I can't tell you how long I have been trying to make my old hand-me-down machine work correctly. Years! I'm a quilter and use the embroidery machine for labels- which have been my most disliked part of making quilts. Tonight it worked right! Thank you for your excellent tutorial!
Thank you so much. You are excellent in your tutorial. I have researched three days this information for my new Brother SN 2850d sewing/embroidery machine. There is no other Brother UTUB support to train beginners how to thread it and other training that I can understand & utilize. I will be using your Blog or whatever you call it. Have a blessed holiday weekend and chat soon again. 😊
you are awesome thank you for showing me this, I ordered mine on eBay today so I am going to save this video so when it gets here I know what I am doing. Keep up the good work!
Just double checking mine, had issues about a year and a half ago, it seems ok. My perfect tension reads as 1.5 (literally on the dial where the black ends after the 2) not sure why it isn't 3 or 2, but it works and that's all that matters I guess. My original issue was that when it shipped, apparently the tension wheel popped out of place entirely. I had to open it up and actually put it in its proper place.
Sorry for all the questions im sure im going to ask but i just received an SE630 and afraid to take it out of the box. Are these two machines similar to use/setup? How did the machine know you were going to use black thread, or did you already pre program it? Its hard to find videos on these types of machines. Im glad i found this video.
Try Googling "Brother SE600 vs SE630" My SE600 is able to identify thread colors by the stitch program. Keep in mind that the color on the machine just shows area to be embroidered... you can load any color thread you want. IF your SE630 has a return policy give it a try! I just use test fabric to try out onboard patterns and custom ones I made. HAVE FUN! Be Blessed, DTG
@@DavidTGould Ahh thank you! Ihave gone to the Brother website but didnt have much luck. However I wont give up lol. I learn better by visuals rather than reading a manual but ive learned how to be more patient when it comes to sewing/embroidery machines lol. Mine looks very similar to yours. Wish me luck 😊
Thank you very much for your video …i ve just bought my machine and practising with you ..i just have a problem about the paterns in usb doent show in my machine …is there any special program i must buy or i can load any picture ?
Lift needle up arm... I start at the top... there is a resistance wheel... try putting that on #3... there is a sewing speed setting... slow it to middle lower setting... next, is your thread binding at the spool? (I use smaller cap or no cap) next feed by number through machine you should not feel resistance while loading to the point of auto threading needle... once you auto thread you can (easy does it) pull thread smoothly through (may not be recommended but it is the only way I know to check) IF the thread spools off from the top smoothly with very slight drag / resistance top thread should be ready... next check bottom thread bobbin for loading / feeding... I recommend factory wound lower bobbins starting out to be sure they are wound evenly. (be sure to watch loading direction) lastly... try simple straight sewing stitch either using touch pad or pre-set BASIC embroidery pattern on simple piece of material like old t-shirt or cloth napkin with hoop and basic stabilizer. lower you needle arm... light goes green. start and run for short 3 - 4 second burst(s) then longer if ok... LISTEN to your machine... it should run and sound super quite and smooth with no "hammering" or banging noise. STOP... lift up needle arm (light turns red) gently move your material back and forth under needle (be careful not to get your finger under needle) upper and lower thread should be loose enough to move material just a little up / down / side to side. IF your thread is binding it will be too tight to move material pretty quickly. IF it is tight using tweezers gently tug on upper and lower thread... binding one is your issue. Keep in mind there are other factors: needle, material, computer pattern programming stitching too tight, cheap thread (tug on thread does it snap under little to no pressure?) These machines are awesome once you get the basics down pat.
Greetings, I should be receiving a SE625 next week. Question. Typically how much thread comes with a New brother unit or where can I purchase the correct embroidery thread?
Hi David. I just found this video as I am having a major problem. When I try to embroider, no matter what color I use for my top thread, all I get is the white bobbin thread. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Love the new Chanel name! I have a question, if I wanted to do the cat in a tea cup embroider on the se600 (option #001) but wanted to skip one of the middle steps (say step 3 that shows 704 color and for 3 min) is that possible?? Thanks in advance!
Sorry for delay... just found your question. Yes the SE600 has a +/- "button" that allows you to move forward or backward from your last stitch... If you look on upper right of touch screen (when pattern is ready to embroider - green light) you will see each color and the time it will take to stitch out. So... IF you wanted to skip (or go back) a color (step) you can use the +/- then press the +spool to the right to move forward or the -spool to the right to move backward. Hope this helps. Be Blessed, DTG
I have a se625 an the check an rethread the upper thread screen come on after about 10 to 12 stitches no matter how much i rethread or change my needle, what do you think i might be doing wrong ?
I have been sampling different stabilizers within fabrics, and I’m getting puckering when I do embroidery. I also have the same sewing machine I have tried tension settings I have put a new needle in. I’ve tried different stabilizers and I just keep getting puckering.
My machine is embroidering very sloppy all of a sudden. The H look like M etc. What could be this issue? I tried changing thread & needle and I use a stabilizer.
Sorry to hear. Did you change anything? Thread, bobbin, material or needle recently? Are you having same problem with other patterns?Have you rethreaded machine and bobbin? (May want to try another) Sounds to me like there may not be enough tension on thread) IF you don't get it you are welcome to send images of front and back of embroidery.
hmmm... I don't know for sure... Are you using pre-wound bobbins? the lower bobbin case has tension settings... it could be that you do not have enough tension from the bottom IF the top tension is not adjusting the amount of showing thread. I will try to find video showing bobbin tension adjustment. Be Blessed, DTG
video here shows bobbin case tension adjustment. be careful to adjust correct screw... video will start around 18 minute mark: ruclips.net/video/d6rPZgPDKxI/видео.html Hope this helps. Be Blessed, DTG

Best tutorial I've seen yet
Thank you so much, very easy to understand, specially, that you show a step by step, awesome job... thank you.
Thank you so much for posting the video I have been looking for! Much appreciated.
This is good for beginners like me that don’t read but instead would rather learn by experience and RUclips

congratulations on purchase... sorry for delayed response... I use Amazon: www.amazon.com/s?k=brother+se600+thread&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
do you have the link for the bobbins?
the best information, thank you
Can we use a 40w on top and for bobbin too or does the bobbin have to be 60w?

May need to use embroidery stabilizer underneath.
Adjust your tension wheel. Always use a stabilizer.

I change the needle and since then the sweing machine is not threading the thread into the needle.
I had to replaced the needle threader , it works now.
thank you so much
Thanks 🙂
