Just to be precise : 2 years ago, you expected 5m+ cars being sold in 2025… if we reach 2m this year that would be a stretch. So you expect x2.5 in 2025 with no new models ? Hold yourself accountable and admit your mistakes… oh also you had a PT for Tesla of more than 1200$ price adjusted at the end of 2023… if you criticize bears as much as you do, digging out some ridiculous projections they had, hold yourself to the same standards.

I’ll add to my comment on the last video.
I’ve had FSD for over a year now. Pretty much since the beginning of this time it has been very, very helpful on the freeway. I also found it generally helpful on city streets but understood scenarios where I would prefer to take over before they occurred. It also felt experimental. However, my wife did not feel comfortable as a passenger on city streets, and so I rarely used it in on them when she was in the car. Even more so when our baby was in the car.
FSD 12 has been a game changer so far. Used it on city streets quite a bit with my wife and child in the car as she is quite comfortable with it most of the time. FSD in the past may have been safe, but 12 feels safe. It is also substantially more capable.
It's important to remember that GM's deliveries went to dealerships, not customers. So their numbers are actually even worse

Producing only 7,000 less vehicles than last year with the Chinese holiday, the Arcin attack at the German factory, the retooling of freemont, in a terrible interest rate environment is super impressive in its own right.
Agreed, if tesla was valued at $400 and this happened, sure drop 40%, but share price is already under $200, talk about over reaction by the market. That said the market can remain irrational longer than you can stay solvent. Fasten your seat belts, it's gonna get rough before it gets better.

You may not know this, but Chinese New Year happens every year in Q1. There was geopolitical conflict last year in Q1. Tesla was retooling last year in Q1. None of that has a meaningful impact on sales vs any previous Q1, and certainly not with the massive glut in inventory Tesla has been carrying for at least two years now. Auto loan rates are modestly higher this year vs Q1 of last year. But Toyota sales are up 20% YOY for Q1. BYD sales are up 13% YOY for Q1. Honda sales are up 20% (17% for American Honda) YOY for Q1. And I do not believe any of them benefit from US government bailouts for EV/PHEV/Hybrids.

As far as the "US Government bailouts" those were literally designed to help Tesla's competition catch up in the US as a pander to the UAW. Tesla just out gamed the US Govt and the competition by moving equipment meant for the Germany facility to the US to take advantage of those subsidies. Do not hate the player, hate the game.

It seems everyone is still relying too heavily on the charts now. Imho, when the ETF's stepped into Crypto it changed the game. The Bitcoin Baby has been born and will grow up fast. The Crypto Market now has a rubber stamp of approval. Wall Street is in the game now and It will become the store of value we have been talking about. The rules are already changing. We would have normally had a corrective retrace by now, yet Bitcoin has been steadily rising. The name of the game is getting out with profit, but when exactly to get out this Super Cycle is going to be a tricky one. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady...managed to grow a nest egg of around 3.4Bitcoin to a decent 18Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Lower interest rates have very little direct impact on car payments. Open a loan calculator and run various scenarios. Interest rate cuts have a huge impact on mortgage payments, freeing up potentially thousands of dollars per year for the consumer, who can then use the money for a car or other purchases.

FSD solved. I got the software for 3 days multiple trips without interventions. The most important: my wife fell safe which its a miracle
It's not fully-solved, but it's DAMNED good. I was very impressed. No interventions here either.
Tesla is far more resilient to adversity than any other manufacturing company. The first obvious example of this was the chip shortage. The most recent: Q1 2024.

Model Y went into production in January 2020. 11 months later stock price hits $166.
What? 11 months after Jan 2020 would be December 2020, and according to charts from Yahoo Finance $TSLA was priced at ~ $235 on December 28 2020. It began that year at ~ $32 on Jan 6 2020.
I bought my first $TSLA in mid-May 2019 at ~ $13 , during Elon's 'production hell' ramping Model 3 at Fremont.

As I see it.... Uber, Lyft and Yellow taxi's are worth about 170 billion = 20% robotaxi in 5 years = 34 billion for FSD opportunity = 6.66 % less from each of the 3 largest taxi vendors. Just in the USA. Once your've tested FSD, would you hail a cab with FSD? swipe, tap, and go, is right around the corner.

What's the trend for overall car sales in China, USA and Europe in Q1 ? I suspect ICE is also declining because of the macroeconomic situation. Looking exclusively at EVs falling in Q1 is not necessarily sign of reduced interest in EVs versus classic ICE cars.
How many folks actually buy new vehicles in the winter? Not as many as those buying in the other seasons/quarters.

If Tesla were to use as an advertisement the reaction people get from using FSD v12.3.3 or later for the first time, I think it would be very, very impressive and educational for a lot of people who right now either don't know anything about Tesla, or only believe the FUD they are spoon fed by the "media". It's not perfect yet, but "mind blowing" is a pretty accurate way of describing it.
It really matters when TSLA delivers. Share price rising in 10 years is worth considerably less than the same rise in 1-3 years. It matters ‘WHEN’ TSLA delivers and not ‘IF’. Have another go at saying WHEN because I can’t find a Tesla bull that has got this right in years!

Yes, this is the first time Tesla didn't beat a Year-Over-Year Quarter comparison (2023 Q1 vs. 2024 Q1), but the main thing to look at is where BYD surged above Tesla in 2023 Q4 (an inflection where their graphed trend crosses over the graphed Tesla trend), but then look at what happened THE VERY NEXT QUARTER. Q1 2024 shows a complete reversal where the BYD trend AGAIN crosses back over the Tesla trend but downwards! This is a classic tale of 2 corporations. One is Tesla. A smart high-growth company that is also fearful of external forces and so images worst-case scenarios to develop processes to mitigate downward risk. The Second is BYD who simply copies, reverse-engineers, and sets out to out-build the competition. BYD are built solely to grow wildly when times are good. As long as it's sunny, the World economy is stable and trending upward, the supply chain is humming perfectly....BYD will succeed. Possibly even out-compete Tesla much of the time. But Tesla is built for weathering the worst of storms. Because they have a leader who has instilled a culture of "everyone outside these walls are trying to bring us down...do not get complacent and build every process with flexibility in mind". Tesla uses it's in-house brain trust to pivot on a dime. Supply chain not delivering chips? Well, we'll just take generic chips and reprogram them in-house to make them work. Pricing pressure from competitors and cash-strapped consumers? Well, we've maniacally driven down costs so we can now cut prices to maintain medium-term backlogs of orders to keep our manufacturing smooth.

Manufacturers can be as efficient as they want, electricity grids are the limiting factor. As an owner of two ev's, with a home charger, ev's make sense for me but only a few homes on my street can fit chargers before electricity grids need upgrading. In the uk, if you have a 60 amp main fuse, you will need to upgrade it to 100 amp, few people will be able to do this before electricity companies will refuse requests. That's before you address the obvious issues of ev ownership when you do not have a garage or drive to charge in. Ev's adoption is limited by these issues, regardless of the availability or price of them.
Entirely reasonable comment but most car owners who do not have a drive park in the street and could charge there if/when local authorities allow.
@@BALANCEDPORTFOLIO Hopefully local authorities will provide suitable charging points for that. Having cables across pavements / sidewalks is not ideal.
Its a pity to say, the brand "Elon Musk" lost value due to the issues on the X platform. Therefore investors are stepping out. The numbers disappointed me a little but i am positive for the long run.
This year is to build new factories, next year I expect 3 million cars and 10 thousands bots
