  • What you should focus on when you are moving on from a breakup with someone who made it impossible to stay together so you can get back to feeling good about yourself, your life and find someone better.
    In this video coaching newsletter, I discuss an email from a viewer who shares how my book has helped him to move on from a breakup that was not of his choosing. Over the past month he was depressed and upset over a budding new relationship that went sideways. He talks about how he went out one night with a “no fucks to give” type of attitude after he got tired of feeling sorry for himself. He met a woman who was actually on a meet up with a new guy that was not going well. The dude even bought him a drink. She wasn’t digging the new guy and took him outside. She asked him for his phone number and started making out with him right on the spot. She told him that he would not regret giving her his phone number. About an hour later she invited him over. He shares what he did and said to seduce her successfully. A few days later he ran into his ex and he details how this new woman really helped him get over her. The new woman is pursuing him and making things very easy and effortless for him.
    “Some relationships are simply not meant to work out. Despite your best efforts to save them, communicate and work things out, the other person may simply be unable or unwilling to make them work. Relationships are only possible when both people are committed to making them work. The reality is that everyone has flaws. No one is perfect. People who grew up in healthy families with loving parents who communicate like adults and who have a good relationship with both of their parents, often make the best teammates, spouses and partners. Rejection tends to breed obsession. It’s always helpful to remember that it’s not the actual person that we miss, but the fantasy of whom we thought they were. If you focus on what you can learn from loss and things that do not work out in life the way you expect, this will enable you to assign a positive empowering meaning and get the gift of the experience so you can become a better person going forward. Our struggles are meant to refine and improve us, not define who we are.” ~ Coach Corey Wayne

    If she leaves you, she is giving you space and time to think about whether she is worth your time. If you are in the right mindset you might find she racked up an impressive list of red flags you conveniently overlooked. When you figure out her leaving was actually a blessing and finally go about your own business, she will decide to come back. Then the tables will change as you show her the door. Then she will get annoyed because you rejected her and give you the stink look and avoid you. She wants what she can't have and develops a delusion that she loves you and secretly stalks you or your social media. This develops into an obsession as you pay her absolutely no mind driving her crazy. Then she tracks you down out of the blue someday and wants to talk. But you, now thinking she is nutso show her the door again. Now she is pissed and blocks, deletes, throws your stuff in the trash and thinks you are a piece of shit and never thinks about you again. Meanwhile, you don't give a toss about her whatsoever so none of this matters to you. This is my story. God bless.

    You are so right about men taking the time to feel the emotion, rather than pushing it aside. Suicide rates are higher for men, and i'm sure society telling people that men aren't allowed to feel is a major contributing factor. You can be an absolute alpha male, but that can't take away the fact that you're human. It's completely okay to be sad.

    I paint and refinish cars and I equate it to like women. You have to treat them all the same, almost as if you don't give a damn.
    When a beautiful new lexus or higher end car comes in the paint booth for repair, it freaks you out, you get nervous, you want to do everything perfect. Whereas the toyota tercel you just painted before with 200k miles on it came out perfect because your nerves were calm and you just didn't foam at the mouth when the job needed to be done.
    It's the same for women, we can't let them have us by the balls like that higher end car that needs repair. In the end they are just like the car having just four wheels and a steering wheel. These girls at the end of the day sit on the same shitter as we all do! Thanks again Corey!

      i love your comment bro i call it the witch effect some guys just get overwhelmed with looks that they place a high value on them and get under the spell and end up dump because their not in the same page, not be willing to say your real thoughts because you care too much about to their opinion and of course pursue too much. i love your concept bro i used treat goodlookin women better but that just sets you up to lose . so now im just not givin a fuck if you look ugly, beautiful or entimedating i just want to know what are you about and your intentions because i dont like to be fake. dont get me wrong i want a goodlookin girl with a good personality just let me be because my best work is done when im relaxed

      +efren salcedo exactly!! Totally agree. Honestly there is no problem going out with women that you are no potential with physically. It's a good way to improve your skills. These glamour girls are usually higher maintenance. I prefer someone around a 7-8. Little more down to earth.

    I do some bodybuilding, and I can attest to how powerful emotions can effect your body. (I write down the date, exercise done, weight, reps, even how the reps felt sometimes, ect.) When I'm depressed, I'm weak as hell even if food and rest were plentiful. When I got a little mad (more like motivated) and decided to stop feeling sorry for myself, I had some of the most awesome workouts ever!

    It always goes the same. Girl breaks up with me after 8 years and I honestly wasnt too happy with the relationship for a long while but when I got rejected boom I wanted her badly. Got in the shape of my life, got a sweet job, read books and did all kinds of things to become a better me. Got back with her, we fucked on the very first day we met again and things seemed well and here I am again 6 months later, back into the old pattern and rejected again even though I honestly believe that I'm the best option she got. It's odd that for the first 6 years of our relationship I just wasnt all in, like she was part of my life but really not the most important thing and she was so into me, even though I had very little time for her. Then I changed and told myself I need to marry this girl, she is so loyal and just generally nice. So I focus completely on her. In the end she loses her attraction to me and leaves me. Funny how that goes and kind of annoying that apparently its always one person who isnt so sure about it all. Just that she had the guts to end it all.

