I've been following you for a while, and I just want to take a moment to send appreciation for all the information and the tests that you share with us. They are very valuable to me in my pre-diabetic journey, and I have learned a lot from you. ❤
This is an experiment with an n=1 participant and is not repeated at all. The pre-supplement BG (Blood Glucose) range does not make sense because there is a spike in BGLs and then it returns within normal range and then it spikes a number of times after that. That doesn’t make sense at all. Glycemic index (GI) shows a single spike for high GI food (eg. White bread) or a long gradual rise in a BGL with low GI food (eg. Multigrain bread). Would you buy a medication, made by a pharmaceutical company and prescribed by a medical professional, based on this ‘short’ study?
I have Type 2 diabetes & have been taking your supplements for 4 months. My fasting morning glucose is consistently under 100 now. For the first time in 22 years, my blood sugar is under control. Your videos have helped me understand my disease better than any doctor has. Diabetes can be a baffling disease. Thank you for making such simple, concise videos. My insurance doesn't cover the CGM you're using. Next year I'm planning to get one. I want to know the duration of my spikes & what's happening while I sleep. Thanks so much. I like supporting Gratitude Health. Victoria L***e in Knoxville.
My husband will nearly vomit if he tastes vinegar. The capsule ones have made a huge impact on his weight loss. Just got berberine last week. We really appreciate your efforts and time! THANK YOU
I tried berberine last year...gave me intolerable gas issues....and I have an iron constitution with just about anything from food to supplements. Just a heads-up .
@@Solo-_-.. not all vegs are nasty and jack your blood glucose. Asperagus, peppers, canbbage for example even fruit like avocado, olives, tomatoes dont.
Fiber can help a LOT with blood sugar control and high glucose spikes. I always put psyllium husk and flaxseeds in my morning smoothies. It does help. Fruits like avocado and berries are also great. I usually eat a leafy green salad with lots of veggies prior to meals(before the meal is key), and this has also helped with my spikes. Fiber has helped me a lot with blood glucose and high cholesterol. It’s is also a much cheaper option than supplements like Berberine(which is also helpful for high glucose). The difference between fiber and supplements like Berberine is that fruits and veggies will also provide you with a ton of healthy vitamins and micronutrients(so it has a better bang for your buck). Definitely give it a try!
In a few days, you should reverse the order and do the supplements and donuts the first day, and then the day after do the donuts without the supplements.
I think your information about glucose spikes is a good thing to know, high spikes aren’t good for anyone, both diabetics and non diabetics. Obviously a non diabetic’s blood sugar spike will naturally go down faster than a diabetic. What I’m trying to understand is if you are a diabetic on medication or a non diabetic passing on information. thanks
Don't eat the donuts, certainly not too if you can't resist only eat half of one and put it as dessert on the back end of a protein fat meal. I don't think the supplements made that much of a differexcept in the duration. The spike was still just as bad.
Can you do bread. On another test have lemon squeezed in water on an empty stomach. Then have bread. There is a study that states lemon water reduces the blood glucose spike if eaten after lemon water.
Wow! Big difference! Question. You wait a couple of hours after you eat to monitor your spike. How long does it take after you eat to get a blood sugar spike? When is the peak of the spike after you eat? I can't tell on the graph.
It depends what you eat and if you're diabetic. If you eat no fat and lots of carbs, it can start spiking up as quickly as 30 minutes after you eat. It will also come back down rapidly if you're not diabetic, say by 1 hour. If you eat very fatty and high carb foods, then it'll spike up by 1 hour and can take several hours to come fully back down, especially if you're diabetic.
you look healthy but why do you take health risk by spiking your blood sugat so often, also pls make a short video explaining how to lower blood sugar spike immediately.
Wow, that's a huge difference. Can you do videos to test if saturated fats vs polyunsaturated fats change the glucose spikes? I think I see a higher glucose spike correlation from the seed oil foods, but until I see an N of 1 CGM comparison I can't really come to any conclusions.
That tells us absolutely nothing try to put details in like what did he eat at Taco Bell and what they drink make an effort just don't talk like diarrhea
Would you take the data provided as being reason to take a supplement or medication? Is this a healthy choice? Would you eat one or two donuts at one time? Why would one food eaten at one sitting cause more than one spike in blood glucose? How long has he had diabetes for? Does he take any medication for his diabetes? How well controlled is his diabetes? Do you trust the data being provided being robust enough to make a change to your management of your diabetes or health? The more questions you have, the less likely are you to trust the data provided…
I came here to say this exact thing … donuts, and all other crap food are poisons!!!! causing inflammation everywhere. There’s no pill that can change that ! there is no magic pill.
Your videos lose all credibility when you're trying to sell something. I would never purchase or ingest some random product being peddle on RUclips or TikTok.
The way that I understand it is if you eat vinegar products (like dill pickles) before ingesting high carb foods the vinegar blocks the alpha amylase in your mouth secretions which break down carbs into glucose. So by blocking the alpha amylase you get e decreased rate of glucose absorption which provides for a more even glucose rise as opposed to a spike.
I was hoping you would do the donut test with the berberine and ACV. I have been having improved results with these supplements. I will be a customer as long as you continue making them. Thank so much.
I'm very interested in the seed oils and their effect separate from the sugar/carbs. Donuts are in fryers where the oil sits hot. Dr lustig is very convinced with data about trans fats being made when oils are heated. The more/longer the worse. Even olive oil is making trans fats when heated. some debate this. I do not. They mess me up and fatten/sicken me. Try a bag of olive oil fried potato chips and come back to this comment. Let me know how the scale goes.
Hi, can you make a video drinking whey protein and another one drinking casein protein to see how your body reacts? 😮 oh I Just found you have a whey video already , Tks .
Love your channel and experiments. I wear the Libre CGM. And have had good results. Can you try an experiment regarding dessert after a meal. Day 1 meal: protein with a veggie (baked chicken and broccoli for example). Day 2: same meal but add dessert directly after. (cheesecake, cookies).. I have tried this experiment myself. It helps when you go to a birthday party or a family get together to have dessert right after a meal.

