet. Pure and unmolested.
Should've left the 89 front end on it instead of the Griswold special
Jeff M should’ve drove it off a cliff
TRD sucks
This was one of the best builds and test drives!!!
Nothing better than a muddy K5.
Those Old K5's Will Blast Through Just About Anything!!!
That's so awesome PN u guys rock what the people wanna see. At least I do love k5s I have an 83 k5 an do the same they are bulletproof....
2:58 My truck fails all of these tests he did but i still love my chevy! 🤣🤣🤣
It’s sad to see you leave the show. Good luck at your shop.
im 16 and i love the sound of my 1983 chevrolet scottsdale especially when at a stop light
I recently bought my first pickup which is a 97 gmc k1500 with the 350 vortex. It has a 6” lift and 35” tires and it is a beast that I enjoy to drive
this is one of the cleanest ck's ive ever seen.
Awesome job I have a 84 K5 Blazer is motivated me to build mine
@5:48 he even has the open beer in the cup holder, super authentic
Wow they both are very badass rigs! Nice!
I loved the last scene in the mud pit just like driving his white Dodge Charger out after being buried alive in the movie "Lone wolf Mcquiad"
Love the sound of that blazer.
I am in the process of rebuilding a 1977 K5 similar to this. It is currently completely disassembled with the body about to be removed from the frame. Main differences will be a Dana 60 up front, disc brakes in rear on the 14 bolt and a Dart 496 CID engine with a Holly EFI setup and no super charger.
Cant wait to see the obs build! 👍
Need to trade them chrome spinny boys out for some real wheels and tires
nicholas turney need to scrap the whole thing
your lil sr5 could never beat it....
Not every one likes boring black wheels
@@LamontBoucherville they don't have to be black but big chrome wheels bring nothing to the table when you actually run off road
True dat but who cares when you getter muddy
The best episode hands down
I like the before K5 a lot more than the after. Those wheels ruin a good looking vehicle.
Miss my 89 Silverado a lot. Another one I should have kept.
Fair winds and following seas to all.
Great episode's love watching 👍
Most epic episode yet!
They have wipers but keep saying "I can't see".
This is a legendary truck. K5.
Damn I'm in love!!! Definitely a beautiful and badass K5 Chevy especially with a procharged 454, that's a hard on with wheels LMAO.
Love that holley carb keeps flooding on ya ! Pos .. demon holley same same but I will say the truck did real well no doubt its badass
I hate to hear that Jeremy's leaving the show
Best of luck, to you, Jeremy
They can’t seem to keep hosts on these shows. I count 6 in the last 10 years just for this show, countless more when you count up the rest of the power nation shows.
They need a little more ‘hood and a little less suit to make these watchable.
@@CamaroAmx that's still ten years and the host have lives too
carguy 218 very few of them left under positive circumstances.
@@CamaroAmx like what name an example
That blue Blazer is a monster!
Nice job!
Great episode.
Will miss you , good luck there in Mississippi
That TBI is getting a new cam, intake, Vortec heads and a set of headers.
With some ECU upgrades my brother was able to get 300 wheel HP out of the 350TBI with just in expensive bolt ons and a tune.
Should’ve tested the red truck in that big hole, bet it would’ve made it though most of that.
Also on the 88 to 98s......the cab mounts rot.Out which also cause the doors to sag....been there done that....i had a 92 gmc Sierra ext cab 4x4 fully loaded....probably would still have it if the door didn't litterly. Fall off from rot... the truck was sooo rotted.i blew the reverse drum in the tranny n it was just took much to fix. I have now a 2004 gmc Sierra crew cab 4x4 that I had for almost 12 years. She's only got 106,316 on It. I had a ton of parts replaces over the years but she's a beast
Suhweeeeet truck love the setup
Why trailer the thing if you guys said it could be a daily driver ????
Wondering the same thing.
Uhh? Because they are about to beat the shit out of it? You probably don't have a hobby like racing or going off-road.
Or because it has no plates on it......
@Ucallit 71 lol true that. Lol but you would think tho that they spent thousands of dollars to build this rig and didn't think to register or insure it ?? Lol 😆😆😆
@Ucallit 71 good point 😃👍
Looks great 👍🏽💪🏾💪🏾
Such a awesome truck
That truck nailed it, sure thing
That Was Sweet 👏
I'm not a Chevy guy but I love the k5 blazers
This thing is clean
That Blazer Definitely Needs A Set of Boggers on It
I would leave the red truck alone an drive it
Most definitely✌✌
that would be an awesome video !!! Oh wait.........
