Dany saves jon. Loses her dragon for him. And what does he do? Stab her in the back. The most ridiculous story lineup for the final season. I so wanted Dany to sit on the throne, with jon by her side as her husband. Would have been such a perfect end to a great show.
And Sansa and Arya are the reason Rhaegal was killed. After she helped save Winterfell. Dany should have just taken back the throne first. They all played her like a fiddle. Arya acts all shocked when kings landing is burning rubble, but she helped cause Dany to go “mad”. In the end Arya and her sister were no better than Little-finger.

I wouldnt have minded the ending except it was too rushed and so it was sloppy and made little sense. If they streched it into to full length seasons I would be fine with the ending they gave but it felt like it was thrown in a microwave
Daenerys was the most badass Targaryen! She bonded with all three dragons and rode Drogon bareback and controlled both Rhaegal and Viserion. That didn't happen with her ancestors. They could only bond with ONE dragon and rode them with special dragon saddles. I hated how D&D ended her arc. And so drastically. They made her turn into her father, which she did everything throughout her life to avoid becoming so it didn't make sense.
False. Earlier, an egg was laid in the cradle of every newborn dynasty kid, and that egg was that kid's dragon.. Except for the king, it was forbidden for anyone to have more than 1 dragon egg. Because this changes the balance of power. In her time, however, she ruled all of them, since there was no one left but her dynasty.
So far i guess, Demon Targaryen is riding his dragon without saddle in HOTD. However Dany was extraordinary in GOT and why would not she be, after all she was the mother of the dragon! Her dragons were her Children not just any tamed beasts.
I totally agree, she didn't have anyone guiding her like her ancestors either - they all had each other to learn from but she did it all herself. There is no way she would've turned into what she did - the writers absolutely butchered her as well as Viserian and Rhaegal's deaths.

Did anyone else notice how much bigger Drogon was than Viserion and Reagal at the battle of Mereen? Remember. Captive dragons (Yes, Reagal and Viserion were captive at one point) grows smaller than the ones who gets to roam freely (such as Drogon)

In the book, the meeting was going well and then out of nowhere Drogon shows up and starts causing chaos , attacking random people and burning shit down . (He is acting like this because he misses his mom , she would rather be with the slaves than her children, even locking the other two up which caused Drogon to take off and get pissed off). Dany directly challenges Drogon in the middle of the pit telling him to stop , he breathes fire at her but she can’t be burned (this is what scared him the most and he didn’t think he could hurt her after this) so she starts walking towards him, picks up a whip and starts hitting him. He eventually submits to her and bows his head down. She climbs onto his back and becomes the first person to ride a dragon in 100 years; mother of dragon not mhysa
it’s really sad for me to see rhaegon and viserion didn’t grow as big as drogon because dany had to lock them in a chamber, which decreases their body growth rate. i would cry too if i was dany. and don’t get me started with viserion and the night king, i am just so done with that part, he ruined the trio
One aspect between HOTD and GOT that I notice is the connection between Dany and her dragons vs the other targaryens. Emilia’s acting is just so on point. Particularly when she reunites with Drogon on the pyramid… the facial expressions really exemplify this
It's weird when the first Dragon died in GOT it was devastating. But in HOTD the dragons don't look as good, well in the first season. 2nd season they are looking more familiar to me. But we grew with the GOT dragons from when they were eggs. Just a different connection like you said. GOT did an excellent job of making them from some myth into the real thing.
Daenerys' dragons did seem like her pets, like her family. Considering she was a Targaryen alone in the world they were her only family so the bond was big In Hotd, even though most of these characters were supposed to grow up with their asigned dragons since babies, it doesn't feel like the bond is as deep. They don't really give as many scenes to the richness of dragons everywhere in that era of Targaryen dynasty as they should, which was the point of the dance ending even more tragic
her locking two of her dragons away was the start of her downfall. once she believed she could chain up her dragons, she was no longer Breaker of Chains :(

dany's first flight with drogon to escape mereen was a truly magical moment like the first actual dragonrider in god knows how many decades emerged in front of hundreds of eyes and none of us expected that to happen at that moment. the more I look back to this show and the more I watch HoTD these days, the more it infuriates me what showrunners did to targaryen legacy by sitting bran on the throne and having arya kill the night king.
Only Quaithe immediately understood the enormous power that Daenerys could wield with three dragons ..all the others were either too stupid too blind or too arrogant to think that they ever had a chance to beat or to trick her
These scenes could very easily be the best of the entire series. I don't want to be closed minded but I just çant think of anything better. The only scenes I can compare them to would be the opening scene and the closing scene from the Hunters series on Amazon prime. I gave a standing ovation In my living room for the opening scene and I was screaming OMG About 100 times at the closing scene . Just thinking about the closing scene makes me say OMG.
I already knew GOT but didn't watch because I wasn't a fan of a series before. When I saw a clip that there were dragons, I immediately looked for a copy of the series. It was really the dragons that kept me going. The integration of dragon in the show as a god, as a friend, as a symbol of power was just amazing.
What I really like about the whole series (books and TV) is that dragons are not some kind of beasts who serve the humans - they are smart and have their own personalities. They understand what is going on. Like when Tyrion comes to unchain Rhaegal and Viserion - those two don't just eat him, they let him help them and then go away peacefully. Or when Drogon comes to the Dannie's rescue and is always by her side afterwards, like a true oldest child

