Man, WOW! As a scientist I loved your videography style. Every time I asked in my head, "ok but why X choice" you would stop and explain the odd behavior with either an experiment or well thought out response. Well done
Just made this, and it is by far the best baked protein dessert I have ever made. Every time I have tried to create some sort of protein cake/cookie/muffin/whatever, it always turns out so dry and honestly just not that good. This was moist with a perfect fluffy cake texture. Thanks Felu! Sidenote, I doubled the recipe and put it into a 5 x 9 deep dish and did end up having to cook it for about 10 extra minutes
I think you definitely should've incorporated fresh orange zest as opposed to just the orange juice. it'll yield a much more deep and rich orange flavor as opposed to the juice of half an orange. I would've done the zest either as a garnish on top of the cake, or zest an orange to mix in the frosting
I'm gonna be honest, I have that step in my script but forgot to do it and realized it after the cake was done. So I just added some on top for my thumbnail
Great recipe!! Made it without the orange, but still added cinnamon. Also added some Swerve powdered sugar to the frosting with some vanilla extract for a sweeter flavor. Will 100% be making again
Great explanations of things! (Size of dish, time and temp differences, baking soda reactions, etc). I would substitute anything “fat free” w the regular but besides that, can’t wait to try!
Nice recipe. Looks tasty. Would consider reading up on the recently released research on erythritol (feb. 2023) and its effect on platelets. nih has a nice sunmary on it.
Good inspiration. But each cheesecake has 130g of Protein ... just as a side note. You don't need all these artificial powders. Replace the regular flour by almond flour and the sugar with xylith or erythrit and almost every classic receipe will work as high protein/low carb.
Is it possible to replace cream cheese with ricotta cheese? Where I live there isn't any fat free cream cheese, with the lowest fat ones being around 10-15g total fat per 100g available.
Great recipe. Do you think there would be any problems making a big bag with all the dry ingredients (obviously multiplying all quantities accordingly) and having a sort of "ready mix" like those pancake mixes they sell in stores?
That is actually a great idea. Without the protein powder I would absolutely say yes but I'm honestly not sure how protein powder react when mixed and stored for a longer time
You can totally do it. I make a dry mix of protein brownies and another for pancakes and it's so much simpler than making everyday all from scratch. You just need to mix well all the dry ingredients and know how much you need of dry to wet ingredients. Good luck!
I love your videos they really help me losing weight i lost in the last one and a half months 5kg thank you. Also unrelated bc i just noticed, but are you from Germany?
Just completely remove any of the orange things and add some peanut butter powder. Add some banana slices at the end (optional) and mash a banana in the cake batter.
Thanks for all the hard work and great videos. May I request, if at all possible, to also include the total weight of the food in the tile (or description). I mean 105grams of protein is not complete information. Unless we know what the total weight of the cake is. Like 105g protein in a 300gram cake is impressive, but 105g protein in a 1500gram cake is not. Or maybe instead grams, we can look at percentages, like this is a 15% protein cake vs 20% and so on :) Thanks again for great videos.
Hi Felu, do you know any other brand of cottage cheese that can be used (I don't have that particular brand in my country)? or can we in this case just use any we find?
Bestellen, oder bei DM, Rossmann oder Kaufland. Hab es auch schon mal in einem Check-In gesehen.I Falls es in deiner Filiale nicht im Sortiment ist kann man auch fragen ob sie es einem bestellen.
I add Whey, Casine and Sugar at equal amounts. And you can add 10g of butter or armoa oil to the wet ingredients. Makes it a well balanced version of a diet food.
i don't get the point of putting protein powder in food. like if we wanted to have protein powder to fulfill our protein requirements we can just have protein powder in a shake form! why would we put it in a cake??? if anyone knows the reasoning behind this please explain.
So that you can have a protein cake? The protein powder is a replacement for some of the flour, it makes it a lower-calorie desert which also gives you protein. Compare that to drinking a protein shake and eating a regular cake separately.
@@axoltl1 ohh so filling your stomach somewhat while simultaneously it not being calorie dense but protein dense? okay makes sense. I'd still prefer recipes that have protein without protein powder because i struggle to get a lot of protein in since I'm vegetarian and also don't like the taste of eggs but could get behind eggs being added to something else! also protein powders aren't cheap :')
@@myfavouritecolorisgreen it's kind of difficult to make desserts with a decent amount of protein in them without using whey protein powder. Maybe something based on Greek yoghurt, skyr or cream cheese could work. Apart from that as a vegetarian or vegan it is difficult to get in high protein meals for a low amount of calories. Tofu is probably your best bet for something like that. You can just use meat-based recipes and substitute tofu for meat
Can you make these things, (cookies, pancakes, sponge cakes....) with CREATINE powder? ...Also my aim is do decimate carbs, so I'll find a way around flour

