    I want to thank you so much for coming out with this video because I’ve been having problems with my machine will be getting tangled in the bottom inches scrunching up at the top I’ve ripped a lot of new shirts it’s a learning progress and I think that’s a perfect idea to have a tension test Which I’m going to do now thank you again

    PSA: Brother machines are notorious for ignoring your tension settings if the bobbin isn't set "just right"... I noticed everything on lettering was real good for a moment, ran outta thread and put new ones (bobbin included). The bottom thread started appearing on top. I fought with the machine for a few hours... turns out, taking the bobbin out and redoing it (tugging on the thread before putting it through the little cutter) was enough to get it working again. Just to test it, I rethreaded the bobbin once more (without tugging) and it was messy again... did the little tug before cutting, and it worked. I have the se600, i consider it a garbage quality machine. I've at least made enough in product to cover the cost. Will be throwing it in the trash one of these days and hopefully get a Viking -_-

    The random one or the perfect one is 4 or 4.5
    And each tension has a use for exemple the 9 you use it on denim
    If u do 4 on denim the motifs will be ugly and not good so its depends on what you te using

    I have a Brother Disney machine and have trouble stitching the letter L it does fine on the long side but loops on the bottom of the L any advice?

    • @chellesway2270
      @chellesway2270  4 месяца назад

      Hey Nancy 👋🏾 there could be a number of reasons. Check your needle & make sure it is not damaged. You can try different tension settings. Also check your top threading and bobbin threading, make sure they are correct 🫶🏾 Let me know if this was helpful.

      Thank you💕 It may, depending on the thickness. Honestly, In my opinion I would avoid it on this type of sewing machine.

    Hi I've been having problems lately with my brother se600....it would be doing my embroidery pattern nice but them when it get to a particular area the needle sink into the fabric and start to stich under the fabric then when you stop and remove the hoop all the thread is bundle up between the metal plate....what's the problem there?

    • @chellesway2270
      @chellesway2270  3 года назад +3

      Sounds Like Your Tension May Be Off (As In Loose) On Top and/or Bottom You Have To Readjust Your Tension Every So Often Depending On The Material You Are Using.

      Your backing paper is too weak. For the brother se 600 try using mid to heavy weight tear away stabilizer

    • @thecomorbiditycurator8018

      @@onezshul On a SE625, I use a mid weight tear away and every single tension setting does the bunching under the plate. I've tries different weight fabrics, different thread count fabrics, different stabilizers, changing my needle, different weight thread, iron on stab, adhesive spray, pinning. nothing works.

      @@thecomorbiditycurator8018 I had that problem but solved it. I solved it by adjusting the bobbin thread. I saw a video on RUclips, and the guy shows a unique way of knowing (testing) if your tension on the bobbin is at its proper setting. He taped 5 quarters wrapped in a small piece of scotch tape, attached the tape to the bobbin's bottom (closed end). Then grab hold of the bobbin thread while letting the bobbin swing (hanging) freely. If the bobbin lowers quickly your tension on bobbin is too loose, if the bobbin doesn't move or if it moves downward too slowly or it doesn't lower down at all, your bobbin tension is too tight. TO ADJUST BOBBIN TENSION > to adj. the bobbin thread (I'm referring to Brothers SE-600 & Brothers PE-800) METAL BOBBIN-CASE! there is a tiny flathead screw with-a-slit for a tiny flathead screwdriver (I used an eye-glasses screwdriver). In order to TIGHTEN the bobbin tension, turn that screw CLOCKWISE 1/4 turn (some folk turn 1/2). Think of this simply as CLOCKWISE-TIGHTENS/ COUNTER-CLOCKWISE LOOSENS. Now that you've turned 1/4 turn to tighten, pause. I say pause because now is a good time to rerun the same bobbin tension test as mentioned above. It should drop slowly. For a bobbin that drops too quickly that means it's too loose. So, turn screw 1/4 turn COUNTER-CLOCKWISE (loosens) then as I stated this a good time to rerun the same bobbin tension test as mentioned above. There is another bobbin test on RUclips called "Bobbin Tension Drop Test". Hope this helped.

    a lil off topic, but is the carriage supposed to have slight wobble? example, if you find the little rubber wheel at the end of the carriage arm where it rolls on the surface of the carriage unit, are you able to slightly lift? or is it supposed to be completely stiff?
