Hello Julia Chiang, do consider invest in a pressure cooker. It is very versatile, easy use & cleaning.
      With pressure cooker,
The amount water you put inside will NEVER reduce.
The nutrition will be kept back into the food.
It takes 1/3 of time to cook compares to normal pot cooking.
No need to watch over the time, put in ingredients, add desire water, close lock, press a few button, leave it till Cook, it keep warm till you ready to eat...

Not only cook for my family but cook it to my clients & friends...
Tips, add some dried mandarin peel & some Gula Melaka at begining of cooking. Add shioxing wine at end of cooking.
