5:11 I have owned the G29 for over 4 years and the only damage I have is the paint on the little blue strip at the top of the wheel has rubbed off. Apart from that, the wheel is still good after 900+ hours on racing games. pretty good wheel in all honesty and does the job
Same here after 4 years of having the TMX
@@Blown_engine been thinking of getting the tmx pro cus I just returned my t80 and wanted to upgrade. The t80 worked well for 6 months never broke or anything no issues. Hoping better for the tmx
@@zoofl8947 If you really want an upgrade, you should definitely go for the T300 RS GT Edition. It's much better than the tmx
@@vilshe7449 on a budget, $250 lol
@@zoofl8947 Alright dude, the tmx is still a good wheel in my opinion
I'm not here so i can buy either the g29 or the t150, I'm here because of the level of production that you put in your videos, keep it up bro! 💯
Thank you Moh! :)
@yaboydarealnigga clearly, you don't understand what he just said
Cringe
@@DR-hh4ts of course, because complimenting a youtuber for the amount of effort they put into their videos is "cringe" 😐
@yaboydarealnigga mnkn
My Thrustmaster T150 has served me well the past 5 years, and it would still serve me good. But i decided to upgrade - The rubber grip has gotten very sticky, and the table mount screw isn't the most stable but the quality of the internals is solid for the price. The plastic grip of the screw is easy to break when installing the wheel on a table, especially if you want to really tighten up the wheel on your desk. - After it broke two times, I've been pretightening the screw into then mount and just slid the wheel onto the table.
The Force Feedback definetly isn't the best, far from it. But for beginners or casual Sim-driving/racing the wheel is perfectly good. I played on 60-70% force feedback strenght most of the times, because i had a wobbly desk, but also because the force feedback didn't clip as much and preserved detail. Even though it lost strength because of it, it made much more fun to play with more details.
The Thrustmaster eco-system also comes in handy if you're having fun in the long run, because you could get the three pedal set and the shifter as you mentioned. And if you want to upgrade the wheel base, it isn't a problem because the eco-system also works on other wheel-bases. That's a way to save a little bit of money if you want to upgrade to more serious stuff.
The buttons after five years have shown it's age though, at least on my t150. - Some of them were double-clicking or even triple-clicking on some occations, which made it really annoying to do actions (for me, turning on lights in Euro Truck Simulator 2). It still was usable, but with the other issues i had (sticky grip and damaged screw), it made it somewhat annoying to use. - Put some kind of bicycle grip tape on the wheel to prevent that, or use it when it's needed. Another solution would be to get sim-racing/driving gloves, although it deminishes the already weak force feedback of the wheel.
All in all, it's a solid racing wheel that could last 10 years, if handeled properly and having the luck on not getting a faulty product, which can happen to anyone, if we're being real here.
I personally had more issues with Logitech-wheels with the quality side of things. My Driving Force GT started smoking after the FFB-motor died, and friends of mine had software-problems with the G27 and also the G29 on the PC. - But I've also had some other friends around me that are very happy with the Logitech wheel.
In conclusion, if you can get the g29 for 200€ (new), go for it. The build quality is better compared to the T150, and the force feedback seems even or a tad bit stronger than the one of the T150.
On the other hand, if you can get the T150 Pro (with the 3-pedal set) for around the same price, I'd personally go for that one, simply because of the upgradability path and my previous experiences with both companies' wheels.
I hope i helped you guys with that. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Do you have experience with T300?
@@pasztorferenc6741 No I'm sorry, I don't have any experience with it. I got myself the Thrustmaster TS-PC Racer used in new condition for 350€. - You can compare it to the Thrustmaster T-GT or the Thrustmaster TS-XW.
will swapping the t150 steering wheel to different steering wheel affect the ffb too? seems like the most common complains is the steering became sticky after some times
@@marcocretella9348 Thank you for answering
@@zl_390 I haven't tried it, but I've heard that the force feedback feels weaker when going for a bigger steering wheel rim. - If you do that, I'd get a similar sized wheel in your case.
Other than that, I'm not sure how the force feedback gets affected when swapping the wheel.
