So no one will say a word that Aemond and his dragon were the one to burn Aegon and his dragon? Aemond just committed regicide and kinslaying…. I swear if the show acts like it’s only Aemond and Cole that know the truth…
To be fair 90% of the army was more interested in not becoming charcoal than watching the fight properly, they were in the middle of friendly and enemy fire (literally) so they couldnt see propely who attacked who, even after the battle, most of the army was disoriented, fighting the castle forces or leaving, probable only Cole was after Aegon and Sunfyre
Would not benefit the greens in the slightest to reveal the truth anyway. Much better to just have aemond replace him better chance that they will win the war.
some people suffers from amnesia for a mere crash accident, so a dragon falling from the sky with his rider and a severe burn.... there are high chances he actually doesn't remember that Aemond was the one to do it
Isn’t aegon going to remember that Aemond tried to kill him? I guess there’s the excuse that he got a concussion. I don’t blame Aemond for trying to kill aegon though. All of the bullying from Aegon and seeing him as unworthy for the iron throne…
It looks like Aemond intentionally wanna kill Aegon II, he order his dragon to breath fire without hestitation when he clearly saw Sunfyre still fighting Meleys
Aegon was in no position to be fighting another dragon, poor Sunfyre never stood a chance. He should have just served as a support and moral improvement role
Aegon should actually act on his threats. His words are useless if he doesn't mean what he says. Your own brother tries to betray you, and make you look the fool? Banish him to The Wall and sever his ties with Vhagar. Your own mother wants to use you as a puppet for an oligarchal court? Paint her as treasonous and throw her in the dungeon. People have to remember that this family made their own bed. Aegon has all the power, and they frankly do not. Otto Hightower being replaced was an example of Aegon showing his teeth. @@Alex34567 he cannot sever Aemond's ties with Vhagar unless one of the 2 dies. And which dragon would they haave left ? Daeron's Tessarion is small, and Helaena's Dreamfyre... is limited by having Helaena as a rider. With Sunfyre crippled they only have Vhagar as a battle-ready dragon.
@@Duke_of_Lorraine There is a loophole. The books have stated the dragons actively avoid going past The Wall. If they send Aemond beyond it there is a possibility of severing ties there.

I can not hate Aegon. This destiny was pushed to him. He never wanted to be king. He deserved better! All his actions are justified in my opinion. When he finally accepted the crown the felt something... Like he was meant for more.. but he never wanted this.
He even tried to run away but they dragged him kicking and screaming to his coronation. When he attempted to step up into the role, they treated him like dirt simply because they want a malleable and mindless puppet. His family sees him as nothing but a thing; a means to wield power. I wondered that too! At least from what I've heard, in the book he does take a year to recover while being on milk of the poppy, so completely clouded. He does remember who Rhaenyra is and what he does to her tho. So I wonder if he'll be too scared.
This was personal. He knows Rahenys was an experienced arial combat, Ageon had no chance as you can see she was about to kill him anyways. Without a male heir he would become the king. He already won, there was no need for him to get his hand dirty. He did it because Aegon annoying him for his whole life.
Aegon is maimed for life...but still Alive!! thats confirmed by Joffery the Sadist kid himself..As far as Rhaenys is considered...IDK wth She tried to acheive by going after Vhaegar..? you could have literally displaced Aegon....then maybe later come back or plan an element of Surprise from Harenhall for Aemond

Nobody want s to listen Daemon. When he said Rhenys to go with him to kill vhaegar, what is crucial for this war, sehe denied. And now she atacks vhaegar alone 🤦🤦🤦I know that this is series butt...
I think there's more factors, though. Yes, in a fair fight between Vhagar (alone) vs. Caraxes and Meleys, yes she'd loose... but not without a price. Vhagar is BIG and crazy powerful and fast for something that big.! Even IF they killed her and lived, Caraxes or Meleys could have been seriously injured. Almost guaranteed they'd be able to kill her, but at what cost? More importantly, in that scene, it's important to remember that Meleys and Rhaenys were both exhausted from flying. Daemon tells her to mount up, meaning she'd be even more exhausted and less prepared for a fight. Without her speed, I'm not sure they actually "could" have beaten Vhagar. More importantly, they would have been fighting over Kingslanding... where the entire Royal Army, every Scorpion bolt aimed at them, plus Sunfyre and Dreamfyre are in the Pit. Daemons plan wasn't thought out well enough. He'd be taking a worked up and exhausted Meleys up against an entire City, armed with weapons to shoot down dragons, plus a fully rested Vhagar... who might not be alone. In isolation, yes, Daemons plan might have worked. But his plan was for too rushed and impulsive. In the end, he'd have gotten himself and Rhaenys and their dragons killed.
EVERYONE shits on Daemon! The sad thing is he was right. They should have attacked KL in season one. This would have possibly stopped the war in its infancy. No one listened to him. Next, he wants Rhaenys to help him kill Vhagar and Aemond...again, he's ignored, and this happens. The same way Otto and the Green council wanted Rhaenyra and her children dead is the same attitude Daemon has towards the Green's.

@bugcatcherjacky1334 nah this isn't canon either, its the show writers changing st. The only canon is what comes to mind with grrm and the closest thing are the books.

