Absolutely amazing pet owner right here!!! Just brought my big girl home from the vets after a similar gash on the pad of her paw, I hadn't a clue how to help her with the cone, and you have definitely put my mind at ease, thanks so much!!! Love to you and chubs from Ireland
Much love to you and your family. I hope she is doing good and heels quickly. That makes me hurt thinking about her pad. I know that kind of injury has to be difficult because they want to walk and run. Not to mention going for potty breaks. Again I wish her well and she will be running again soon.
What a good boy! So cute. This was a great video. Thank you
Thank you so much! Chubbs is such a good boy and love him. You have a great day, Tony
Great tips. I can tell you love your dog and he loves you. He was very patient during your tutorial!
Thank you. He is such a good dog. He is very loved and gives it back in so many ways. If one of your pets is in one I wish them well. Take care, Tony
I always thought these cones were put on them to protect other dogs
Today, seeing a dog so sad walking around with that thing I understood why.
Canine Keeper, thank you for the awesome love you give your boy.
Thank you! I do love this guy, he is my buddy. You take care, Tony
Great tip on scratching your dogs head. I didn’t think of that. We r in our first hour.
Hope everything goes well with your furry family member. ❤️
My families three month old, Boston terrier had a bad breakout from a bee sting. She came out with a cone from the vet. We’ve never experienced anything like this. Great tips!
Hello, I know that had to be scary! That happened to us twice. We keep Benadryl around now just in case. I hope she is doing ok. Take care and thank you for letting me know this has helped. Tony
Thank you for this video! You helped me to know how to help my sweet little guy! He has to wear his for 2 weeks! And I love that you truly love and care about your dog 🥰

It's my and my dog's first time dealing with a cone 😮 thank-you so much for tips ❤
I hope for a speedy recovery for your loved one. ❤️
Best video didn’t know to watch out for these little things like that. Normally leave them alone. Gonna scratch their can’t reach area for them and clean the cone. That dog should be around on more of your video. Updates.
Thank you so much I am so happy this helped you. Yes Chubbs is my best friend or Son I should say 😆 He does everything with me and so smart and very teachable. He even teaches himself for one instance he wanted to ride with me and went straight to his leash and harness hanging up and gently tapped it 😂 He is still doing great. I hope your loved one is doing well. You take care and have an awesome weekend, Tony
Thank you!

Thanks for the tips! My dog recently had spay surgery and has to wear a cone all the time. I thought I would be able to take it off for meals and sleep but the vet said no. She is eating and sleeping but I do feel sorry for her.
I hope for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 It is so sad when your loved one is going through this and you know they don’t understand what’s going on.

Thank you so much! My dog has to wear the cone because of his eye. He scratched his cornea.
Oh, I hope for a speedy recovery. It’s a good thing you caught it. Take care, Tony

@@HowYouCanDoItToo thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the great video. I’m about to pop a cone on my dog this evening. He had conjunctivitis and scratched around his eye. I tried to get away with an inflatable donut, but it’s not providing enough protection.
Hope he gets better and heals quickly. We tried the inflatable and it definitely didn’t work. You and your pet take care and I feel for you both it’s stressful for both of you. Tony
Our problem is that our dog is so short that he can't get his cone over the bowl. The bottom of the cone keeps hitting the side of the bowl where it meets the floor. We have to take the cone off to give him food and water and also when we walk him outside because the cone will keep hitting the uneven ground and the steps up and down from the deck or front door. The fit of the cone is exactly correct, given by the Vet. Are we missing some tricks here? He's had eye surgery and has to have something to keep that safe and clean. Another issue is that he is deaf so we can't talk sweetly to him to calm him while we're putting the cone on and our hands are invovled in putting the cone on rather than calming him. Can you help us? Thank you.
Hello I am so sorry for late response. Is the cone going way past his nose? If so you might be able to trim the outer part just make sure he can’t get to his eyes. We tried the tube type with Chubbs but because of his wrinkles and loose skin it wouldn’t work. That is was the vet put on him first after eye surgery. The blow up tube is supposed to keep them from scratching their eyes. But I still didn’t like it Incase he would rub his face on something.
Thanks so much for your post. The cone was fitted by Andy's Vet. and is about 3" from his nose, 1" when he's lying down. He had had a soft collar right after his eyelid growth surgery, but somehow the eye still got infected and he was switched to the plastic cone. He had a difficult weekend (got the cone on Friday) with panting and shaking, then lethargy and some vomiting. I talked to his Vet this morning and she told us to take the cone off and bring him in this afternoon. Hopefully his eye has improved enough to leave the cone off altogether but the eye is still somewhat infected so probably not.
The inflatable collar is a problem in that, in order to keep him from rubbing his eye, the collar would still take up too much space to allow him to move about without the roll dragging and pulling on the floor. We'll see what the Vet. has to say this afternoon. Poor little dude, we adopted him 3 years ago and he's the sweetest little dog in the world. It's sad to see him so miserable.

Is that a Shar-Pei? Either way he look amazing even with a cone.
Thank you 😊 Yes, Chubbs is a Shar-Pei. He is my best friend ❤️
I woke up this morning and my dog's cone was off of his head and I don't think I can get him to keep it on. And he needs surgery on his paw he might just have to be put down and sucks
I’ve heard of people putting a harness on there dog then fasten the cone to the harness. You can probably use strips of cloth and run it around the collar of cone then fasten it in multiple places around the con to the harness. You definitely need to give lots of love. Also ask the vet because they know what surgery is happening. I am so sorry you are going through this. I just try to think outside the box sometimes. They should make a harness cone where there’s no was it can come off. Please let me know how he’s doing. Take care, Tony
@@HowYouCanDoItToo I have an update on my dog. Turns out I didn't know that you could feed the regular collar through the cone collar and that's what I did and he hasn't been able to get it off since and already he's healing.. he wasn't originally my dog I just adopted him because he wasn't getting the care he deserves. . But his skin's healing and his paw will have surgery in a week or two.. he has a giant lump mass in between his pads on his right paw. Keep him in your prayers thank you.