Shout out to one of my high school teachers. He had a very convincing presentation about how dragons were real/plausible. He gave scientific reasoning behind how they could fly and breathe fire. This was many years before GOT was a thing, and it was very convincing. I would give anything to have had smart phones back then, so I could have recorded it.
The only way a dragon that big could fly is if their stomach/chest acted as a giant balloon, the gaz they release to breath fire would act as the substance that would make them feel lighter than they truly would be so their wings could even lift them up

This is what i miss in hotd ,the comfort level between Daeny and her dragons/childrens is amazing ,like the way drogon was laying on Daeny was so precious ❤.
Honestly believe there should never have been a way to kill the dragons such as the scorpion or the night king throwing one spear. The show should’ve been written much better so that the only reason they defeat the night king is through the Daenerys agreeing to help being convinced by Bran(he sees it as the only way possible to save the seven kingdoms through his visions) once the night king has destroyed majority of the seven kingdoms and many major side characters or a main character has died. From here I still like how Cersei manipulated the people to see Daenerys as some monster so if that remains, instead of Dany going manic I believe Tyerion has his fulfilling moment as her hand and suggests that her true people aren’t here but back in Mereen leading to her returning to rule across the seas in a time of peace.(This is just my preferred ending to the rushed one they gave) Jon could then be recognized by many as the true King through his lineage, heroics in the war against the Night King and being truly decent person and would ascend the Iron Throne. They could then create an extended version of the show in the future where we see Jon’s time as King and how his political ties with Dany strengthen the world as a whole.
I remember watching GOT and sometimes thinking that Daenerys always had too many epic scenes which was sometimes annoying but now after watching HOTD I am SO missing those scenes… Nobody can beat dragon epicness like they did it in GOT.
Because with age, they were growing out of control killing sheep and people. She was a queen and shepherds came to her complaining about it. She thought she had lost control over them and therefore took this decision. Later in the story, she learns to tame them (although not much) but enough to keep them free.
I have a theory that some of the iron in the bodies of the creatures they eat is put into their scales, giving them over time a biological equivalent of armour.

I feel like their (and Dany's) deaths hits so hard, not only because of incompetent writing, but also because we've quite literally seen them grow from being born into fully sdult dragons.
Well if Rhaegar is Dany's older brother, than the line to the throne goes from the first born and their sons to the second son and so forth. So yeah, Jon is the real heir to the Iron Throne.
No, we need more dragon screentime. The rarity of GoT Dragons is what makes them so desirable. Plus, we’ll be getting (hopefully) at least one dragon fight in the next season (Viserion vs Drogon)

When Drogon rescues Dany in the fighting pits, that is one of the best scenes either in the books or the TV show.

Honestly believe there should never have been a way to kill the dragons such as the scorpion or the night king throwing one spear. The show should’ve been written much better so that the only reason they defeat the night king is through the Daenerys agreeing to help being convinced by Bran(he sees it as the only way possible to save the seven kingdoms through his visions) once the night king has destroyed majority of the seven kingdoms and many major side characters or a main character has died. From here I still like how Cersei manipulated the people to see Daenerys as some monster so if that remains, instead of Dany going manic I believe Tyerion has his fulfilling moment as her hand and suggests that her true people aren’t here but back in Mereen leading to her returning to rule across the seas in a time of peace.(This is just my preferred ending to the rushed one they gave) Jon could then be recognized by many as the true King through his lineage, heroics in the war against the Night King and being truly decent person and would ascend the Iron Throne. They could then create an extended version of the show in the future where we see Jon’s time as King and how his political ties with Dany strengthen the world as a whole.

I remember watching GOT and sometimes thinking that Daenerys always had too many epic scenes which was sometimes annoying but now after watching HOTD I am SO missing those scenes… Nobody can beat dragon epicness like they did it in GOT.

Im just watching clips, but why exactly did she have to do that to them?
Because with age, they were growing out of control killing sheep and people. She was a queen and shepherds came to her complaining about it. She thought she had lost control over them and therefore took this decision. Later in the story, she learns to tame them (although not much) but enough to keep them free.