I’ve had the t150, absolute great wheel for the price! Soon gonna upgrade to the thrustmaster tx leather edition. Going to install magnet padel shift mod on that one
The tx leather edition is worth all the money I can say
fuck
I cant use a logitech wheel because i spin it so fast the wheel it always gets misaligned
@@kingofclean1983 i had one for 4 years and the list of problems goes on, going to a TM belt driven is worth it! i have the t300rs gt and ordered the csl dd, im ready for another huge jump in quality
@@SSmallwood best affordable wheel T300RS I have one no problems
Some G29 advantages you didn't cover:
-although the force feedback is loud on rough terrain, the actual spinning of the wheel is smoother and quieter when driving slowly or on smooth surfaces
-the force feedback can spin the wheel much faster than the T150 can, very noticeable when drifting
-the G29's base is low profile and flat on the top, if you have an adjustable screen you can set it up so you can see your gauges through the wheel itself, just like in a real car
-the stiff brake pedal is a feature, it only gets hard to push at about 65% of the travel, simulating the feel of the hydraulics in the brake pedal of a real car, it feels really good when you get used to it
I own a TMX pro and the T3PA pedals have a conical rubber stop that's very similar to the G29 pedals. When the G29 was $400, the Thrustmaster wheels were a bargain but that's not the case now when the G29 is much more premium feeling and has more buttons.
I did a pretty common ball bearing mod to my TMX/T150 which replaced the plastic belt rollers and greatly reduced friction. The FFB feels more detailed and spins faster than stock, almost comparable to the G29 speed. But again, for the same price the G29 is a much better deal
Also, you can't use a handbrake on the g29 if ur on ps5 or ps4
kirkumii why is that?

Yesss this is perfect i was wondering which was better to buy. Thank you
Glad it was helpful :)
Pls tell me which is better t150 or g29?
I was also considering both but ultimately went with the T150 mostly because it costs 46% less in my region (while the G29 costs as much as the T150 Pro model).
Me too
It's the opposite for me, the Logitech one is 200 while the thrust master is not even sold as much so the price can go up, plus I get a discount so it's. even less than 200

I have the T150 pro model it's definitely worth the extra 50$
4:20 wrong with a adapter the Logitech shifter will plug directly into the PC allowing you to use it with a thrustmaster or any other wheel, I know this because I bought the Logitech shifter with my t150 and later upgraded to the thrustmaster shifter.

@@xanderledford1401 the Logitech shifter has an adapter to turn it into usb, idk if it will work on PS4, you have to do some more searching
@@xanderledford1401 If you have the g29 the shifter will plug into the wheel base then the wheel base plugs into the ps4 via usb as normal, but if you are using a t150 im not sure it would work with the adapter on ps4. It will work on pc but console is questionable. If you already have the t150 I recommend just saving up for the th8 as its a better overall shifter any ways
The gigachad move would be combining the T150 with the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Throttle Quadrant
I just ordered a G920 last night! Super hyped to get it in, only paid 150 and it has the shifter!
Sheeesh
G920 is good and i removed that black rubber and feels better

@tml where did you ordered it from? 😳
Where?!?
My opinion as a T300RS owner: The Logitech G29 should come standard with the H-Shifter for 250 bucks. (like they did with the G25)
The Thrustmaster T150 is at best, a 150 bucks wheel. (not 200+)
Anything 250+ bucks, one should start considering a T300 or better.
man i wish my country have that price. The T150RS and the G29 costs 300+ usd here :(
Would recommend the T150 PRO. Do get the pro the pedals and the other version are shit. Yes the Logitec might be nicer to look at but thats not what you'll be doing. You get a better racing feel out of the Thrustmaster hardware. If you end up loving simracing you might end up buying add on's. The shifter for example on the logitec is a toy. The Thrustmaster is heaps better. If you end up upgrading over time you can bring the pedals and shifter along for any othter thrustmaster wheel you buy as it all interacts. As i read here before if you got a bit more money to spend the T300 GT edition is a great bundle. But the really isn't anything wrong with the T150 pro. At certain discounts i've seen through the years its an absolute steal.
These 2 options are not in the budget area !
tbh, on sim racing it's not about the looks it's about the performance, also personally i prefer the rubber on my t150 and i feel like i have better grip with it. And the better ffb is a huge thing for me
Me and my heavily modified G 920: hmmm
Having owned the G29 for many years I can recommend it as a started wheel as it has everything you need out of the box with a good pedal set bundled in and the FFB is not bad at all, but if you are into sim racing in any big way, try to stretch to the Thrustmaster T300RS GT which is sometimes on sale and it a great step up from both the G29 and T150 etc...In fact a huge jump up...Good video...
