The t150 with t3pm pedals you could be super fast. They use HEART magnet tech instead of potentiometers. Much more reliable and theoretically will last forever. The T300 comes that way too. It's like that because if you crank it to 100, you'll get a significant amount of signal clipping (you'll lose detail in the FFB). To my knowledge, this happens with all wheels, some being more affected than others. Thrustmaster putting it at 75% allows the user to choose what they'd prefer more of - detail or strength. Additionally... TM wheels seem to run pretty warm in general, so not running it at 100% all the time is probably better for their lifespan.
I use the T150 mounted on a playseat challenge. Good entry level setup for those who don't have the space for a perm. setup. I'm quite happy with it, although I agree that the pedals are subpar.
I just got this same setup, how did you use the table clamp on the wheel stand? For mine it doesn’t seem to fit right with the clamp getting pushed up against some screws on the bottom of the stand
@@bretthailey6236 I just pushed it up against the screws, It stays on just fine and works well for me. Others have unscrewed the stand and moved it back.
I have a T-150 with T3PA pedals and TH8A shifter. I’ve had it for over 3 years and it I’d say it’s at 85-90% quality still! I think the FFB is a tad worn as it makes some funny noises very seldom but I notice it. That could’ve also been my fault from driving aggressively and over powering the wheel itself which is my mistake. Anyways I’d rate my experience with it a 8/10 hands down, never over heated, never stopped working, never let me down after 3+ years. Games played, a lot of PC2 and ever other sim therefor
I'm pretty sure there is a reason it comes with ffb at 75%. I've had one for 2 years and recently it strayed making weird noises and it felt like it was skipping teeth while turning hard. Most likely some of the internal plastic gears had somehow gotten sheerd and it made them skip. It does have 2 years of warranty so I managed to get it replaced for free but now I'm kinda scared to put it on 100%.
My first Thrustmaster wheel was the T80. For $100 its "okay" it is not in any way a good sim wheel, but for simple cruises it gets the job done. It came with the all plastic pedals and after a few months the spring in the throttle broke leaving the gas pedal on the floor. After upgrading to the T150 Pro i can say the T3PA Pedals are miles better than the full plastic ones and i plan on getting the shifter and maybe a handbrake for drifting. If you are in the market for a wheel i agree with buying the pro version, the wheel and pedals will last much longer and you will have a lot more fun with it.
I went with this wheel (T150 pro) for my first wheel mainly because of the pedals and the th8a shifter, that being said, I am using a Controller that has no vibration and I still enjoy Dirt Rally 2.0 and WRC 9 a lot, Up until a couple months ago I didn't even know sim wheels and pedals were a thing. I have youtube recommended to thank for SuperGT. I am a witcher until it arrives in September then I'll retire my Silver sword.
i am currently playing American truck simulator multiplayer with my TMX pro set and still loving it ,and plenty of Assetto Corsa . if you can afford the extra $50 for the pro setups try and get it ... since the triple pedals on their own are usually $100 . my TMX is my first wheel and going 3 years strong
Oh yeah for sure. I have a t150 with big wheel mod and had it for 2 years since mod. 100% ffb and still strong. Love my t150! I recommend a t300 or t248 but if you can’t afford one then a t150 is great. You can also use the Th8a with these beasts. Cheers

I just bought this wheel on black Friday sale for 145 dollars, and I have to say playing in Need For Speed Heat its sweet, I'm satisfied with this wheel!
These wheels are probably the best starter wheel of all time, or atleast the pro versions. Because of thrustmaster's growing ecosystem, you could always get a better wheelbase or get a shifter, and keep the t3pa pedals which are probably the best potentiometer pedals out there.
I just picked up a used Thrustmaster tmx for myself. £50 quid used with the 2 pedal set. Picked up the t3pa pedal set from eBay for £39. Tomorrow a generic.usb shifter arrives, let's.see what it's like. Apparently they're not bad at all. Assetto Corsa ready! Drifting practice ongoing.
That's my first ever wheel and i have it 4 years now. Only problem that i have is that the blue rubber wears a lot after some time and leave your hands sticky. But i would never wish for better wheel to start my simracing journey. If you just starting i recommend but in the pro version with better pedal set! I didn't do that and i regret not saving more money for pro version.
