Thank you for this video very helpful. My niece brought me her machine to see if I can figure out how to monogram her little girls clothes. What is the largest letter size I can get out of the fonts when using three initials? Thank you
It's been some time BUT I believe you can click on the individual letters OR all of them as a group and expand them to any size within the 4x4 hoop. From my experience stitch count will be effected as you increase size so try on sample similar fabric prior to committing nice shirt. Hope this helps... Be Blessed, DTG
I change the color of each letter. This way after each letter is sewn it automatically cuts the thread and you dont have to cut jump threads. I just keep the black spool in for each letter.
Thank you so much for making this video, I have searched RUclips for this topic only to find tutorials were people already have the monogram and are embroidering it.
Thanks so much !! Just got a new SE 600 ,followed all of your instructions, and it turned out very good!! You give very good and detailed instructions. Please continue making these kind of videos.
Typically just top... sometimes I match (or change) bottom color if it can be seen. White and black are my most used lower bobbin colors. Be Blessed, DTG
I believe "grouping" letters would work as well... for a single project may be easiest to do individually. IF you do not find... feel free to let me know and I will fire my SE600 up to figure it out! Be Blessed, DTG
Great Video! I am very new to the embroidering field and I was needing some help on monograms and such. Do you have to have editing software to download a monogram onto a USB to use on your machine? Or can you just download the design and your machine lets you pick your letters? Look forward to hearing back. Thanks again for this video!
Not exactly sure how you are laying out but machine will adjust based on how many letters... "Cutting" letters allowed me to make my preferred spacing vs. what the machine provided (some letters left more white space). hope this helps. Be Blessed, DTG
This is the VERY FIRST video I have ever watched that shows how to SPLIT the font, switching the letter size to L from M at this stage of the pattern. Very informative! Now all I need to know is how to make my fonts BOLDER when embroiderying a word or name. I have an LB5000. Not too much info out there for my machine. Most everything I find is for a PE800, which has a larger hoop. I do have a 5x7 hoop I have never used and don't know if I could embroidery anything larger than a 4x4.
I purchased the SE600 on January 13th (from your site online) and returned it as it was a defective machine. I received a replacement Jan 29th. Just like the previous machine this new machine also does not have the "add" button feature as shown on your video re: basic embroidery 2-01 (1.23 minutes in the video) as shown for the SE600 model. It is a very simple video and I followed it step by step. In order to ensure that I, had not made the mistake I reviewed the video exactly 10X. I pressed the "set" button (as directed by your tech person with the first machine) and no "add" button appears. Then I had family members review the video as well and attempt to find the "add" button. None of them could find it either because the "add" button is not on either machines I have received. This is the exact same flaw as in the first machine. Something is wrong with the software on this model. Maybe it is the factory.
Having had some time now with the machine the best I can suggest is purchasing software. I use Brother PE-10. (it is an older version so pricing was way less expensive when direct downloaded and has a LOT of pre-programmed fonts that the Brother machines stitch out beautifully). Note: I did not download cheapest price, even though program should be the same... I searched for proven seller with lots of positive reviews and located within the USA (my country). Your credit card information will be required. PLEASE be careful. Be Blessed, DTG
Greatest explanation of setting machine to use embroidery file. Love watching your channel. Keep making these videos. All I need is to find out how to transfer designs to Flash drive. Thanks
Your comments and encouragement are greatly appreciated. Brother SE600 works with .pes files. 1st you download .pes file of design you want to your computer ( I created separate folders to store like type files for finding them easier later). 2nd you copy the .pes file to a USB thumb drive. (files are relatively small... USB thumb drive does not have to have large storage capacity) 3rd remove thumb drive from computer and insert into right side of your SE600. Turn your SE600 on. Touch the touch screen a few times to reach Home screen. Touch USB symbol bottom right. Touch .pes design you want to embroider. IF you do not see pattern because you have a lot on the thumb drive, touch the right arrow button below the touch screen to flip through pages of .pes designs. Hope this helped, DTG
Hi loved your tutorial just want to say that you can do monograms with the monagram font on the brother you just press add then choose your other letter.
True. I think the monagram font setting limits font choice? I also wanted to share how to resize individual letters using only the touch screen. Be Blessed! DTG
Born Winna, moved your request to the front... ruclips.net/video/aEfoKBNC4Mo/видео.html ... click: mbroidr.com for .pes Brother SE600 download file(s) of pink cancer ribbon. I HOPE these meet your expectations. Be Blessed, DTG
Thank you. You video was extremely helpful. I just got the LB5000 because the SE600 was interminably back ordered. I believe the screen works the same though.
Hey. ..I'm also about to start making designs and print them out on the single needle embroidery machine..just needed a little help...I wanna know how I could design it..I have seen your pink cat tutorial but I want it in detail of how to use the software and make digital designs...need a demo...your videos seems basic and easy to understand...so if you could...help me out please...
Muhammad... I am REALLY new at this... the best tutorials I found so far: ruclips.net/video/1ecjbFkzgqw/видео.html are pretty extensive. Hope this helps.
So glad I found you! New sub here and ALL your videos have helped me. Finally took my se 600 out of the box. As a newbie, what software do you recommend that’s affordable?
Just a quick question. When you turn on the machine, and tap the screen to get started, should the needle shift the right and back to the left with a loud noise? I'm wondering if my new machine is ok
tricky question... I am new as well. My suggestion would be to use touch screen with included software while learning how the machine works. Then moving on to software like: Brother PE-10 to learn how to create .pes (required format) files. Watch lots of RUclips videos and please check back with any additional questions. mBroidr.com for more information and free upload .pes files. Be Blessed, DTG
Martha, I am currently using Brother PE Design 10. This appears to be an older version BUT has cost effective purchase options for a beginner. Note: Digitizing has a learning curve. RUclips videos are available: ruclips.net/video/1ecjbFkzgqw/видео.html is one extensive example. Check a few of these out to get an idea of what you are getting into with embroidery image digitizing. Hope this helped. Be Blessed (and patient) David Gould

Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much!
Thank you! Your directions were great!
This was an amazing video. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m definitely about to go practice.😊😊😊
Hi I want to know what usb you use.. to put in your se600 embroidery machine please.. I'm having problems
USBs are the same so that should not be your issue. My guess is the format you have the program saved.
Also possible IF your USB storage drive is too big. Try using a smaller storage drive.
Out of all tutorial videos for the brother se600 you’re are the most helpful thank you so much.
Thank you so much. Your video really helped me with my SE630 which is a similar machine. I embroidered a pencil case with a name.
Do we have to change both top & bottom thread for each color or only top ?
Typically just top... sometimes I match (or change) bottom color if it can be seen. White and black are my most used lower bobbin colors. Be Blessed, DTG
How can you rotate the 3 letters from horizontal to vertical without having to do 1 letter at a time?
Thanks I learned some new things.

@@DavidTGould Thanks for the feedback. God Bless
I really needed this video. I had no clue how to add additional letters. Very helpful.
Great video, thank you. So are you saying also that you don't have a space bar? So if I was doing two names and wanted to separate each one?

How can you add the frames around the letters? There are a few in there.
Thank you David! Can you please help with getting script fonts / names from USB to the machine? I was told a program is needed. Any tips / tricks?

Your welcome... I am out here learning with you Ali!
please rethread your needle as it is not in number 6 the bar in front of the top of the needle and will never sew as clean of stitching that way!
I appreciate the tutorial
Thank you! The touch screen does have some pretty cool features. Every time I use it I seem to find more. Enjoy! DTG

yes. grunt is loud but normal for mine. also the hoop carriage moves. kind of a wake up for the machine.
Thank you soooo much!👍🏾
