I just bought a HiCaptain cover for my dog's cage from Amazon to keep him calm. I'm sending it back. When I asked about odor I got a deceiving answer about smell. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN. It also has CANCER WARNINGS ON IT. From the polyester material? No way to wash it out. I suppose the waterproof material is causing the problem. It will make your entire house stink. I can't stomach the smell myself when outside of the cage. I can only imagine what my dog would be going through when sitting in his cage.