I would blow it up with tannerite. Junk ass chevy
@@bbhunter2220 you could get nostalgia from them when they were new. They've always drove like junk
I loved my 96. I always wanted to put a trailing arm suspension in the rear, just to have the best front suspension GM had at the time and the best rear suspension they ever had.
Thing is a beast
wow that last part was bad ass...
I love that this in TN cause thats were i live
K5 BEAUTIFUL GM TRUCK!!!!!!❤
Super nice build, only issue is it has a carb.LS or LT1 LT4,the other problem I seen was when spraying the fiberglass top they didn't mask off were the window seals go that hold the glass in.@11:26
All the work on it to go mudding, could have been a show truck. If u want to build another square body, I'll volunteer mine , needs work . Just bought it this year but my job has me working 7 days a week with no time to do it right now. Did sound nice when you pressed the gas pedal down.
That ball joint test works better when its jacked up and the tires are off the ground but works either way
Gosh this is gonna suck not seein Jeremy on the show anymore he was great and I'm gonna miss him but there'll be another good co host on the show that'll do good and teach people new and helpful tricks gonna miss him though I've watched power nation since I was a baby and it's gonna be weird not having him around but hopefully he does good with his shop and makes some sweet trucks and or cars
Ohhhh like a ROCK!!!
Like a rock ! LOL.
STACEY DAVID did this years ago! Stacey David who was on TRUCKS, built Big Blaze. A Blazer like this but it was orange.
I loved my 1986 Dodge Ramcharger, didn't do anything with the little 318 2 barrel motor, but it had the torque to climb a tree. Got the same MPG around town or on the Freeway.
Same with my 96 Toyota 4runner. It got better gas mileage in the city lol
And my ford highboy. 7 miles per gallon loaded or empty 😭
Why get rid of coolest grill set up
Work on a 77ish Dodge I have and it's bullet proof
That's one nice k5
Didn’t know Jeremy was from MS! I’m from the Sipp myself!
Trucks. Cool. Dude
The crank case breather grommet is 180 degrees out!!!!!
My shafts a woody !!!!
I cried when they took the k5 mudding 😩😩
Passanger side been painted at some point, gave a nice pile of smoke screen.. still a nice truck
Should have followed the K5 with the short box to show how much better IFS and factory fuel injection work off road. That short box would have easily gone everywhere the K5 did , just with smaller tires , a smoother ride, and no stalling in the middle of the puddle....
IFS is good for baja but not as strong as a solid live axle. Dont talk out of your buttox
Yeah that what is a nice truck
I had this car at the garage. When you accelerate suddenly for the pedal to touch the ground, the engine don't pull much power and the sound is very little but when you accelerate gradually for the pedal to touch the ground then is runs normally with the require sound....can you please suggest what might be wrong with the car?
God I love red shortbox trucks
That's a nice driveshaft
Jeremy gave a lot of personality to this show and man he gets down he can do it all ..they SHOULD have given him a better send off than that they got the logo covering up half his face lol smh
For the red truck, twin turbo LS swapped slammed on an AWD set up would be pretty sweet!
JadXtreme Silverado/Trailblazer SS frame swap with twins would be cool. Id still like to see it with a similar stance as it already has
Got lucky k5 make it easy stuck but may not last with y’all driving damn
I would have put the AC back in these trucks are insanley hot with all that fiberglass roof in back, throw a vintage air unit in, best 1400 bucks ive ever spent, no more fogged up windows in winter
Both are lovely truks but I would always put a snorkel on
Beautiful, possibly the best I've ever scene. What paint code is that? (please!)
Run it HARD!
Eyes on the road!
I have identical 1994 that almost rust free, if u ever need another project I have a doner! 😉
A lot of why the Blazer rides so rough is the leaf spring front suspension.
Rides great! Like a truck is supposed to ride.
The wheel shake can also indicate a worm out wheel bearing
They took an 89 k5 with the nicest front grille setup and made it look like an 85-88 which makes no sense. And those rims are gross
Oh, build mine, build mine!
And years later only the square body is collected
The last of the real trucks
bradley younger yes, the original small block, solid front axle, decent automatic transmission, very long production run, massive aftermarket support. I’m a Ford fan but the square body rules!