      Its actually funny how true that is. This girl loved me as long as I was trouble. She did her college degree while I was doing all kinds of shit that wouldn't get me forward. She never knew where I was or what I was doing really. She'd bitch about it and I wouldnt give a damn and she loved me. Eventually I "got my shit together" became the man she always wanted I thought. And she drops me. Its funny how that goes.

      *****
      yeah 8 years. Perhaps I'm an idiot but I thought I'd grow old with this woman. And I really just dont like the general attitude of today, everything is replaceable, everybody is just out for the next thrill, the next rush, always consuming. I have done that and it just leaves you feeling empty. Then again being with the same person for 8 years kind of does the same. lol. Damn that shit is just way too complicated.

    Man I find it really hard to find anything of meaning to myself or enjoy myself with after my almost 9 year relationship ended recently. I just feel depressed and lonely mostly. Yes I feel sorry for myself, I don't want to but it just comes in waves. I felt we had such an awesome thing going for so long but somehow we lost it. It's still hard to accept the reality of it. I still love her so much even though things were obviously less than perfect for a while, I don't think they were particularly bad either.
    Every day is a struggle right now. I don't really have a "passion" to focus on , I'm drinking too much and none of my old hobbies really interest me anymore. I know I need to make changes and I'm trying (I still try and exercise several times a week, eat reasonably healthily, go out with friends and stuff) but I'm just sort of existing and it's hard to even get out of bed in the morning. I think if I could cut out the drinking it would be make a difference but I've had to face to fact that I'm addicted to it. It dulls my pain in the short term, but of course I know it's only hurting me in the long run. I'm having to face the fact that I've been dulling some form of anxiety with drinking daily for about 20 years already. I just hope at some point in the future I'll look back on this time and be able to say: "that was tough but I'm happier now". It's gonna be a long road to get there though.

      thewizboy yeah it is the game to make a baby. when the baby is made it is done. but treu love is love for yourself the other and that baby. and the adult person takes charge and takes responsibility for those people. the child takes no responsibility and will be the one that needs love and can't yet give love. so be the adult for yourself and for others so they can be the kid or the adult. it doesn't matter witch of the two they choose because you are the caring loving adult for al three of them.

    Theres still something missing after you move on. Its the chance to talk to them and let them see how successful you were after they left....*warning: long post
    I was in love for 3 years and i was going to school the whole time. I was getting paid peanuts. I had no money, no nothing. She was pressuring me for marriage and id say "soon dont worry" every time to calm her down. Well, i found out i wasnt gonna graduate when i thought i would and she dumped my ass. She wanted marriage more than she wanted me. She said "your time is up".
    So she was gone and i finished the semester and met my now fiancee during that semester. Graduated college and got my dream job within a week of graduation. Suddenly i went from bring home pay of a $100 a week to $800 a week. I bought a nice truck, got rid of my shitty dirty car i had. Then i got a big promotion and on the same day i propsed to my fiancee. A few weeks later we find out we're having a baby. We just bought a beautiful home in the country and we're remodeling a room now for a nursery.
    Yesterday, my mom blurted my exes name and i was cool with it. But then i woke up to a nightmare of her being married to someone else and i woke up panicky. I felt bothered. I felt like something isnt right.
    Its not that i want her back, its that i want to see the look on her face to find out that less than 2 years after our breakup, i live with a wife and our baby. I want her to see how stupid she was. How impatient she was. I want her to see that im not a poor college boy anymore. That it was a temporary situation. Its hard for her to see this because i dont use social media to show anything about my life and my accounts are private.
    But maybe shes kicking ass too. Maybe shes married with kids now and maybe she thinks im still broke driving a shitty car while she replaced me with someone better. I just want to make her feel at a loss at what she missed out on.

      She probably doesn’t give you a second thought. The fact that you STILL want to rub it in her face means she won and is still winning. You are NOT 100% over her, no matter how much you tell yourself that you are. You have to figure that shit out, man. YOU deserve to be happy that she left you.

    I think part of the problem that happens in situations like these is the realization that you could have made things work with the ex if you knew then what you know now. That's why when he sees his ex he kind of wants to talk to her and sort of show her that he is different now. Just my 2 cents, I could be wrong.

I assure you, it will get better in time but there's a need for you to undergo the process for you to heal well. Later on full acceptance will come, then the real moving on. You did the right thing for letting him go..you all have yourself to focus on. It will also help to talk about this to someone you trust..someone who will just listen. You can also talk to yourself as if you are that someone who is telling you to forget about him, etc. It helps!