Or the TX Leather edition, the rim itself feels alot better than the T300RS GTs rim and its the same price. Obviously the Leather edition is for Xbox or PC while the T300RS GT is for PS and PC so ye.

Had a T300 which crapped out after about a year.
Since I didn’t have much faith in Thrustmaster after that, I bought a G29 as a replacement .
Couple of years later it’s still going strong.
I pretty much only use it for Gran Turismo and Dirt Rally 2.0 on my PS4 Pro, so it’s perfect for my needs.
the thrustmaster belts have issues - logitech is build to last
one big reason i’m getting tmx is cause with thrustmaster later on after having t3pa pedal and shifter i can upgrade just the wheel and not have to get a whole new setup
Isn't it possible to use the Thrustmaster peripherals with adapters while using the Logitech wheel?
The Logitech G29/G920 is by far the best entry level wheel. The leather rim looks great and even after a year of daily use its still looks like new. In fact, it still smells like rich leather. The FFB is pretty good and even a bit stronger than the TMX/T150 (2.2NM vs 2NM). If you don't have any experience with other wheels you will be blown away with the feedback, even with the slight notchy feelings of the gears. I was completely happy with my G920, untill the CLS DD came out. Just 4 weeks and I will finaly get mine.
the Logitech is a rattling low quality pos to be honest. I bought it and returned it within hours. The rattle would not subside even if I decreased the force feedback in ACC, clunks a lot and the tiny wheel just makes it feel like a toy. Fanatec with the BMW 1:1 ratio replica wheel is fantastic, or the thrustmaster 1:1 F1000 wheel too.
@@DTFFP did you get another wheel
@@f9oeks965 I went with the thrustmaster ts-xw with the sparco steering wheel. Big difference and you get a replica steering wheel so it’s full size. Logitech is 2.2 nm force, while this thrustmaster is 6.4. Great wheel for entry level.
Definitely. When the G29 was $400 and the TMX/T150 pro were $250, it was a bargain. Nowadays they cost the same and the G29 just feels more premium and has more buttons

Can you make a video where you rate all the driving games you played with the wheels and put them in a ranking list?
Choosing looks over performance - no thanks. I would choose the Thrustmaster because it will grow with you over time, performs better, is less noisy and the quality is not a problem. Logitech are known for their quality control issues regarding their wheels.
I have a Thrustmaster wheel and my son has the G29. My wheel works perfectly in Forza Horizon 5, but his G29 doesn’t. What a clunky headache it is. The way to go for a beginner is: T150 pro version.
Just pulled the trigger on the g29 for $250 after watching it go back up to $400 for a few weeks.. it dropped back down to $250 and I immediately purchased before the price jumps again.. Bday present to myself🤷🏿♂️ lol just waiting for Gran Turismo 7
You think the G29 is better?
@@vvhuhx4163 honestly idk it's my first wheel since xbox 360... Feel good to me for $250 I'm happy, just waiting for my stand now.
I have had the the T150 for .... like 2 years now and it's a pretty good wheel I have a friend who has a Logitech and he said that its pretty good all depends on what you like
I have had my T150 for well over 5 years and it's been a fantastic wheel. Someday I will upgrade to a T300 wheel but that someday might be in the far future
Have mine for over 5 years too. Only issue is the rubber on the wheel almost completely gone.
Yeah, about the rubber, I ran with gloves, and my holds up pretty well.
skip the T300 and move to direct drive directly
7:29 im still wondering why the tmx doesnt have that
I haven't used a Logitech wheel. But I've had two thrustmaster wheels and they both crapped out within a month. One even lasted for just one f1 race weekend (100% event length). It worked fine for the first hour or so then it started registering split second left turns at full lock at random. I noticed it was also spewing alarming amounts of rubber dust out of the back of the wheel itself. So I am extremely weary of getting another thrustmaster. In a world of electronics designed to fail I'll take the Logitech any day.
Also, if I didn't know any better I'd think "Thrustmaster" was an elaborate sex toy. I imagine some sort of jackhammer mechanism with several attachments that let you select the level of girth you'd like to recieve. Maybe a gimp suit comes with it. Do you think there was a mix up at the trademark office headquarters? And now there's a dildo out there called the Race Wheel 9000? And do you suppose it craps out after 1 use like their sim racing counterpart?