Aemond is now oficially the dumbest character in the show. The greens already much fewer dragons than the blacks and he tries to kill the only other dragon apart from Vhagar that is ready for battle. Despite his many terrible character flaws (let us not forget about the raping and child-fighting), I actually felt bad for Aegon. I think Aegon wanted to be a good king but just didn't know how-and his council wasn't helping him. They were not taking him seriously and trying to make him a fit king. Instead of lifting him up and truly supporting him, his council and family blatantly disregarded him, making no secret of using him as a puppet. Imagine seeing your brother coming to your rescue, only to realize that your worst fears have come true. Like Aegon really thought he could trust his bro when it mattered and he disfigured him. Hes a POS.
Moral of the story here: Figure out how many crosshairs are you actually on before you sit on the throne. Aegon was delirious enough to put on shiny full metal and mounted on the most beautiful dragon to do the very thing he really suck at. On the other hand, Aemond had every reason to have Aegon away from the throne even just for a period of time. He could be regent prince at the very least since Aegon just so conveniently lost his heir. He could use the vacancy to differentiate him from how Aegon operate his court. Also Vhegar though formidable in size is not skilled enough for precise assault, Aemond could very well shift the blame of mutilating Aegon to whoever party was in the battle. P.S. And yes, Aemond is not a stupid drunk who only dreamed that he would not be touched and allowed to continue drinking like his brother. He is a victim of bullying, also crippled in childhood. And now the series is really trying to make you love Aegon exclusively, spitting on everything else. Aemond is a crippled, abandoned child. So it's all a tragedy, and from all sides.

Aemond is soo doomed. He was a kinslayer by accident - now, he is one by purpose.
In the eyes of the Gods, he's even more forsaken than Daemon who commanded the murd3r of a child.
Daemon will never hold a candle to Aemond when it comes to depravity. Aemond is a nut. Period. Aemond strategically planned this out, it was not accidental.
@@Virgohorrorqueen1980 I agree with you. Daemon, at least in the show, shows at least to some degree remorse for the consequences of his actions. Aemond, however, has really gone completely off the rails, in the show. :D

So no one will say a word that Aemond and his dragon were the one to burn Aegon and his dragon? Aemond just committed regicide and kinslaying…. I swear if the show acts like it’s only Aemond and Cole that know the truth…
No
Pretty much. The histories were written by Maesters who work for the Hightowers.

Was Aemond trying to kill Aegon with the sword at the end?! That’s crazy
To me it looked like he sheathed it when he saw his body. But who knows what his intentions were if it look’d like aegon was still lively.
Yes he had his sword drawn to kill him until he saw his body
Until Cole coming
I am sure there he intended to secretly kill Aegon II and seize the Throne.
It looks like Aemond intentionally wanna kill Aegon II, he order his dragon to breath fire without hestitation when he clearly saw Sunfyre still fighting Meleys
Who cares about Aegon, poor little Sunfyre baby, this was hard to watch. Same for Meleys
Aegon was in no position to be fighting another dragon, poor Sunfyre never stood a chance. He should have just served as a support and moral improvement role
That's if Aegon was a good strategist. If.
He needs to surround himself with people who believe in his cause, and all others be damned. Nothing more, nothing less.

Aegon abused kids. He was not a good guy.
Isn't he a rapist, though? "All" his actions aren't justified. He's an awful person
He even tried to run away but they dragged him kicking and screaming to his coronation. It’s pretty obvious aegon knows Aemond is attacking him so I wonder how they play this going forward. If they’ll make aegon to scared of aemond to do anything or they’ll just make him forget it cause of his injuries
Or Friendly fire
I wondered that too! At least from what I've heard, in the book he does take a year to recover while being on milk of the poppy, so completely clouded. He does remember who Rhaenyra is and what he does to her tho. So I wonder if he'll be too scared.
He'll be so jacked with milk of the poppy, that he won't either remember or taken seriously.
Her plan was to wound Vhagar so that Team Black can have a chance. She knew she wasn't making it away from that battle.
She probably knew Rhaenyra would lose the support of her lords if they saw that a black dragon came to help out a black aligning castle (Rook’s Rest) and then left as soon as Vhagar showed up

After that it doesnt matter if Rhaenys left Rooks rest behind.

Nobody want s to listen Daemon. When he said Rhenys to go with him to kill vhaegar, what is crucial for this war, sehe denied. And now she atacks vhaegar alone 🤦🤦🤦I know that this is series butt...
Yes, Daemon be might hot-headed and his morals are debatable, but he is right: To win the war, they need to get rid of Vhaegar.
I think people forget that this show won’t have a happy ending lol. We’re watching the fall of the empire…

Despite his many terrible character flaws (let us not forget about the raping and child-fighting), I actually felt bad for Aegon. He had enough self-awareness to know that he would not make a good king. He didn't want it and was forced in to it. Here we clearly see how Aemond and Daemon differ; Daemon would have never betrayed his brother like this. Betrayal cuts the deepest because it always comes from the people we trust.

Rhaenys speaking Valyrian is beautiful, she is such a warrior!
Treachery does run deep within family.
