Just a look at Tommy's face and you can tell he's not playing in Drumeo's studio. He's gone back in time to the good old days, having a blast onstage with the whole band.
Tommy was, is and will always be one of my favorite drummers. The man is one of the greatest to ever be behind a kit in the Metal forum
He's loving this
Maybe the most iconic drum intro in hard rock. What an amazing player. Much respect!
Agreed!!!!!
It Kicks Ass!
❤🥁🔊
He isn't the original drummer. Lee Kerslake did the drumming on Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman.
Tommy has always been my favorite drummer. I was lucky to see him in '87 with Whitesnake, what a great concert, and his drum solo was unbelievable.
Love Whitesnake too!
I did, too. He was much better than Tommy Lee.
Whitesnake!
Saw them in the early 90's in Nashville.
So freaking good!
You and I indeed share precious memories my friend
Oh also, if drummers made game calls...Tommy would be the guy to call 😀
Same here! Seen them twice that tour. The first show was my first metal concert and I was hooked after that
I'm glad to see him still playing as powerfully as he did when I was a metal kid in the 80's.He's around 70 now, right ? Amazing ! I'm 53now and I cannot do what I could do at the age of 23.
Amen, dude!
He just shines without being arrogant!I love him!
Tommy is such a quality human being and amazing legend of a drummer. I feel honored to have been able to seen him perform with Randy back in 1981.
This is just a straight up masterpiece!!!
ARE YOU KIDDING!!! What an HONOUR to watch this, get words of wisdom, and behind the scenes input from a freaking ROCK/METAL LEGEND!!! The way he hands out kudos to former and present drummers is so typical of such a great, GREAT human that Tommy is, and the most SMOKING of drummers! SO MUCH LOVE TOMMY!
One of my favorite drummers... Became a fan back in the Pat Travers days and followed his career since. I love his style of playing, he's still a beast!
The absolute power in every single hit gives, you truly feel that Tommy loves his instrument and lives and breathes music, that into fill will always be iconic thanks to Lee Kerslake and Tommy🤘🤘
He's my favourite drummer and he lives up to the legend he is. Great guy overall
Love Tommy's drumming, what power he has, he is absolutely one of the best ever, in play and in humanity!
God bless this fine man🤘🏻
I saw you in 1980 my first concert you was the drummer for The Pat Travers band, I've seen you 3tmes total once with ozzy once with white snake, to me you Re in the top 5 drummers of all time.
Tommy is such a good representative for human kind. God bless all who enjoyed this.
Killer drummer. Absolutely amazing. Tommy is 72 years old and plays like he's still 25.
I was at the original shows, your still kickking ass !
I've seen Tommy playing drums in concert with various bands since 1983. I've never sought him out to hear him talk nor did I know any of his back history during the Ozzy years. I've always thought that Tommy was one helluva drummer, but now after watching this video, I have absolute respect for the man. What a great, sincere, and genuine person.
Tommy still a fucking beast after all these years
Tommy's chops are legendary. He and Kerslake both showed their percussive virtuosity on this classic.
Hell ya!!
Tommy is a LEGEND!
A true living legend of drumming. Probably the best rock/metal drummer of all time. And the fact that he played with the excellence of Randy Rhoads (my favourite ever) makes it even better.
Always beautiful to see the love he had/has for the great Randy Rhoads!
Tommy is the man. What a cool guy and amazing drummer.
What a wonderful, humble, soft spoken man. His humility and sheer gratitude at having been able to play with this incarnation of ozzy is a lesson we could all take a page from. If only 15 year old me had this video of Tommy then, hoo boy!
Never apologize brother Tommy, for being one of the best drummers in the world! That’s what makes you who you are brother! God bless you man for being so talented! I can’t even imagine the work you put in to get to where you’re at!!! Love You, brother, and thank you for everything you’ve given us!!
God? Hahaha
@@xulphyteTommy is a good Christian man, Southern born and raised. That may not make much sense in your worldview - heavy metal musicians from the deep South that believe in God?? Yes. Even Ozzy is a Christian. We are literally the founding fathers of heavy fucking metal. Open your mind..