Seems I got a little off topic. Fuck it. I'm posting anyway. I gotta quit using the youtube comments section as a convenient creative writing/journal entry platform. And POST
So that's what she meant when she told me to buy her the Race Wheel 9000 😳😳
I absolutely love the chaotic energy in this. It’s what I call fucking brilliant
Great comment mate
I don't know what I just read...
BUT I LOVE IT!!!!!!
i died after reading the first sentence of the second paragraph. I had the same impression when i first heard of thrustmaster
My favorite part about the Thrustmaster is cross compatibility. I started on a TMX (Xbox version of T150) and slowly started to get a shifter, new pedals, and I didn’t have to get a whole new wheel. And when I had the cash, I could just get a new TX base and it worked with all my old stuff
I think this is my plan.
yeah the fact that thrust master literally has universal parts that can be used for all of their wheels is the main selling point for me 😂
im gonna definetly do your route, the shifter and new pedals are just ridiculously expensive 😂😂 wish i got the pro with the clutch pedal
A demonstration of both wheels' noise levels would've been nice, that's the main thing I'm worried about - hearing "BRRRRR" every time I turn
It’s a shame that nobody has responded to this. Everyone says it’s loud but also fails to mention that it only happens when on rough terrain.
The majority of the time, my G29 is nearly silent and my pedals are making more noise than anything *unless* I’m driving on dirt or off-track. Still pretty quiet overall.
As a T150 user.. Still using on 2024 with no problem.. This wheel purchased on 2021 and still it's look's and works new..
It's force feedback so realistic and powerful morethan enough for me as a assetto and ets 2 player..
I will defiantly recommend T150 over Logitech and you are not going to regret this..
But i will recommend to buy the pro version if you can.. But okay if you are on budget but still I'm using those Normal Pedal's.. Break and Accelerater..
But i had a plan to buy it soon..
Whatever If you want a overall package for now on budget it's a good idea to take Logitech.. But still it's not that a good idea.. because You will get money after this whatever, i mean future.. Then you will bored with Logitech FBB.. And try to upgrade to a Higher Wheel and sell your older one with no advantage.. But if you buy a Thrustmaster T150.. That wheel will be Enough.. As my Experience..
And you will get 15+ different add-on's for T150.. So There is a Big Advantage's..
So think first..
long time TMX Pro owner here:
i really love my TMX but my friend owns the Logitech G920 and the modability keeps it alive way longer
In 2015 I bought the G29 for $300, 5 years later they upped the price to $400 for no reason, I then had the T300RS and never looked back. The Thrusmaster is more subtle when it comes down to software and packs more tech. The T150 in this video is in my opinion better than the Logitech due to the Hybrid Gear and Belt drive system. Shame on Logitech for selling us a G27 in disguise.
My first ever wheel was a Thrustmaster T80, and it lasted me like 2 years (pretty good for the quality lmao), but the plastic pedals were the first ones to have problems on it. When I upgraded to a "beginner" T150, I intentionally chose the T150 Pro, and it was well worth the extra $50 for the T3PA pedals!
I returned the T150 Pro after a week specifically because of the T3PA. Lots of wobble. Squeaks constantly. Of course you can take it apart and lube it but that's something I refuse to do with something that's 3 days old and is under warranty.
And there are no spikes for carpets. It's ridiculous at any price point. But you get the same pedals with the T300RS as well...
G29 has wheel wobble and the brake pedal clicks. Returned that too.
I tried to upgrade from a Logitech DFGT and I honestly think there are no wheels worth considering under 300 dollars. Which is an issue because I don't use a wheel enough to justify buying a more expensive wheel.

I never maxed out the force feedback on my DFGT and I certainly didn't come close do maxing out either the T150 Pro or the G29.
Both the wheel wobble and the clicking brake pedal are known issues on the G29.
The squeaky pedals are a known issue with the T150 Pro.
Just because yours is fine (or more likely you're blind and deaf and don't notice obvious problems), doesn't mean none of them have issues.
if I could go back I'd probably get a thrustmaster wheel with a logitech shifter (you can adapt the logitech shifter to USB for $20)
I bought the t150 wih the pro pedals a while ago and I’m loving it. I’ve used the g29 but the t150 with the hybrid belt I’ve loved using. The t3pa pedals are the bets budget ones I have but be careful it does end up squeaking (anyone in comments know how to fix it)

I was an idiot and sold my sim rig for like $600 because I stopped using it for a while, I just got back into it and I’m still dirt broke.
the g29 and g920 sounds like its breaking under load of the FFB especially if you try to counter steer or such. it sounds like there's gears in there and its making ratatatatatata sounds everytime and feels really jagged in ur hands.
