In past experience...once I saw my x with someone new...that was fuel I needed to really move on...almost like the nail in the coffin...obviously its going to happen eventually...but once you see that reality how can it get any worse? you know...its like the push over the hill you need to say "well thats over"

Look at it this way. The best thing you can do is walk away. You will seem more confident and attractive. They will eventually miss you and have some regret. Then they’ll either come back or go away forever in which case they will receive the permanent gift of missing you & wondering what happened, because you just disappeared. Chasing them will make them the prize and drive them away further.

I think it helps with moving on, after a break up there is always hope and suspicion, overthinking, etc. this way you know she moved on and it can help you confirm that it’s over for sure. It also confirms it’s not a guy you know (hopefully) and it calms your mind and then you start really moving on
Birthday today. Ex messaged me the two-word birthday greeting. Immediately killed me, as she's the one that dropped me. I'm in the early "not good enough" phase, with the new relationship phase of hers. I took every bit of responsibility for the failed relationship, though it's not true. As much as it hurts be happy for them and love yourself. There was resistance that's why it ended no matter the reason focusing and counting on your ex to possibly come back could be stopping you from getting your someone that is for you. Find a new focus you're worth it...

I see this happen a lot. Someone is in a serious relationship for 5, 6, 7 years, they break up and end up getting married to someone else just in a few months. My ex never understood it, even after she broke up with me, but now I wouldn't be surprised if she did just that.

The right. As the idiot ex who broke up with my boyfriend a few years ago over something stupid and then had a rebound relationship, they’ll always probably compare what they had with you to the new rebound. In my case it didn’t measure up. It only lasted about a month. The only problem is some of us have to learn the hard way. And then you’re doing damage control and trying to fix it. I remmber when I was like 15 lol I was dating this girl for a year and we broke up. She was still calling me but one day I saw her with another guy and I felt like the world crushed on me... it was brutal 😂 but I learned to cope with these situations. And since then, everytime I see any ex with someone new, every small or big feeling I have for them it just vanishes, like a heavy feeling got off my chest.
Friend of mine saw my ex and the guy she monkey branched to at the store today. It actually gave me some peace in moving forward. This is the best thing that can happen to you, if the new person is a good match you can move on, if not they will soon contact you. Trust me it happens, if they come back they do it crawling. Then you will have to tell yourself if them having sex with someone else is ok for you. You must be afraid if they don't meet no one new because it means they are recovering in the right way, to move on definitely.

@@adrij4961 Around fall time last year, I noticed she had been looking at my Instagram stories, literally everyday. Eventually, I messaged her and asked her how she was doing. I could tell she was embarrassed because I asked her about the stalking. We exchanged pleasantries and were nice to each other, but that was it. That was the last time I heard from her. I still think about her daily though.
It’s happening to me now. She spent time with the new guy this long weekend and went to her parents house and dinner and a baseball game and though it hurts I realize there’s nothing I can do about it other than hope it doesn’t last

I just found you both over the last week.. Coach Margaret reminds me of my grandmother.. shes not with me anymore but i think of her when i need comfort.. its nice that you remind me of her! The person I have feelings for is a complicated character, he's quite mean but have some nice qualities underneath it all. For the last 11 months we saw each other every weekend (after the boys activities which usually involve drinking. but he is non commital. Also we only had about 10 actual dates all up, I always asked to go to dinner or something and it would take him 3 or 4 weeks to finally agree each time. Each monday or tuesday he would pull away. I would accept and let it go each time (most times this was heated) and then by the weekend he would approach me again kind of with his tail between his legs. I've been hurting for 10 months and about a month ago he called it off. He went on holiday and said he missed me and when he came back we united again for one night. Within 24 hours he was mean again telling me to literally "f off to work" in the morning. Then he was cold and mean and for one week I pleaded. Last week I stopped contact. On the 7th day he emailed me whilst drunk and I didnt respond. The next day he added a friend of mine on insta and i knew it was to get to me. I broke no contact and told him off for liking pics of her butt. He is like that, he thinks being mean and cheeky will trigger me, and it did. I blasted him for being a drunk and a drug addict and a pervert. He said he didnt want to hurt me and that he loves me. All i want to do is tell him that I love him too... but hes so mean, hes so non committal and he plays these games. When I was pleading he would reply "get gone" "scoot" "go f someone else". I need to heal. I didnt reply to the i love u message. I dont trust him with my feelings any more. He takes advantage of my forgiveness and then tosses me to the curb again. I just don't know what to do. Its so hard to move on.