We also got to pay tribute to jake e lee who was playing in this live video clip they were referring to. Dude is a machine 🎸🤘
Just wow. I have no clue how a drummer can keep track of that much kit (same goes for RHCP sized pedal boards, lol). Tommy Aldridge makes it look effortless, but I’m sure he worked hard to became such an amazing drummer. Also, Tommy has no reason to apologize, but I love how he tips his hat to prior drummers and the musicians he worked with. Every musician can and should do their own interpretation while still respecting an iconic song and the musicians who came before. Tommy is a class act, which makes him a total pro. I hate when musicians are disrespectful to others and act big-headed - no matter how talented, you won’t win over the masses by being a jerk. Tommy is just one musician who is living proof that playing nice and working hard at his craft is a much better option.
Big kit, and then you look at Neil Peart's kit and realize Neil was on a whole other level! RIP to the Goat
It warms my heart to hear this wonderful man speak so nicely about Randy Rhoads. Tommy is 100% class, and long live the music of RR
Tommy's a legend yet still so humble. Aloha!
That is just jaw-dropping...and like all great musicians, he recognizes and respects other talented soundsmiths. Nothing but love, Mr. Aldridge!
SUCH a "GO TO GUY" ....always ON POINT....great drummer...bless his heart.....
Tommy's drum playing skills have always stuck out to me and when your playing with the Great Randy Rhoads that is saying a lot! I am 57 still do hard labor after seeing this I will not stop don't wanna die yet.Brian from Colorado
this video was very inspiring. 72 years and a whole lot of vitality, tommy aldridge is an absolute bestial player. so precise, so strong, you can tell how much he has put into his craft. thank you for this video
I love the way Tommy plays a simple rock beat, but with real power and precision. His snare and kit in general sound amazing in this video. The fact he's so humble too, really makes him endearing.
12 crashes => I guess he could do the job with 3 maybe 2 crashes.....
@@MrDJELEDJEif i could afford 12 crashes that give me different sounds, I'd put them too on my kit
Thanks Tommy, you are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An honor to watch this. The way this man drums and at the same time praises Randy is out of the ordinary, reflects how much he enjoyed being with one of the most accomplished guitarists ever lived on Earth. Amazing.
Love his drumming! Full of power and energy! One of the best metal songs ever! 🤘🏻
Tommy is such a class act. He knows his stuff and when he says how great Randy was people better take it to heart. Long live the legacy of the great Randy Rhoads!! His genius will forever inspire.
Such a cool dude right there. I love how Tommy pays respect to Lee and doesn't try to overwrite anything, he just brings his own character into place. Thank you Drumeo for another outstanding guest and video, keep it up!
Tommy made the song better with what he did. Had nothing to do with "character" but was done by ADDING ACTUAL drum beats.

Legend. Tommy brought the drum parts out in the spotlight. I was 14 when I got my first Pearl Kit. This was the first song I taught myself. Very fun to play . Drum legend,,,one of the greats.
your a legend
First heard Tommy with Pat Travers in the late 70's, and I was blown away by his power and precision! Tommy has always been, and will always be, inspiring and motivational to all of us; THANK YOU SIR!!!
Living legend right there! Thank you Tommy for giving mortal drummers an example to emulate.Your skill as a musician is only out weighed by your humbleness!
your a living legend
Fucking Aldridge is a beast! Rock on brother🎉
Tommy is such a CLASS ACT, and humble man. INCREDIBLE DRUMMER!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🥁⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Watching Tommy play is so much fun. He's so expressive and playing so hard it looks like it hurts....just how metal should be! 🤘🏻
Tommy is so humble honoring Mr. Kerslake's original drums contribution to a perfect song. A true pro.
Now this was a real treat. He’s the same animal as always. My father and I used to rock Ozzy. Him being a drummer since childhood, same as I, we really appreciated this dude.
Absolutely electric performance. Chills
Man! Tommy shows that kit who's boss. What a great drummer! One of the best.
one of my favorite songs of all time. So great to watch Tommy lay this down.