Does the whole cake have a 105 g of grams of protein or each peice
Is this recipe in the cookbook? I can't find it
This is delicious - I zested the orange and added half to the batter and half to the frosting.
This comment has 20 grams of protein
Jajajajaja
Macros looking good now, and I have you to thank for it.

I made this cake dough into muffin mold, 8 muffin were made today, only one left on counter now😂😂😂crazy macro and crazy taste. Thumbs up!
Whipping the whites to stiff peaks and gently incorporating in the end will result in a fluffier and airier cake.
Thanks for a great new information about whey and casein protein difference! ❤️
Glad you liked it :)
This is genuinely insane, I made it today... hands down the best protein dessert I've ever eaten, thank you mate!! 😋😋
I did add some orange zest and raw cacao to the frosting as well, good addition

A couple tsp of white vinegar in the wet ingredients can help prevent gluten development, I learned this making pie crusts. Can't taste it either.
Oh really? Thak you I will try this next time I make a cake

What do you think of using whole wheat flour? It won't taste or look as good, but it will be healthier.
I need around 150-170g of protein a day while training. I struggle to eat enough food with my small stomach. Def trying this out.
Love your whey/casein breakdown! Subbed
we can not forget that some whey have xhatam gum.... that make all the diferent.
I can’t use dairy based protein. Will this work with rice and pea protein?

Is there a lactose-free whey-free casein-free flourless erythritol-free baking-free cake-free version of this cake? I’m wagan and can
only eat water.
What quantities of whey + banana would u recommend to use if we dont have casein
46g whey and 1 Banana
If I'm unable to eat coconut what can I use instead?
I would leave it out, it will be fine without it
If I have chocolate protein powder, What would I need to replace to make it taste good with it 👀

But doesn't the heat destroy protein
Felu, great video! I love your videos and use them for weight loss. By the way, for cakes you might want to say “moist” instead of “juicy”.😊
Thank you for the correction, I appreciate this.
Anyway to do this without protein powder? Can we just use more of the flour to compensate? Still getting protein from the cheese and the yogurt.
YOu can leave it out but the texture will be different. You also need something to add moisture like a banana
That looks amazing 😋
well that was an easy subscribe. thanks!
Thanks for the sub!
Stevia Glycerite supposedly has no aftertaste. Have you tried it?

a silly question: should I count wheat protein in my daily intake?
Yes
Of Course, Protein Powder.....I had such high hopes
If I want sugar in this cake how much should I put in? I’m here for the protein but I want it to taste as good as possible too

"Flour isn't bad" ...... YES it really is !!
i think if u would blend the cottage cheese you'd have a better texture
I tried both and I like the nonblended more but you can totally blend the cottage cheese
How much sodium?
Where can you get egg whites in Germany? I don’t see them at edeka 😅
DM, Rossman, Kaufland. Wenn man nachfrägt können es eigentlich alle liefern. Viele Filialen nehmen es nicht gerne weil es zu wenige Kunden gibt.
