    This is by far the most detailed video I found to decide which one do you wanna buy. Have you ever considered making one between tmx pro (because you have one) or t300 rs Vs Logitech. Because with this detail, I can't find better job. Even with something so important as sound dif or force (between belts from thrustmaster, or gears from Logitech).
    So with all being said, I just wanna thank you for your time and effort to give us this information, because I believe that you just helped a lot of people to decide which one to buy.

    Great review overall...my only suggestion ( and I don't know if this is true in your neck of the woods like it is in the US ) is that you used slightly different wheels. The 923 is the new version of the 29, that's quite true. But it's also the new version of the 920 ( the Xbox model ), and it adds extra controls that the 920 didn't offer. It would have been good to touch on what those do and how they work as it's a definite improvement, and honestly the 29 and 920 should have been identical instead of giving one console 7 more functions.

    8:22 - Regarding the always present "friction force" in the G29/G920 - I'm under the impression that we're talking about a driver issue (one of the many) with the newer LGS/LGH revisions (makes you wonder how much of it is due to the release of the newer model.. 🤔) This is not an issue present with an older LGS revisions on the G29/G920 wheels (I've learned this the hard way doing numerous fresh Windows installs during the course of multiple days and it was a frustrating and infuriating lengthy tedious process.. )

    • @Okatogurui

      @@Okatogurui I'm on LGS 8.87.116 (you might be ok with up to LGS 9.02.65 as it's pre 2020 although I haven't tried it - I'm not in the mood for a potential fresh Win install)
      Same goes for LGH - you might get away with pre 2020 versions although I couldn't tell, haven't got enough time to install so many..
      The only thing that got me going was a fresh windows install and this old LGS version alone. I've tried any other combination of repairing windows, or trying to clean up drivers installations, but no luck. I might try LGS 9.02.65 if I ever plan on a fresh Windows install..
      For now my FFB works properly in older games (no friction force constantly on) my Rev lights work in all supported sims and seems like disconnecting the wheel or rebooting doesn't magically make it disappear in "Devices and Printers" or turn into an unrecognized device.

    I would really like to address your statements at 8:22 as I find them dead wrong.
    The missing tire friction or underlying resistance in the G923 is what I absolutely loathe about it and is the reason I returned it.
    You are litterally in the clip sitting in a go kart, saying you like the free/smooth rotation of the G923 better.
    Have you ever been in a real go kart? There is no power stearing and it has a tremendous self centering force and tire friction when not driving.
    And in no other rally car, race car or other cars in the world, can you rotate the wheel without any resistance, even when driving.
    This no resistance besides the force feedback in the G923, is not realistic in any way, and is ripping me straight out of the immersion and reminds me that i'm sitting with a computer controller.
    Someone should be fired for removing that feature in a 400$ wheel.

      @hingi_games5421 Год назад

      I haven't used the G923, but less inherently created resistance sounds better to me. So there is basically only the resistance that the software FFB is trying to create, without any excess force that is not supposed to be there according to the game/software FFB. But I can understand lacking that feeling may seem odd after getting used to it.

      A larger wheel increases leverage and reduces the force feedback strength. More powerful wheelbases can cope with larger heavier wheel rims.

    Anyone think the G29 pedals are better with a rig though? Because you'll be able to press as hard as you want, as intended without the pedal base slipping across the floor?
    If I'm correct, the reason for the progressive spring in the brake pedal this time round was due to the consumer feedback from the G29 brake rubber stop pedal. Being the pedal base slipping across floors as a result of having to involve more pressure when applying the brake, due to the rubber stop (which I think with a rig it gives a more realistic breaking experience my theory is) in the G29 model. The progressive spring with the new model just provides a lighter resistance as I can only guess statistically most users have the pedal bases on their floors which means less chance of the pedal base sliding or moving across the floor or carpet or whatever, maybe?
    Therefore, as I have a rig to securely bolt the pedal base to, I propose maybe using the G29 pedal set with the G923 wheel for a more optimum experience if you have a rig ? Or do you think the progressive spring is just simply better, thoughts please?

    • @hingi_games5421
      @hingi_games5421 Год назад

      I'd figure the harder pedal is better for a rig. But if you have a decent rig you might want to install a load cell mod there anyway.

    Basically the same wheel, old technology since G25. I have a G29 myself which i bought new for £170 about 5 years ago and still going. If you want a first wheel save yourself some money and get the G29. Logitech are still trying to sell a G29 at the same price it was when it first came out £329 . Here in the uk you can get a new G29 for about £220 .

    • @SimRacingCorner

      Mostly that's true, it's a refinement update over the previous gen. You could just call it the G29/G920 V2.0. The Force Feedback quality has been improved over previous generation Logitech wheels. That might not matter to everyone, but I personally find that makes quite a difference.