Finding out your ex is dating someone else is one thing, but having your person leave you for someone else is one of the toughest things you can go through in life. I know it does not seem like a consolation, but if you go through this once or a few times and better yourself after, you will have a stronger resolve in almost all other aspects of your life. My ex started dating someone new immediately but continued reaching out for a few weeks and told me she misses me. She came over and we went to lunch a couple times. Now she's gone cold, she demanded her things back and unfollowed me everywhere. But she still watches my families social media and ran up to my best friend when she saw him in public. I would consider it a blessing because if your relationship go on and you both marry...what if he drop you for another girl when you have kids? Nid F we are all on the same boat, my ex gf did that to me, she used to be so committed to me and suddenly she break up with me telling me she love another guy. Not only that, she chooses her parents even if they are the one bringing her down at times. Also, I was good to her, I'm not perfect but I had some flaws but can be easily fix but she gave up on me. I'm sorry to hear that. I feel like I gave our relationship 110% at all times, even if it meant caring more for him then myself. He walked out on me, our house, dogs, our whole life without even trying to talk. He literally left when I was at work, didn't leave a note, no text, nothing. I was devastated. He showed up later on that night and said 'you wanted to talk, let's talk'. I said no more. He would drunk text me and message me for about 1 year. We had been through it before and I guess I got upset/jealous that he had moved on so I tried to get him back, but for the wrong reasons.

I’m currently in NC after finding out she’s been seeing someone else. She also told her mom she thinks a lot about getting back with me but the timing isn’t right and that she has a lot to figure out with herself. We had a great relationship. I’m more stable than this guy. She isn’t posting anything to socials, not even telling her mom about this guy. He’s like a dishwasher from her job. Her friend tells me that she definitely feels she’s leaving the door open for us. She has also hinted to me that she has by saying “she doesn’t know what the future holds” “she never ruled us out getting back together”…. Also until I found out, she left all her belongings at the house (we lived together. I hate the fact that my ex gives me 3 Red Flags in 1 paragraph "I need alone time" "I'm not fully ready for a realtionship" "BUT." And then all of a sudden their with another guy. She broke your trust. She screw the relationship herself. She wasn't loyal enough to actually avoid feelings for other guys and be loyal to you. I wouldn't want to get her back. If her relationship falls, she would probably run back to you crying and saying she is sorry and such. I would've done the same as you. And it kind of remind me of my ex too but she was my first gf ever and we even planned a future together. 4 days or 3 days before the break up she told me I would be the father of our kids (future plan) but then on the break up she "love another guy". We broke up just before summer and apparently they have been seeing each other all summer and got together last week. They still do care about you as a person after they leave you, they feel guilty for breaking your heart, even if they don't want you back. You should never initiate contact. If he does, just stay cool and casual, don't jump right into it because you'll get hurt again. Don't compomise for "let's be friends" BS and observe he doesn't want you back just because he is lonely. Most importantly, focus on yourself and consider if this person deserves your love anymore. Don't isolate yourself from the world, other nice people. He is just one of them now, no more no less. You shouldn't consider having him back unless you really feel you could be with anyone else but you just choose him, as two new people you've grown into after the breakup.
I'm two years post break up (she broke it off). She has interacted with my socials (till end of July 2023) and reached out up until (end of June 2023). This made me think there was a chance of reconciliation. I just got my heart broken all over again when she told me just over a week ago that she's seeing someone (not a rebound).

My ex is with someone new less than a month after our break up. I’m scared to see her around, it hurts so bad. I’ve been one month no contact though so it could work out. All I can say is that nobody is irreplaceable and you truly can move on. Start journaling and going to the gym, start writing in a journal every day and hold yourself accountable. I loved chocolate for 40 years.. a breakup about 4 years ago has left me no longer able to enjoy chocolate. This is the time of the year we had broken up..
My relationship of 14 years ended about 2.5 months ago so we have a lot of history, ups and downs. . basically said she didnt think she had it in her any longer to keep trying. The issues she claimed was that I wasn't willing to commit. But, thats actually not the case. In fact I was trying to think of ways to propose and was shopping for rings when everything fell apart. And now, Shes dating a guy that she has seen before in the past. Meanwhile, I want nothing more then to be with her and to marry her. Just like in this video all seems lost. I can't imagine her ever coming back. If I had the money I would be doing a Skype call with one of you for sure, probably would need more then one Skype call since 14 years is a lot of time to cover. lol

Look at it this way. The best thing you can do is walk away. You will seem more confident and attractive. They will eventually miss you and have some regret. I think it helps with moving on, after a break up there is always hope and suspicion, overthinking, etc. this way you know she moved on and it can help you confirm that it’s over for sure. It also confirms it’s not a guy you know (hopefully) and it calms your mind and then you start really moving on

As the idiot ex who broke up with my boyfriend a few years ago over something stupid and then had a rebound relationship, they’ll always probably compare what they had with you to the new rebound. In my case it didn’t measure up. It only lasted about a month. The only problem is some of us have to learn the hard way. And then you’re doing damage control and trying to fix it. Trust me it happens, if they come back they do it crawling. Then you will have to tell yourself if them having sex with someone else is ok for you.

