This man has his own sound, he was very good friends with the late Mr Burns, one of the great percussion educators. Mr Aldridge to me is the gold standard of rock drumming!
THANX TO TOMMY ...TERRY BOZZIO NEIL P CARL PALMER AND MANY OTHERS I HAVE HAD HONOR TO MEET IN PERSON....... THRU DRUM CLINICS IN WESTERN MA. ALL OF THEM PERSONABLE INFOMATIVE GRACIOUS.....THANX ALSO TO REMO DRUM HEADS AND ACCESSORIES ALSO ZILDJIAN CYMBOLS FOR many sponsorships
Man can you fellow drummers out there just imagine what it would be like to see Tommy Aldridge from WhiteSnake and Ozzy! In person one of the most important drummers of his time he's 66 years old! What an honor!
First Tommy in the 70's when he was playing for Black Oak Arkansas. His double bass drum technique blew me away. I still play for my own enjoyment right now but I'm always open to options for a new band.
I love how fast he grabbed another stick when he dropped one at 8:30 --totally smooth!!! HE'S THE BEST OF ALL TIME !! John Bonham was good but Tommy is GREAT!!!
tommy is no doubt a very good drummer, i find it odd how many people are more impressed with his "stick recovery" than his playing. its really not that difficult to grab another stick.
My girlfriend's neighbor is the cousin of Tommy fuckin Aldridge dude and he loves to fuckin Party.he has pictures of Tommy fuckin Aldridge Just totally fucked up and can still play the drums!
No Zildjian didn't drop Tommy! He got sick of them braking on him after every couple of shows! ( Even the Z Custom's and the Z Platnoms would crack) So he went to Paiste and asked if they could come up with something better! And they did! I started with Paiste in 85". I am still using the same set of RUDE 3000's to this date and have only broken one 18" crash in that time! I love my PAISTE RUDE 3000 (With the red lettering ) series.
And yet here you were, watching the video! Put up or shut up buddy; either way you won't be this good at 69 years old. What have you been playing like two weeks??
@@KONAMAN100 enlighten us as to what a 6 year old sounds like behind a drum kit. I mean you would know better than anyone right, since that's likely your level of playing.
Tommy Is One of the great Drummers in hard & heavy... He's Soul Is young and powerfully...tank s.
Tommy Aldrich= Legend!!!
to hit so hard and perfect time and with incredible drum fills is such a workout..
This man has his own sound, he was very good friends with the late Mr Burns, one of the great percussion educators. Mr Aldridge to me is the gold standard of rock drumming!
Gold standard in rock drumming is pretty much sub standard elsewhere. The four is a bore.
the way he recovered from that stick drop at 8;33, flawless
tell me about it....audience prob thought it was a flip it was so small and the stick bounced right back in his hand!!!
Incredible work.
That's what happens when you've been a pro drummer since you were 16! Awesome.
The greatest rock drummer of all time in my opinion . Tommy has no peers
He does John bonham mike portnoy Mike mangini aquelis priester jay Weinberg tony royster jr alex van halen

Don't forget his work with Black Oak Arkansas and the Pat Travers band!
One stick drops and there’s another one, didn’t miss a beat. That’s why Tommy Aldridge...playing live...dude is a beast.
Tommy killer as always! Anybody know what track he’s playing to here? I’m really digging the guitar work and would love to locate this track!

8:32 what kind of sorcery is this???😯
I actually kicked Tommy’s rear in a drum off one night. Then, I woke up and had to go to work.
That was amazing stick recovery
cool dig the open handed groove at the start and check off how "flat"his cymbals are set almost no angle
5.5 minutes of an 11 minute video and he finally makes it out.
I love how fast he grabbed another stick when he dropped one at 8:30 --totally smooth!!! HE'S THE BEST OF ALL TIME !! John Bonham was good but Tommy is GREAT!!!
Great Drummer YES, but better than Bonham……...John is and will stay at the top for another 100 years.
No sabía que había competencia de bateristas
Who shot the video, a 5 year old? Kudos to Tommy...
My apology Mr Burns is still with us! I retract the late comment. Nice to know Mr burns is still with us!
Drops stick.. like it was on purpose.. beast!!!
Dave holland was on Zidjian 😃, Lesbinks too i think ..
Whether it’s Jazz/ Jazz Fusion/ Rock/ Metal/ Prog/ Pop... Dynamics are key for me.
That's how you hit a snare!
Tommy is the Chuck Norris of drummers.
Tommy was a Zildjian user forever upon til not so long ago.
tommy is no doubt a very good drummer, i find it odd how many people are more impressed with his "stick recovery" than his playing. its really not that difficult to grab another stick.

Skip to 5:31 ....you can thank me later
I’d like to see Mr. Aldridge play for 11 minutes. Instead of three dudes talk for 5 minutes.
Wow I can play to a sound track too. Hope there was more to it
Well, this was only 11 minutes of an entire drum clinic so yes, there was definitely more to it. Lol
Girl drummer omgsh never seen one before 🤤 she wins a gift tonight! ... simp
Really? Let's see a video of your virtuoso drumming there Captain Douchenozzle, I'm pretty sure no one has heard of you.
Could have done with out the first 6 minutes
Yeah, well…an introduction and thanks is necessary. You don’t like it? Blow me.
colosso
half of video is some crap introduction
Il re
Too much talk, not enough TOMMY!!
i stay to watch Aldridge but what a horrible introduction
As a drummer myself...ive never neen so bored
that's why you'll never be a drummer-grammar!
It's like listening to a 6 year old play
And yet here you were, watching the video! Put up or shut up buddy; either way you won't be this good at 69 years old. What have you been playing like two weeks??

The great Man , but unfortuantely he doesn't Own any of these Songs
The Barney Rubble of rock drumming...yawn !
Cringe fest dam.
I don’t think Tommy could groove. Very one-dimensional. I like him as a solid basic rock player.
Clearly you don't know shit about drums or grooves.
Same old shit...
And yet here you are watching him play!🙄
I love Yamaha, but that's an ugly-ass kit. Don't like matte finish....
