My dog is half shi zu half toy poodle and is 8months old. She’ll be getting spayed next month. I was thinking about getting her this thin and soft cat collar and a human baby onesie for her. I know there are dog onesies specifically for dogs that have gotten spayed or neutered but they are much more overpriced than just buying a human onesie. She only weighs 4.5 pounds so it might best for a small dog.
Don’t get inflatable if you have a medium size dog. It only works for SMALL dogs. It would’ve been nice to know that but don’t waste your money like I did.
The last one shown has a rather short cone rdius so that the nose is longer than the cone. Next size up was too big on the neck. The medical recovery suit rubbed on his neutering incision and made it raw - so we are back to square one with the vets ( no collar loops) plastic cone. It is hard to fit. Once you get that velcro in place and think it fits, it doesn't.
These all look great as long as your dog is allowed to paw at their face, or rub their face against the rug or furniture, but if you need something for when you get your pup fixed I went with the one piece bodysuit that covers up their crotch and had snaps. I had the foresight to buy two knowing she'd pee herself, she being a puppy. I have a Australian Shepherd & Standard Poodle mix, she's a blue eyed phantom, 50 pound 2 years old, & at the time she was 8 weeks old & less than 20 lbs & in less than a half of an hour after getting her home before I put the bodysuit on her she chewed away a quarter of the thick heavy plastic cone the vet put on her. ... talking 10 to 15 minutes. ...I think I just saw a cute little puppy & forget BOTH of her breeds she is mixed with are built for speed hunting dog. ...and talk about smart, she has an english vocabulary that you'd normally only see with a dog over a decade in age, & this was back when she was only 1.5 years old. ...I think when I'm sleeping she been logging onto the Internet & googling Quantum Physics for some light reading. The only problem I have with her is she is a phantom & in the house at night I can not see her in a dimly lit room, I need to buy two (so I can keep on in a battery recharger) a low light - long lasting - light up dog collar so I stop almost stepping on her, before I hurt her or myself. I bought a few light up collars from Amazon that are good for walking her at night since I live in a town that only has street lights on at the street intersections, street corners ... but their batteries die to fast, & I need one that will last the night, but I think I have a good idea; to use a to small - useless for the job sell them for, is a clip on light that is rechargeable made for human jogging at night.

Does the inflatable one keep them from licking?