The person I have feelings for is a complicated character, he's quite mean but have some nice qualities underneath it all. For the last 11 months we saw each other every weekend (after the boys activities which usually involve drinking. but he is non commital. Also we only had about 10 actual dates all up, I always asked to go to dinner or something and it would take him 3 or 4 weeks to finally agree each time. Each monday or tuesday he would pull away. I would accept and let it go each time (most times this was heated) and then by the weekend he would approach me again kind of with his tail between his legs. I've been hurting for 10 months and about a month ago he called it off. He went on holiday and said he missed me and when he came back we united again for one night. Within 24 hours he was mean again telling me to literally "f off to work" in the morning. Then he was cold and mean and for one week I pleaded. Last week I stopped contact. On the 7th day he emailed me whilst drunk and I didnt respond. The next day he added a friend of mine on insta and i knew it was to get to me. I broke no contact and told him off for liking pics of her butt. He is like that, he thinks being mean and cheeky will trigger me, and it did. I blasted him for being a drunk and a drug addict and a pervert. He said he didnt want to hurt me and that he loves me. All i want to do is tell him that I love him too... but hes so mean, hes so non committal and he plays these games. When I was pleading he would reply "get gone" "scoot" "go f someone else". I need to heal. I didnt reply to the i love u message. I dont trust him with my feelings any more. He takes advantage of my forgiveness and then tosses me to the curb again. I just don't know what to do. Its so hard to move on.
I am crying while watching , I do lover her so much even if i am so much in pain but still want her to come back, I really i know i am hopeless but i just want to fix thing and want her back (LDR relationship 4 years as i was student and i was about to meet her next year) , I did begging and all for whole November but i am on no contact period from December.

I know it does not seem like a consolation, but if you go through this once or a few times and better yourself after, you will have a stronger resolve in almost all other aspects of your life. Things will not bother you as much, you become iron and let less significant worries bounce off you like Usher's head on Nicki Minaj's butt at the 2014 VMA's. I thought that was an odd way of her saying she needed to "heal" but I know better what it actually is now... made it a bit easier for me to move on since that's the closure I never got with her in person! you guys rock!

Thank you for the reassurance. I was with my ex 6 years and I want him back. It has been a while since we broke up and he's dating someone. Recently we've been in contact and even spent the night together, I know most people would give up but i am going to continue the marathon! I believe in our love. It makes me sick to my stomach thinking of them together.
How long is the break up? And do you really want to be with your ex who drop you for another girl? I would consider it a blessing because if your relationship go on and you both marry...what if he drop you for another girl when you have kids? To be honest he is showing that he isn't worth your level. You contacting him is just making him move on easily from you imo and some might agree or disagree. If I were you I rather move on and find a guy who will be committed and won't give up on us.

Nid F we are all on the same boat, my ex gf did that to me, she used to be so committed to me and suddenly she break up with me telling me she love another guy. Not only that, she chooses her parents even if they are the one bringing her down at times. Also, I was good to her, I'm not perfect but I had some flaws but can be easily fix but she gave up on me. The questions I gave you was the same questions I ask myself too. My break up is fresh but I have to move on for my own good. Idk if you heard this quote but here : "if a person can walk away from you, let them walk" if they truely care and loved you, they wouldve stayed and work out on your flaws or bad situation. Not gonna lie, I'm a guy and yes I cried after the break up but didn't cry in her face though. Every now and then it hurts but getting better slowly.
I'm sorry to hear that. I feel like I gave our relationship 110% at all times, even if it meant caring more for him then myself. He walked out on me, our house, dogs, our whole life without even trying to talk. He literally left when I was at work, didn't leave a note, no text, nothing. I was devastated. He showed up later on that night and said 'you wanted to talk, let's talk'. I said no more. He would drunk text me and message me for about 1 year. We had been through it before and I guess I got upset/jealous that he had moved on so I tried to get him back, but for the wrong reasons.
At least you are owning up to your 'flaws', he never did. I am learning that sometimes a break-up is a good lesson as to what you do and do not want in your life. It was too hard, and I really do not see how your ex can say she's in love with another when she's with you. My ex totally used me, cheated on his new gf and then blocked me..nice huh?
I’m currently in NC after finding out she’s been seeing someone else. She also told her mom she thinks a lot about getting back with me but the timing isn’t right and that she has a lot to figure out with herself. We had a great relationship. I’m more stable than this guy. She isn’t posting anything to socials, not even telling her mom about this guy. He’s like a dishwasher from her job. Her friend tells me that she definitely feels she’s leaving the door open for us. She has also hinted to me that she has by saying “she doesn’t know what the future holds” “she never ruled us out getting back together”…. Also until I found out, she left all her belongings at the house (we lived together. She told me she doesn’t want me out of her life after we had dinner recently (before I decided to do NC)… any thoughts will be greatly appreciated

