    Please do lemon water before eating bread and then bread without lemon water, there is a study that says the glycemic response should be lower with lemon water in empty stomach

    Do you take insulin or other oral meds? The difference is not much between white vs Ezik…. If you take medication it is hard to compare foods…

    Can you do bread. On another test have lemon squeezed in water on an empty stomach. Then have bread. There is a study that states lemon water reduces the blood glucose spike if eaten after lemon water.

    My husband and i tried the continuous glucose monitor devices and carbs affect each of us soo differently… I ate 6 corn tortilla tacos and only had a spike of 20… he had 4 and had a sharper spike… we stopped ALL sugary liquids when we saw the spikes go up to 200 (from 90-100) from frozen cokes or coffees, we were shocked at how much and quickly sodas spike your glucose… just a few sips, like a half a medium. So none of that… protein is a great buffer for carbs too… But the other consideration is that b/c you had tortillas just 1day prior, your insulin receptors or sensitivity was lower due to a higher glycogen store, resulting in a slighter bigger surge in glucose circulating in your blood the next day. Was your glucose reading on day 2 higher than your baseline from the prior day pre-tortillas?

    I love coconut water with added lemon and ginger. This drink improves my bp levels. I would only drink a 8oz glass. Too muck coconut water can be harmful for diabetes and hypertension. Can - drinks are never good for anyone

    I don't know how red wine actually dropped my sugar levels, but it did by about a point or so. My glucose levels always ranged from 7-8mmol/l, but with red wine, it dropped to 5.4mmol/l. Nothing else was a factor, no activity, nothing else that I've eaten. My theory is that if the liver needs to process alcohol it may also influence it to change the way it deals with glucose.

    Sir, perhaps you could do this same experiment, but include 1 Tablespoon of Kerry Gold, salted butter? I’m believing, by stirring 1 Tablespoon of that butter, not only would it potentially lessen the effects of any spike in your blood, but it would also cause better absorption of vitamins and minerals, and lastly, it would give you greater satiety? Just my preliminary thought..

    Few days ago I was doing lots of work at home fasted for 24 hours and I had 5-10 calories of rice cake. After that I pigged out on everything in my sight uncontrollably. I just couldn’t contain myself. This incident made me revisit every single binge episode I’ve had in my life and most of them started with ingesting pure carbohydrates on an empty stomach. For some reason, hard boiled eggs and sardines also trigger a binge response for me although they’re much superior for my blood sugar response.
