He's injured and won't be able to play. He blows off team execs, ignores his teammates, and gaslights the fans. It is a pattern. The difference is the Spurs realized he doesn't really want to play and got rid of him. The Clips were too desperate and are trying to hold on to their false hope.
The Spurs medical staff was right. He has a degenerative condition that'll never be right. He and the media blamed the Spurs and he forced his way out. I'm waiting for the media to apologize to the Spurs for all the bad mouthing they did. Of course that won't happen.

kawhi kinda fucked up on a few accounts as well: 1. he shoud've declined the max and taken less and said to the organization "im taking less even though i'm worth the max because I wont be able to play as much as a typical star player, I need to properly rehab and load mange for the length of the contract or until im fully 100 percent." did he have the integrity to do that, no.
      2. if im forced to play when im not fully recovered from any injury i will go to the players association and file a formal complaint where 3rd party doctors may get involved to asses the injury and rehabilitation procedure and length .... again he didnt do shit like this, if he was smart and had more integrity he would have laid that out from the very beginning after being in that situation in san antonio

@@101noz101 for sure, my point is he should have stayed in Toronto… he really didn’t need to search out any other situation. They had the right to demand to get what they paid for as well.

    Oh boy, where to begin...
What makes this whole thing even more insane is the fact Clippers brought in Jerry West as a special consultant to help them fix their entire franchise. He taught them how to draft properly, develop and build their roster; his wisdom was a much needed addition to a team who desperately needed it. I don't know if Lawrence Frank is disregarding it for the sake of job security, but the theme overall has been "love." Clipper's greatest weakness is wanting to be loved, respected and worshiped like Lakers; their greatest fear is irrelevancy. Every time Clippers did something wrong and it was reported on, the meme of "Same ol' Clippers" rears its ugly head. Even with a new good owner in Steve Ballmer, the feelings of jealousy, envy and vengeance remain, and that is the result of being under the thumb of Donald Sterling for decades; Clippers have simply inherited Sterling's behavior.
For a person like myself who has kept an eye on this franchise ever since the Chris Paul veto in 2011, I worry about the Clipper's future. If Shelton wins his case, there's no telling what the NBA might do.

Kawhi is barely ever healthy so they fired him. Every team so far has had to walk on eggshells around Kawhi & accept his unwarranted demands. It’s his job to play basketball at the day, and the Clippers clear as day patience with him is visible to anybody with a working pair of eyes. They even extended him! He gets all the say in if he plays or not, doesn’t do back to backs, hires his friends, and family. Kawhi should be ashamed of this guy he brought around the Clippers organization after all they’ve done for Kawhi, and they continue paying him and treating him like a tier 1 superstar who plays when it’s clear Kawhi hasn’t lived up to the bill the Clippers are paying for his services. The least he could do is help mentor some of the younger guys with all his free time, and to find a way to contribute to the team if he can’t do it on the court, but he struggles to do that as well.

If a player with this kind of injury history, he should not be paid anywhere near the max because it cripples a franchise. The clippers literally can’t do anything because of lack of Kawhi’s availability and the salary cap. So because kawhi is ALWAYS injured and can’t play a full season and the playoffs he should have taken a pay cut. For his situation alone, I side with the franchise. Spending a lot to get him for him to be broken down and for Kawhi to command near to max money is WILD!

The man's played one meaningful season in the last 8 years and people still expect him to do things. Just let him be. Clips were absolutely genius for trading for PG and signing Leonard. But after a few years of that stuff, they should have given up and just traded both guys. I mean hindsight is 20/20 but it looks like clips made all the wrong choices since then. Trading for guys they shouldn't have, and not trading guys they should have. They are now stuck in limbo, no present, no future, new stadium to watch James Harden who's too old and too slow to even turn a corner at the local YMCA pickup game. For couple of years, all we said was, if this clippers group can stay healthy, they are the best team in the league. Well this is the first year where that is no longer true. Even if Leonard and Harden play 82 games each, they are at best first-round exit team.

I'm curious... was it just an acl? I tore my acl, also my mcl and pcl, and 2 meniscus tears. My injury was always referred to as an acl injury, even tho it was more complicated than that. I fucked my knee up April 2022, had surgery July 2022, and spent the next year in Physio. Last year I was able to start gently running and doing mild layup and very small jumps. The improvement from last year to this year is huge, for better than I was expecting it to last year. But I'm still not 100%, and likely won't be. But I do feel like another year from now I feel that much closer to pre injury.
So in my experience if it is a knee injury involving the acl, medical staff usually just referred to it as an acl injury despite it being a stage 3 ligament injury. Is this what's going on with his injury? Did he tear more than his acl? Because rehabbing the acl with the other ligaments intact is much quicker than rehabbing the acl without strong supporting ligaments.
He's still scared of his knee. I see it everytime he goes up.
