Blueberries are low glycemic index. They’re 53 in the glycemic index, & a diet in low glycemic index helps you control diabetes. I’m a diabetic & only eat food no less then 55 in the glycemic index to control my blood sugar

Blueberries are one of the few fruits that don’t make my blood sugar go too high 😬 strawberries, avocados( yes they are a fruit) are the only “fruits” I can eat right now. So I enjoy these fruits and am grateful to have them in my diet.
I use blueberries for my smoothie daily that also includes beets, fresh organic ginger, 1 avocado, some cilantro, parsley and 1 banana. My blood pressure level between 125 to 128 and diastolic at 78. I am almost 68
My wife and I eat blue berries, raspberries, and strawberries with Greek yogurt for breakfast three or four times a week. Berries are available at Aldi's year round.
Blueberries have natural sugars unlike cake or cookies. A half hour workout reduces blood sugars immediately. Blood sugars 188 after workout 90 works for me.
Working out doesn't heal diabetes. What it does is use up the excess glucose in the blood which has been caused by eating. So exercise shortly after eating is beneficial on blood glucose levels, but it does not heal.
So many of the ads that say this and that about ridding yourself of diabetes are so messed up by making you watch a video that at the end tells you to pay out. Thanx for the info😊
I try to eat blueberries every day. I love em as a snack, but mostly eat them in my oatmeal. Any berry is actually good for us, but blueberries ARE THE SUPER FOOD!
I had oatmeal everyday for a year because I had a heart attack. Then once I wore a continuous glucose monitor, saw how oatmeal (no added sugar) spiked my glucose more than anything else. I eat eggs instead now. Doesn't touch my glucose.
@@jorykevinberger7047 hmmmm I’ve never heard that and you’re THE ONLY ONE I’ve heard saying oatmeal is not good for us. I don’t eat oatmeal EVERY DAY like you said you did, I eat it maybe two-three times a week AND definitely with blueberries. Btw, my comment was about blueberries, not oatmeal lol.
@@BAR55825I saw it myself on my continuous glucose monitor and then I looked it up and saw many studies, people with diabetes and videos about how oatmeal (grain) can spike glucose. Zero cholesterol is the selling point. But I’m realizing my heart attack was because I wasn’t aware I was insulin resistant. That said, I’m having a great experience with wild blueberries in particular, and kiwi with flax and ceylon cinnamon. Berries are known to not spike blood sugar levels. If you've been fasting a couple of hours afterwards, of course your sugar levels will continue to drop 🤷♀️
Its because its natural sugar compare to highly processed sugars which includes sugar substitutes. Anyways try other berries and improve insulin with an orange because it has good amount fiber. Orange juice has little to no fiber regardless of labels. Fiber is key to insulin sensitivity.
Even a good raw honey doesn’t 🙂..I found this while monitoring my sugar 4 x a day for months during my pregnancy. It became a good way of finding which honey is good and which one is altered 😅 ...also ajwa dates were good too. They’re only 10% sugar anyways compared to huge loaded mejdool.
