Love and respect Mr.Aldridge. saw him with Whitesnake in a festival weeks ago and the audience couldnt take the eyes off him. His speaking voice is identical to Billy Squier lol.
Jackson, Mississippi in the house... he's taken amazing care of his body over the yrs...love his work with Pat Travers... especially Live...Go for what you Know...that album is a tight badass jam🤘🏻♥️💯
Hey there guys! This is my last DSN interview! It was great to have had the chance to meet so many people out there and learn about new gear and gadgets! I'm focusing on my drum education now and other projects that are so important to me that need my attention! Thank you so much for being there! I will still upload video content and will be here supporting the drum community! Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support! Much love, Jarah xxx
Hi, Sam! Of course! I'm. Just not creating any DSN episode... I'll be focusing more on drum covers and educational videos! All this should start by this fall. Just waiting for my new kit to arrive 😊.
Louis bellson invented Double bass drums in 1946 . Buddy used times to times . There s a solo in 1949 . Charles connors used it for a Little richard Tune in 50s . And Sam woodyard, Dave black, Rufus jones used it . Through 50s and 60s . Mitch mitchell, Ginger baker, Carmine Appice used it in mid / end 60s . Then Tommy came in the scene around that time in early 70s . Putting things very personnal , completed modern things ahead of time things that nobody did in this heavy genre of music . Influencing extreme players as well. Around the same time Paicey used it for Fireball , created also a prototype of speed double bass speed metal /thrash metal format . Bill ward switched for a double bass kit when they began Master of reality John bonham could play double bass . In late 60s he did with a carmine appice kit on first zepp tour in US . He did it when he played on his good friend bill ward kit around sabbath bloody sabbath times , and recorded a track called Bonzos s montreux ended up o' Coda . Budgie used double bass drums since first album . Trapeze used it . More obscure bands like Nightsun or icecross who did crazy stuff . But tommy did an extant than few in the genre could do . Except in the jazz fusion scene such mahavishnu ochestra which was heavy as well . Creative and crazy shit as well.. billy cobham, Narada michael walden Great era isnt it ?
Tommy is a very special person. It's too bad you couldn't have done this in a room away from a public hallway. The acoustics are not conducive to a video interview like this.
We did our best for the area we had available. I was lucky enough that Tommy actually came back the next day to this festival to do this interview with me.
Midia loves talking about the energy and longevity of Ozzy Osbourne despite drug and alcohol abuse ... yeah right what a fucking joke. Year after year and I see the performaces and solos of Mr. Aldridge and someone helps me to understand wtf is going on here ?! Same energy and quality as 20 or 30 years ago. Seriously sir how do you do that?
He’s so freaking humble! 🤘🏽One of the best!
That legend. The best 'Hard Rock' drummer ever.🥇
Wow...Tommy is amazing. His precision is just out of this world. Extremely humbling watching him play. Much respect for this man...legendary.
God bless Tommy. Steady workin' drummer for decades.

Such a gentleman and a LEGEND in rock drumming. One of my favourites Barr none. Just and amazing person.
Nice to see Tommy Aldridge still playing his heart out at his age. That should be inspiring to everyone regardless if you like his playing or not!

Oh my stars!!!
Tommy's pushin 70 look at the hair it's amazing!
It's a wig goof
@@geo6740 you know nothing
@@tttarms1970 I must say it's a lot nicer than that dead animal Gene Simmons puts on his head....
He dyes it, but it is indeed big!
With Travers he was off the hook. Enjoyed that live, twice when I was a teenage drummer myself.
Jarah 🙏❤️🥁
So humble . One of the greatest . I think she likes him lol
are you going to do more youtube content in the future?

Great era isnt it ?
Neil Peart invented "air drummers" and transcended the instrument as much, if not more, than ANYONE in rock history!!!
I wonder how he keeps himself healthy... drumming at his level must take a heavy toll on the body
I guess the fact that he has never stopped is what kept him so fit. He has some serious cardio going when he plays!
Diana Lopez I think I read somewhere that he enjoys running in his spare time.
lots of raw cookie dough and gummi bears
Bicycling
He rides a bicycle about 50 miles a day

You 2 could be brother and sister
For my money, Judgment Day is Tommy Aldridge at his best.
Tommy appears t be very uncomfortable ..

Some many good questions to ask Tommy and that's what this girl.comes up with? What a waste!! Cutting him off when he speaks is not a way to go!.
Hi Black Oak stuff is better. Country drum techniques.
