tommy is one of my favorite drummers, his sound and power is incredible i´m a drummer too and one of my favorite records is randy roads's tribute from ozzy, so i love him since the first time that i listened.
tommy is one of my favorites. It stuns me that the drum solo he does in the beginning is exactly the same as when he played with ozzy is 82. He's been doing the same drum solo for over 30 years. It just would have been nice to hear him do something else.

Wow I never knew that about him! He is such a talented drummer who kinda gets lost in that shuffle between whose the best drummer, Neil Peart or John Bonham. I think technique and finesse are great but ulitimately who a person is and the connection they make between fans and audiences is more important...
Drummers since the jazz era (and before), like Chick Webb, have played drums with their hands. John Bonham was a huge jazz fan - so, everybody borrows.
When did he played with Aerosmith? I guess somebody confused Tommy with Joey Kramer because of the puffy hair Kramer had during the 70's and 80's haha. Oh, and also because Kramer does a bit of a hand solo with the drums and they look alike.
Maybe he knows something you don't know. ; ) God is very real. Look outside your window. He created all things. Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:16, John 1:1-3. Then Jesus Christ came to this earth to save sinners like you and me, and Tommy has trusted in this Truth! Its been a year since you wrote this, but hopefully it falls on willing "ears". God bless. Whether you believe or not, Tommy is still an amazing drummer. :)