Because there are gears in there
That feel is horrible to me, didn't like it at all, along with the central dead zone
Owned g29 for 6 years, so now i will tell you all of the damages across these years
1. blue strip rubbed off
2. shifter paddels are moving
3. pedals cable broke so i had to buy new one
4. pedals had problems so i had to clean them XD
I've had the Logitech Driving Force Pro for over 20 years now and apart from the wheel being loud(which I don't remember if it has always been or if it got louder) and the force feedback not being great(which is to be expected). I have had 0 issues with it
I have a logitech g29 and my cousin has a thrustmaster......in my opinion logitech g29 is one of the best steering wheels
i got the thrustmaster t150 and it broke the same day i got it and even before it broke it really wasnt that great of a wheel , i got the g29 now and im much happier with the g29 then the t150
I don't see why you would prefer the G29, the Tmx/T150 has a poorer build quality, but you said it yourself, they provide better ffb, and for only 50 bucks more you get the t3pa pedals. Which in the end is cheaper than the G29, so you got better pedals and better ffb, and also better looks imo, for less money, it's a no brainer. And if you went to a racing circuit what would you rather have, a Rolls Royce, with all the luxury in the world, or a GT3?
As a thrustmaster fan whos owned a Thrustmaster T80, TMX, Tx leather edition, T150. I can say the force feedback and feel of the wheels feel amazing another thing to note is you cant compare a standart t150 to a g29 you have to compare the t150 pro. Thrustmaster has been amazing high quality good racing feel and realistic ffb.
In my country the pro version of the T150 costs less than the G29. So should i go with the T150?
I think I'm gonna get the logitech one as my first wheel ever
Jesus Christ, how can you ever trust a reviewer who says a "stiff brake" is a downside...
it's 2021, the fact that there are still gear driven wheels is sad. Let's hope Fanatec's CSL DD spurs more competition for DD wheels.
Dude, it is cheap and realiable, good for beginners.
The problem with the logitech wheels is that they have a lot of slop for the first 5ish degrees in each direction. What i mean by this is that while it is accurate, you will have little to no force feedback. That may be a problem with thrustmaster too i guess but ive only had my g29 and im not so pleased with it.
I've been looking at racing wheels for a long time and have just not been able to pull the trigger on buying one. This has to be the best, most comprehensive, comparison that I have seen.
My vote is for the TMX Pro.
I'm going to buy wheel but i don't know wich one i should buy
Id definitely buy the one that lasts longer
Get the tmx pro and a pair of driving gloves. Then you won’t care about the lack of leather on the wheel. The belt driven FFB alone trumps the Logitech.
Gavin gets it. The only reason to buy a ffb wheel is for the ffb!
a lucid man.
It's not even fully belt driven and the force feedback is stronger on the g29. I have the t150 btw.
it's all about the precise response of the FFB, for me, the Strength doesn't really matter primally for circuit races (F1, GT3 etc)
@@Kirito2058. that still goes for the g29 since the gear driven system gives you faster and more precise ffb.
Hey what does the scroll wheel thing do on the g29 in the bottom right that is red
I use a Playseat Evolution GT with a G29, Logi h-shifter, and TM Handbrake(drifting). In my point of view, I would def take the Logitech wheels. And besides, it IS pretty hard to drift with 1080 degrees, even with all the force feedback.
Hello bro please give me that one g29 gaming wheel please I can't offord that please 🙏 😢
Another great upload. I just recently bought the G920. Thank you for the awesome quality content you're putting out. I'm looking now into purchasing a shifter.
What shifter are you looking for?
@@OCRacing I was thinking about something better than the Logitech add on. Your videos could probably point me in the right direction. The th8a is an option but I was also looking for any other H-pattern shifter that wouldn't cost as much.
@@OCRacing I see based on your videos that you tend to lean towards sequentials, any particular reason? Just curious... Keep up the great work!
@@manuelhernandez2017 I would actually prefer an H-pattern shifter over a sequential any day. I got sent a sequential shifter from Thrustmaster, hence why I use it. lol
Does the thrustmastee t150 work for ps5 games such as need for speed unbound?
Awesome, I was waiting for this one! Great video!