I hate the fact that my ex gives me 3 Red Flags in 1 paragraph "I need alone time" "I'm not fully ready for a realtionship" "BUT." And then all of a sudden their with another guy. She gave me those Flags on Feb 10. And I tried rebuilding our relationship by becoming friends (at least), but told me "I can no longer see you because I now have a boyfriend." She got really mad at me that I blocked her on Facebook a week after she gave me those flags & this "guy friend" came into the picture & she spent all her "alone time" w/ him rather than w/ me. She didn't like when I talked to my lady friends unless it was a mutual friend so I respected her feelings & didn't talk to them but she wouldn't respect mine & stay away from him? WTF? She thinks I broke our trust relationship... I would love to get your guys opinions...
She broke your trust. She screw the relationship herself. She wasn't loyal enough to actually avoid feelings for other guys and be loyal to you. I wouldn't want to get her back. If her relationship falls, she would probably run back to you crying and saying she is sorry and such. I would've done the same as you. And it kind of remind me of my ex too but she was my first gf ever and we even planned a future together. 4 days or 3 days before the break up she told me I would be the father of our kids (future plan) but then on the break up she "love another guy". My relationship is complicated, not toxic at all. She bring up bs reason. I have trust and jealousy issue but I still let her dress how she want, go where she wants, and let her be her and didn't change her.
Ok so he broke up with me because he “cOuLdNt hAvE a ReLaTiOnSHiP” but hey now he has a new one. We broke up just before summer and apparently they have been seeing each other all summer and got together last week. BUT!!! he’s been texting me all summer, he’s watching all of my stories, and now he ask all of my friends if I’m mad at him or if I hate him or how I’m doing and stuff and he wrote to me asking if I had anything against him. They still do care about you as a person after they leave you, they feel guilty for breaking your heart, even if they don't want you back. You should never initiate contact. If he does, just stay cool and casual, don't jump right into it because you'll get hurt again. Don't compomise for "let's be friends" BS and observe he doesn't want you back just because he is lonely. Most importantly, focus on yourself and consider if this person deserves your love anymore. Don't isolate yourself from the world, other nice people. He is just one of them now, no more no less. You shouldn't consider having him back unless you really feel you could be with anyone else but you just choose him, as two new people you've grown into after the breakup.
I'm two years post break up (she broke it off). She has interacted with my socials (till end of July 2023) and reached out up until (end of June 2023). This made me think there was a chance of reconciliation. I just got my heart broken all over again when she told me just over a week ago that she's seeing someone (not a rebound).

My ex is with someone new less than a month after our break up. I’m scared to see her around, it hurts so bad. I’ve been one month no contact though so it could work out. I don’t think I could ever get back together with her unless she really grows and changes once her new relationship inevitably fails. Hopefully I’ll be moving onward by then though.
@@adrij4961 bro it’s been a month for me and in that month a lot has changed. I found out that the relationship wasn’t just a rebound and she was cheating lol. All I can say is that nobody is irreplaceable and you truly can move on. Start journaling and going to the gym, start writing in a journal every day and hold yourself accountable. I find myself thinking less and less about her every day and I hope you are there soon too. Keep me updated.

My relationship of 14 years ended about 2.5 months ago so we have a lot of history, ups and downs. . basically said she didnt think she had it in her any longer to keep trying. The issues she claimed was that I wasn't willing to commit. But, thats actually not the case. In fact I was trying to think of ways to propose and was shopping for rings when everything fell apart. And now, Shes dating a guy that she has seen before in the past. Meanwhile, I want nothing more then to be with her and to marry her. Just like in this video all seems lost. I can't imagine her ever coming back. If I had the money I would be doing a Skype call with one of you for sure, probably would need more then one Skype call since 14 years is a lot of time to cover. lol