Your videos have helped me in my diabetic journey more so than any doctor that I have ever seen. They push a new drug or treatment or device over common sense and proper diet. Also…the advent of the CGM is a must for anyone trying to keep their bg levels in range. I have learned a great deal from your presentations. Thank you for taking the time to put these out for the public.
Why would you spend good money on supplements to counter the effect of eating the high carb snacks? That is bonkers! Just don’t eat the snacks in the first place, save yourself unnecessary expense and your waistline into the bargain.
I want to say thank you for the wonderful keto bagel bites recipe. They were very easy to make and delicious! Btw, I doubled the recipe and made them a bit bigger. I'm going to have one (toasted with garlic butter) after writing this comment. Thanks again, and God bless you 🙏🌹
Staying healthy is not only about reducing blood sugar spikes. It's also about how the food ingredients affect our bodies. In this particular case, do you think that the ingredients in the donuts are good for our bodies? That they won't cause inflammation? The main reason we focus on insulin sensitivity and go low-carb is to heal our bodies through consuming organic whole foods and to eat less frequently, no?

Fish oil capsules works better
Berberine has been a game changer for me.
Would u pls test DATES?…”they say is a low index dried fruit”.(?)Thank you.🙏
This 👏 dates are so overrated. I'd love to know if they cause a spike!
He did Medjool dates, no spike. They're actually recommended for diabetics.

Because of that, we Iranian add Berberine to the rice as a dressing
That's impressive. A video with just one of the supplements at a time would be of interest.

Just can't understand why people still eat things like this. It's so toxic to our bodies. And expensive in the long run! Hospitals depend on it. 😢
Bc they are delicious
I wonder if you have used Stevia sweetener, if so could you please do a blood sugar test?
Can you do it with eating a protein/fat/fibre before eating such sugars? You can do it with cinnamon, neem powder, okra etc.
Can you do bread. On another test have lemon squeezed in water on an empty stomach. Then have bread. There is a study that states lemon water reduces the blood glucose spike if eaten after lemon water.
Berberine gaveme stomach aches. I had to stop them and it did nothing for my A1C
Wonder why not just use apple cider vinegar, why a capsule?
Wow! Big difference!
Question. You wait a couple of hours after you eat to monitor your spike. How long does it take after you eat to get a blood sugar spike? When is the peak of the spike after you eat? I can't tell on the graph.

Everybody is different and different meals caused some variations.
He waits and shows you the full time span, from just before the food to two hours later. This is so you can see the full effect.
I had to return the supplements but never got a refund 😢. Stomach couldn’t take them
so is this working on increasing your insulin or decreasing the glucose?
@insulinresistant1 can you pls try taking diluted acv post a meal and test the spike
Do you take the same amount of supplements before each meal every day?
Wondering the same. How many times can you take them in a day ?
is your blood sugar monitor store bought or a RX
Can you please try liguid apple cider vinegar instead. Thanks
I thought you had to wait 30 minutes before eating with those supplements.
Reading "glucose revolutin" by Jessie... right?
She is lovely, but the vinegar trick has been around for decades.
