A more down to earth, unaffected and humble man you will not meet.... except ME, of course, I'm so humble that I tell everyone I meet how humble I am!😂
Is that one individual the yelping, screeching moron who has ruined his voice?
@@ScottAndersonYT That'd be the one. I do admire the rest of the guys in DT for sticking with him, but you have to draw the line sometime. Surely there comes a time when you gotta realise that it's well past time to call it quits. Autotune will get your tone right, but it doesn't fix everything.
Love the intro to 6:00 … so glad that Mike included that one along with so many classics!
And now he perfom 6:00 again with Dream Theater.
Mike Portnoy one of the best drummers in history
He has played with so many bands too, he seems to be a nice guy
Damn ! This 6.00 o’clock intro ! I miss it 🤯
I met Mike here, in Brazil. One of the nicest guy I ever met.
Cozy Powell - Stargazer by Rainbow....howdja miss that one Mike? One of the most iconic intros of all time dammit!
Apparently not one of his favorites… I expected Ian Paice and either Fireball or Pictures of Home or both but those are obviously not among his favorites either…
Oh he loves it. Dream Theater did a cover of it on Mike's final album w/ the band. I'm sure there's many more he would put on the list.
Will never understand the need for comments like this.
Yes... I expected Stargazer to be on this one too.
Sick to thng that he could go through almost all DT songs he recorded and they are almost all memorable parts.
Man - I could watch this for hours 😊
He like the living holy book for rock drummers. The great and the only Mike Portnoy.
6 o’clock man…what a badass song…
Mike Portnoy- one of the greatest and the coolest. Many, many Dream Theater shows over the years starting with Images and Words Tours. Recently saw him on the John Petrucci solo record tour. Portnoy is worth the price of admission by himself anytime, anywhere. Being a drummer myself, one of my favorites is his fantastic riff/pattern in "Under the Glass Moon" about 30 sec in. EPIC!
Geddy and Alex are getting "itchy"and talking about touring again as Rush !!!
I hope to God they are talking to you Mike because "Everyone" knows that you are the guy for the Part !! They know you know each Rush song and would play them as they should be !!!
Say Yes Please !!! 👍🥁🎶
So great watching him geek out over his favourite parts and having fun.
Portnoy é muito divertido de assistir e extremamente técnico ao mesmo tempo, combinação fatal dos grandes heróis da música.
It is always fun to watch Mike play and tell anything, he is professional in that.
Mike Portnoy is so humble. This guy is a beast! Sooooi great!
Love them fills a great collaboration of my favorite drummers RIP the Professor 🤘
One of the most genius musicians of his era for sure
Mike is right up there along Neil Peart in my list of personal favorite drummers! I'm so glad I got to meet him back in 2004 and that he signed my 22" ride cymbal back then. Super nice guy!
Man, I haven't seen a single person mention Danny Carey... Him and Neil Peart are probably my 2 favorite drummers ever
Same. Even Gavin Harrison
Literally any Tool related video is going to be nothing but people declaring Danny the GOAT.
Danny blows Mike away.
@@hinjurock70 facts lol.
@@colinburroughs9871 because he is. Portnoy comes nowhere even close to Carey's level. Carey is in a level of his own!
Thank you for mentioning Clice Burr 🙏. He is the guy that inspired me to pick up the sticks and I love specifically his stuff with Maiden. Not to knock Nicko who I love as well, but Clive had something else that fit so well with Iron Maiden that I feel gets overlooked
If Rush ever come back, they should hire Mike Portnoy as their drummer
Him or Danny Carey
Hopefully rush never comes back 🙏🏻
@@iLLuzion1st why tho, they’re the best band on earth
Big nope
Gavin Harrison
And you MIke, are many people's drum hero.. Thanks for this video 😄👍
un momento de 6:00 y te das cuenta que suena mil veces mejor que MM, el groove que tiene Mp es magnifico! y brutal que haya mencionado tantas intros clásicas e icónicas, y bateristas que se suelen mencionar mucho
