In my community, we call him "little Westbrook". He showed some flashes of Point Guard potential. But his physical and ball hogging style are like Westbrick 😅
All I want is to be the Talen Horton-Tucker of my career - overhyped, overpaid, not too harshly criticized, and mostly forgotten to enjoy my money in peace. Shout out to the legendary THT!
Rob getting Russ spoiled everything. There was no need to choose between Alex or THT as there was no need to get Russ ( I love him btw). It just wasn't a good fit. We could've run it back, if we were making any trade it should have been for a centre as Gasol was aging
As Laker fans we overhype nearly every young guy who can score more than 10pts once in a while. Xavier Henry, Ryan Kelly, Jodie Meeks, Kendall Marshall. Laker fans thought those guys were steals at the time they played for the team. Right now its Max Christie, the kid look like a solid player but i've seen some ridiculous comparisons made by Laker fans for him.
As a jazz fan who's watched him for the past two years, he's shown flashes and made some impressive plays, but unfortunately the expectations put on him by the lakers haven't helped his perceived value, it's not impossible that he develops better passing and a somewhat decent shot, he just needs to show it reasonably soon in Chicago.
I really appreciate the nuance you bring to your analysis and overall tone (not just in this video but others as well, like in Trae Young one for example). It's refreshing compared to other nba content
He looked amazing at times. I thought the future of the Lakers backcourt was THT and Caruso. His touch right around the basket with those super long arms reminded me of Ceballos.
I remember back then, those social media haters were saying they should had traded Bron away instead of THT and develop THT because he's younger. Haterade or Lakers fan really something else.
He's young and still developing. Like most young players who enter the league developing a consistent 3 pt shot can make or break a career. Other than his poor shooting THT has all the tools to last in the NBA.
His decision making is also very suspect. As a jazzman, if he ever got the ball, the possession would end in a shot or a turnover like 70% of the time. Could he be good? Sure, but if he didn't improve on the actively tanking jazz, I think he's cooked.
@tbupnexttruths1355 If he can't even outplay an inefficient scorer and defensive liability whose not in the Jazz's future, then he's not ever going to breakout. At this point, he wouldn't even take Cam Thomas's spot in the starting lineup or even Gary Trent jr. He's a career reserve and there's no team in the league he could start for

He attended Simeon HS in Chicago, after D.Rose and Jabari Parker. Also it was a down year for Chicago hoops, he stood out and had the spotlight. However, if you have eyes, you knew he wasn't burgeoning star. Love the kid and his family, but LeBron built this monster hype and tried to justify it.
To be honest, he's like a bigger version of Eric Gordon, with long wingspan. I hooe he could develop more of his outside shooting and be a much better defender so that he could last long in the league.

He showed some flashes of Point Guard potential. But his physical and ball hogging style are like Westbrick 😅
And I never understood why they chose to keep him above everybody else. Only reason I could think of is because THT is signed with Klutch sports
They have nothing on the Cavs. They declined an offer of Amar'e for JJ Hickson, then traded Hickson for Omri Casspi
Lakers have the worst front office that handle the team roster.