      I've had this happen to me before.
      I communicated with her and encouraged her to get some help (which she did).
      Try to leave her better than you found her (I suggested the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne).
      Seek counseling. My friend got some help when his wife wanted to put their new born son up for adoption.
      You never know what kind of help you can get unless you ask for it.
      Stay positive and be thankful for the small things you have in life.

    Great stuff, I just order the book via amazon today. However I'm what I feel like somewhat of a situation right now. I've been on two dates with a great girl . whom I met off bumble . after the 2nd date at the end of the night we kissed for at least 5 minutes. she texted me when she got home and also stated she had a great time . I replied I did too. yesterday passed and neither of us texted each other. during our date she said she had a wedding she had to go to on Saturday.( so I knew I couldn't make plans for a third date on Saturday in my head). well today (friday) as I was hanging out with my buddy he suggested that I text her to see what she was doing tonight. I knew it was a bad idea . But he kept saying , you gotta show you're interested in hanging with her . if not she'll just go on bumble and find someone else . well that being said , I texted her. "hey , any plans tonight?" she replied at 10 minutes later with " hey I'm hanging out with my sister and friend in the city " I replied " sounds fun , have a great time." and left it at that. my question is , when and if should I text her again ? I'm thinking Sunday around 8 asking her how was the wedding , then quickly setting up the 3rd date . or possibly texting on Monday. thoughts suggestions? thank you folks .

    Hi Coach, long time viewer, read your book 11 times. Interesting comment at about minute 16 in the video. You said when a woman says "we are not having sex", it usually means she will unless you talk her out of it. Any chance you can elaborate? I've always interpreted this as no means no. Thanks!

    • @Electronite1978
      @Electronite1978 8 лет назад

      Point being the person who is saying "we are not having sex" is obviously thinking about having sex and also willing. On my last date I heard that I got lucky. As I remembered what Corey mentioned about that phrase I teased her and asked why would you think I would even want to have sex with you. ;)

    • @macioluko9484
      @macioluko9484 8 лет назад +1

      This mindset is a result of your social programming. Women can't help but say these kinds of things to: see your reaction and to seem less easy. If you read Corey's book 11 times you'll remember the part about 2 steps forward and one step back when it comes to seduction. This approach works regardless of what a woman is saying. Remember, she invited him over. He's just walking through open doors.

  • @robman38
    @robman38 8 лет назад

    Hey coach. I enjoy the videos and the knowledge you share with us. Maybe you can offer me some advice here. So I met her on tinder. We exchanged numbers and talked and text for about a week then met for a date. On the date she seemed to be so much different than she was when talking to her. I found it hard to try and get to know her. She was short with me and just seemed cold. But in my car before we got there we had time to talk. We actually pulled over for a bit to talk and it was really nice. I felt like I was connecting with her. By the end of the date leaving the restaurant I was thinking what the fuck just happened. There was even a couple sitting behind her and the lady looked at me with an expression like oh my god. Because she was not concerned with other people hearing her. I would ask her simple question on what her asian name was and she would say if I wanted you to know I would tell you. She would interupt me if I was saying something it just got worse as the night went on. So at this point Im about to leave her there with cab fare to get home because I was getting annoyed. So I said if you cant eat all your food that she should take it home with her. I was nice about it but she knew what I was getting at. When i said that to her this look in her eyes was something really creepy. It was a cold evil glare that gave me the creeps. Anyways On the drive home I tried to ask her if things were ok. And why she was seeming to be upset about something. She said do we have to waste time arguing all the way home Which is what I wasnt trying to do. So the next day I had to be honest with her and I said that I thought she was a little bit rude and wanted to know what was bothering her I would like to know lets talk about it. She responds to me saying that she doesnt want to be an outlet for me to take out my anger and she doesnt want negative people in her life. and told me not to call her or text her again. I was crushed . I could not believe she had just said all this about me and its not even close to the kind of person I am. I responded and said exactly what was on my mind. I was honest with her but I didnt surgar coat it either. I didnt disrespect her by calling names or anything like that I just was really bothered for her talking this trash about the kind of person I was. And that she was wrong and making excuses for me to be the one to look like Im at fault. And how If someone would feel that I did something wrong and told me how they felt I can admit my faults and take responsibility for my mistakes. She didnt even want to know why or cared to show some compassion about how I felt. All I did was point out these facts so She responds to me saying Im crazy and she is going to get a restraining order against me. So a day goes by and I start to feel like shit . She hasnt called me she hasnt responded to my texts. I called her to figure out that she blocked my number. I just wanted to say sorry but she wouldnt even care. I should have let it go but it went from good to bad so quick and what happened wasnt even that bad I thought. How can she be so mad about this. So my question is where did I go wrong here? Was i wrong? Do you think she will get over this and call or message me again? But I still don't think I was wrong for being honest about how I felt. Maybe I over reacted. What do you think. Thank you for taking the time for reading this. I look forward to hearing what you or anyone may advise me on this matter.
