    If you don't understand the potential dangers involved when servicing a coilover assembly, renting a spring compressor may not be your best option. Pay someone who has the knowledge and the proper equipment to do this job.

    If going with the 2nd notch setting in the front and not the level setting much of a rake would that leave on a 22 f150? I’m worried about squat with my trailer hooked up (800lb hitch weight). Also will it affect ride quality?

    • @w.alexedmonds8287
      @w.alexedmonds8287 Год назад

      I'm assuming if you tow it may be better to use the second notch to avoid the extra squat.. I don't have personal experience w this yet but I'm getting a '23 150 which I use to tow and haul a lot so I'll set it to the 2nd notch..

      @@w.alexedmonds8287 my shop ended up putting the level setting and I just stuck with it. Haven’t pulled or towed really this year. Might get RAS which will add some rake back for when I do tow

    How do these shocks compare to the Bilstein 4600 series. Especially when it comes to towing. Thanks

    • @Kallu.Media1
      @Kallu.Media1 3 года назад +1

      Well with the ability to adjust them based upon how much your towing I would say these are superior to the bilstein 4600s but they do also cost 4 times a much. So depending upon your application and needs. For the same price if you have 4600s already you could run an air bag setup to help level out your load and aid in towing comfort.

    I install that set on my truck on the level setting . I knew it was going to be stiffer but I think is to much .. my question is will this set have a brake on period where the becomes a bit softer on street ? Or should I just lower the tension to medium level

  • @skymaster9484

    I just realized somthing I think if you have factory wheel well liners how do you mount the rear shocks. I'm pretty sure the stock rear shocks are behind the liner no way these will fit unless you cut the liner I think.

    • @stevensimpson1043
      @stevensimpson1043 2 года назад +1

      I had a 2020 with wheel well liners, and they had enough flex to unscrew them and bend them out enough to reach the OEM shocks, after you just reinstall the screws, and you never know.

    • @skymaster9484
      @skymaster9484 2 года назад +1

      @@stevensimpson1043 thanks for replying back. I assume these are factory liners I bought the fx4 with 19,000 miles on it, if I put the falcon rear shocks on the rear I would not have access to the lever that changes the firmness of the shock without cutting the liner to expose the top part of the shock. At least on the liners on my truck it's not a big deal I just didn't realize how much my liners covered and protected in my wheel wells.

    • @stevensimpson1043
      @stevensimpson1043 2 года назад +1

      @@skymaster9484 They may be Husky liners. That’s the brand I had, and have on my new truck. Husky’s seem to cover more than the OEM ones. I plan to cut the liners to have just enough access to the switch, but keep it clean.