Thank you! Hope it was helpful :)
@@OCRacing it really was, I think I'm gonna go with the t150 for the better ffb and since you can buy it for 140€ here. I'll probably pick up a used set of t3pa pedals since the pro isnt priced that well
why the hell would you mute the sound from the raw video and put in a music bed instead? You didnt think people wanted to know how these things sound in action?
Nice comparison ! Personnally I don't own any, I still rely on my old Logitech G27, but the G27 being the predecessor of the G29, and having used the G29 for a few minutes at a demo stand a few years ago, I prefer Logitech
my tmx broke a little before 2 years of use so I opened it to see what happened and a small plastic gear had a chipped tooth
About trucksims, the buttons on G29 are far more important than the extra 90 degrees rotation on both sides on T150. The two biggest issues with G29 are the deadzone in the middle and rattling which comes from loose gears
the tmx is like $100 cheaper than the g29/g920
I’m looking for my first wheel, ultimately for me it’s about price range. Also deciding if I want a more expensive one from the get go, because I may feel inclined to replace a cheaper one at some point
If price is the main factor, try and find a second hand G27 in good condition. I did this and it has been very good. Spring upgrades (pedals) are available too at a reasonable price. There is one potential weakness - there is a small optical sensor wheel which can fail after a lot of use, but there's a guy on the net making a nice brass replacement for this, so it's repairable. If you want something really good from the start - probably get the new Fanatec CSL-DD. People seem to like it (I have not tried it) and it's fairly cheap for a DD wheel base. Still going to cost a bunch for the whole setup though.
interesting. There are much cheaper Thrust-master T150 Pros around me. If its just looks id rather save 100 bucks and get something that performs slightly better.
Let me know if there were things missed! Ty!
Was a bit late to the premiere but nonetheless a great comparison video.
Thank you! I may consider premiering more videos in the future, I think it was a lot of fun
Ye sure tm has more accessories but on t150 you can’t swap the wheel
As for the build quality and sturdiness of Logitech wheels, I have owned a Logitech G25 since it's release and used it heavily and it still works perfectly. Only issues I've had have been with the shifter. I've had to take it apart and tighten the inside screws few times and once I had to solder a piece of wire to the switch that controls reverse. I have heard that some G27s and G29s suffer from overheating when playing for long perioids, but this can be fixed by cutting fer holes to the case or even adding fans.
As for what you said about the Logitech pedals and the "too stiff" brake pedal, I see that as an upside and have even replaced the springs so that the pedals are even stiffer.
Finally, Logitech pedals can be disassembled and mounted upside down (which I have also done) very easily.
Even though the G29 looks like a great deal here in my country (Portugal) the G29 costs about 320€ (350$) while the T150 costs about 230€ (250$) so paying 90€ less just to not have a rev indicator and maybe a little bit higher quality build seems ok.
I have owned both. I started off with the T150 when i was getting into iracing before i was sure it was something i would continue to do for a long time. after i fell in love with sim racing, i upgraded to the g920 simply mounted to my desk with pedals on the floor. today, the g920 is mounted on an Obutto Revolution cockpit and i have a machined wheel adapter and 35cm deep dish wheel on it, deep dish paddle shifters, I have mods for improved feel h pattern and sequential modes on the driving force shifter, and i also have modded the brake and clutch pedals for improved feel. even umodded, my vote would be logitech because it has less of a "toy" look and feel about it even though the "genuine leather" wrapped around the wheel definitely feels like plastic.
You modded literally everything XD
The t150 is good if u race a very generalized car list like something from every type of series, it’s thin rim makes it surprisingly good for formula cars, when I upgraded to a 300 I was honestly shocked at the difference in thickness, although those rubber grips can wear away so I recommend gloving up, the rubber is much MUCH thinner than the t300
In june 2022 the pro versions are not for sale anymore!
One point regarding shifters: you can get adaptors that allow the Logitech shifter to be used as a USB device, so it doesn't plug directly into the wheel, but into the pc. Currently using one with my Thrustmaster TX and it's worked without a hitch since I upgraded
Yup, I forgot to mention that. Although last time I checked, the adapter was going for $40? Not sure if that’s still the case.
@@OCRacing Idk if they offer an offical one (at least where I live), but I got one on eBay for £20 (Equates to around $30 or so). My thought process is that with the adaptor you can get a more budget shifter that can be made better with those mods from gmod. Great video, you're making content that's on par with Chris Haye's (Ik you probably get that a lot, but it doesn't make it less true).
