    I have 1000X more respect for Fultz than I do for players like Simmons or Whiteside - He had a rare, freak injury that took too long to diagnose while still irritating it with every misdiagnosed rehab. Still, he put his head down and grinded through the process to become a decent player. He did EVERYTHING he could but his shoulder just never recovered.

    • @JKLauderdale
      @JKLauderdale Месяц назад +6

      @@paijo1503 Did you see what Miami paid him? Then, after getting his bag, he failed to show and complained that he was being left out of the games... Whiteside was a NIGHTMARE for us, especially when you consider we were still dealing with Bosh's 5yr, 2x/month contract. Not blaming Bosh, SHTF with his career and it's NOT his fault. Still, that set us back for a few years.
      I was SCREAMING for them to push Bam fwd in the rotation. They FINALLY did so in 2018? 2017?, due to some sorta injury that sidelined Whiteside - That whole post-LBJ era of Whiteside, Waiters and Winslow was a fkn nightmare for us. IMO, we'd have been better off keeping and developing Precious and slotting him at 5 while letting Bam play a stretch-4 role.

    • @jerry25a
      @jerry25a Месяц назад +7

      Fultz NEVER had an injury. He has neurogenic-Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. That is cause by a nerve compression in his right thoracic outlet at the base of his neck.
      He never had a shoulder injury. That was a misdiagnosis since the steroid injection he received made no improvement.
      Physical therapy helped only so much.
      But now it looks like he has a chronic knee issue, which is the real reason why no one wants to take a chance.

    • @jerry25a
      @jerry25a Месяц назад +4

      As far as the cause of his n-TOS, since it began during the summer after he was drafted, it could have resulted from too much weight lifting or something improper during getting ready for the NBA.

      There was no hype for 2013 draft, 2017 draft was hyped up big time. People had way bigger expectations for Fultz. Personally I think Fultz isn't a bigger bust than Bennet, Fultz was legit a starter for Orlando and looked like a guard who can get minutes anywhere, but I can see why someone would think Fultz is the biggest bust.

      It sucks. The situation can be fixed with communication. It’s just that when your a first pick you either leave the nba or get a bigger contract when your first is up. Very very rarely do those players start taking very small short contracts when they were a first pick. So they needed to communicate with him. And temper his expectations and let him the contracts won’t be fat like that. But we still want you to be here and prove yourself.

      Lonzo will be in training camp. He's been participating in 5v5 with young players since August. Donovan says they have no expectations but to bring him in slowly.

    He always showed sparks, that’s the sad part. Even his rookie year he put up triple doubles, showed his athleticism, defensive ability and was great at the rim, just couldn’t shoot anymore. Without that injury he would’ve definitely been exactly what we wanted him to be

    Overseas would be best option for him to find consistency. Less games, less wear and tear on the body. Hes earned a fuckton more money than any of us will see, he should focus on getting his form and health right, then come back to the nba. Look at kris nunn in europe rn! He could live good in euope, get a couple mil, and get right. Gind a solid french spnaish italian german adriatic greek or turkish team and ball tf out young blood. We believe in you!

    Celtics draft move wasn't strange, it was a calculated risk knowing the Sixers wouldnt take Tatum. Worked out pretty well not just for Tatums career arch but also they got their guy plus draft capital.

    I remember just looking at magic salaries and seeing Fultz and Isaac at the top for so long they had to have some of the luckiest contracts either cause both of them had some promising years right before and just never lived up to either of their salaries the whole way through (I know isaac was good last year but he was out of commission for 90% of that contract)