Does this work on Xbox
@@georgesims4112 It doesn't unfortunately. From memory though I remember seeing something called Drivehub that allows you to mix and match gear, could be worth looking into.
@@georgesims4112 i hate millwall
I have never used a t150 but I own a g29 and I find that without a clutch pedal, it would feel like I'm playing with a toy. I know most cars are automatic now but I like in Ireland where an automatic car is a rare enough sight, we just rather manuel and I am the same
Thrustmaster should send you a T248. Would love to see how that stacks up against the Logitech series, especially since it price matches the g923
‼️‼️‼️‼️
I brought the T150 because its quieter than the G29 and was 60€ cheaper.
I will get Logitech thank you for the tip!!!
And thank you for watching 😊
@@OCRacing looking forward to the next video you make 😁
@@Team_SpaceX there are quite a few waiting in line 😉
@@OCRacing yay!
The tnx has way better ffb
Appreciate the comparison as I'm looking into getting a setup for GT7.
This is a great review, I've owned the T150 and now have the G29 and agree the Logitech feels much nicer but it's just a bit noisier than the T150 which I can live with on my SIM stand.
Budget? It is mf 200 dollars
tbh either one is great buy to this day.
T248 for the WIN? Update video time? Yup!
I am debating which one to get for gr-pa who misses driving. I thought of getting him a wheel setup + some quiet driving game. I need to plug the equipment directly into his desktop, there is no xbox or PS. A big consideration is: i don't want him to over-exert, those devices must be easy for him to use. Which one do you recommend considering a 100y old and the above? yes, a 100.
That sounds nice. Did you end up getting one for him?
@@Meccarox I did!!)) Thank you. He loved the idea and everything, except so far, we tried a few games and while the wheel does work as intended, brakes and gaz pedal are not reactive (at least with the games we got so far). I got him PXN v900. It has good grip and is not too hard but we are still to find the right sensitivity setting. It makes the "car" fly right and left crazy. I have downloaded for him BeamNG to try something with nicer graphics but he is waiting for me to come before trying playing. I really hope it works with pedals because it sucks to use arrows when you have the thing!
Logitech is better end of conversation
tbh, i would always go thrustmaster instead, Just because its "lower" build quality looks bad, doesent make it a knockoff the shelf.. since their FFB is better in every way and its just in general better (ehem, G29 oscillating) its still better. Plus the shifter (TH8A) Feels better and has 8 gears, PLus the T3PA pedals are WAY higher quality than the logitech (i would believe) and then to top it all. if you ahve the TH8A shifter and T3PA pedal set, You can bassicly hotswap from a T150 to a T300RS or T500 or what ever else compatible, thrustmaster always takes a win in most
For me
The TMX Pro is far better
The feedback is much more detailed than the Logi
I also have an ebay hand-brake which the Thrustmaster software recognized.
The TH8A shifter is 10 times better than the logi. The 7 speed, the way it goes through gears and it could even become a sequential gear shifter.
I used a T500RS before TMX.
I could say
The TMX won't disappoint you.
If you had a higher budget tho
Get a Thrustmaster TX Leather edition
any different between tmx and t150 pro?
@@mzcuber7266 No different
Just the colour and buttons.
I recommend TMX more cuz the buttons are better
@@MDCYF I'm thinking of getting a thrustmaster tx leather edition is it a good wheel for it's price? Because I've heard they break pretty quick.
@@xposex1052 Just don't use them too harsh and stay them in good temperature (Lower than 25°c).
They are pretty solid.
I actually picked up a thrustmaster tmx pro with the 3 pedal set at my local Goodwill for an amazing $20 , so I'd have to go with Thrustmaster 🤙🏽😉
Unfortunately in south africa the g29 is double the price of the t150
i would choose thrustmaster, because my logitech's shifter no longer works perfectly after 1 year of use. And my break pedal errors randomly
Using T150 using the T3pa pedal for 3 years and it still working well, just little cosmetic damages like the rubber grip on the wheel after hours of uses and i have tape it to improve my grip, I glad that previous PS4 wheels will be compatible with PS5 as well
good to know
G29 is un modable cuz theyre gears , t150 belt can be modded with rollee bearing as it makes it close to t300 which is far superior than g29
Help. My G29 doesn’t work in any games and steam doesn’t recognize it. Ghub is able to recognize it. Not sure what I am doing wrong
i like thrustmaster more but their shifters are so expensive