The RS stands for Real Shitty. I know that statement probably isn't all that clever but it its at least an honest and fitting description. I've had two and they both died insanely quick. The 1st lasted about 10 days, randomly disconnecting with more and more frequency until it just stopped turning on altogether. The 2nd one lasted around 3 hrs, or less than one full length race weekend in F1 2016. It was spewing rubber dust out the back. And towards the end of the race the game was registering the wheel doing left turns at full lock for a fraction of a second several times per lap. The dust was also very fine. So it wouldn't surprise me if that shit was the reason the one mentioned in the video caught on fire.
Got a tmx for 125 dollars used on ebay. I am very impressed with it so far. As you said the pedals leave much to be desired but within a day i'm already getting lap times within a second of what I was getting on controller. Worth noting, the t150 has 1080 degrees of rotation and the tmx has 900 and the tmx has one of those quick release Xbox 360 cables, so if you're shopping used know that you may need to buy one of the connectors for it.
T150 is my second wheel, and definitely the best I had after the T80 that Gamestop made me pay 115€ and which broke in less than a year. I bought it in 2019 during Black Friday and paid it only 135€. Well, I must say 135€ well spent, the T150 does its job greatly and until now still works flawlessly. If there's something that I don't like about this wheel is the metal screw plastic fastener that can break easily, but there are many replacements around so it's not the worst thing. Another thing that I don't like it's the FFB, for some reason, I've never been able to set it properly on my AC nor I was ever able to drift properly with this wheel. But it could be my lack of skills since I have seen people drifting with it without problems. And another thing that personally I don't like, it's the noise that the wheel makes while turning it around. Apart all of these, this wheel is perfect. If you want to get it at good price, I'd suggest you to wait for Black Friday as I did.
Having owned a G29 for three years and now own a TMX (COVID locked down without my G29 so sprung for the cheapest) I have to say I prefer the G29. The TMX though lacks the noisy gears of the G29 due to its belt drive simply cannot provide FFB effects at a fine enough detail quick enough. It feels muddy in comparison and less precise. There is a constant level of friction with the TMX even when unplugged which gets in the way of the minor finer details you feel with the G29. Loosing the back end is harder to detect than the G29. This sounds bias but genuinely is just my two cents having now owned both playing on PC Raceroom, ACC and Automobilista 2 etc. Regards, Mike
@@hiitzmike thanks for the reply, I'm leaning towards the G29 but I still have the question, how loud is the G29? Is there some other sound you could compare it to? Thanks
@@ericswanson3150 I can't think of how to describe it, also it depends on the sim too. The sound is like a knocking on the desk, as if you tap your knuckles on it. I feel it wouldn't be genuine of me if I didn't give bad points to the Logitech also so here goes. The pedals on the logitech are prone to potentiometer dirt build up, so you might have to clean them or replace them if they flicker the brakes or throttle in game (common). The logitech gaming software can be a pain sometimes as it gets stuck in an update loop (had this twice).
With the base TMX just know the wheel itself will last a lot longer than the pedals. I’ve had my TMX since 2017 and the throttle pedal started to go in early 2020 ish. I have definitely got my use out of the wheel in that time, so if you are more conservative with your usage, you could make them last longer definitely. Also I was 14-15 when I got them so didn’t give them the best care. But right now the throttle is completely bust and now rely on a dodgy setup using the dpad up and down for acceleration and saving for the T248 which has the slightly better (from what I’ve heard) T3PM pedals.
@@AhmedHassan-db7weYes, the VASTLY SUPERIOR 3x metal pedal T3PA pedal box that comes with the T-150/TMX Pro models can be purchased brand new ala-carte for $99 at places like B&H (some sites have it listed for a fucking absurd $189, but you can just ignore those). Plenty of time to upgrade to Thrustmaster or Fanatec afterwards.
It's a fantastic wheel, but if you are looking into getting a wheel for sim drifting you should spring for the t300, the tmx doesn't self steer quick enough
I have my t150 for about 3 years. It went for 100usd because someone returned it (i still have warranty) and it was a set with t3pa pedals. My first issue with it came about a 3 months back when my left paddle stopped clicking - it downshifts and returns to the right position, force required to push is still the same but it doesnt click. And when it comes to upgrading, i'm just not sure since this one is fine for my grandma style racing and compared to others - it was dirt cheap.
I own a t150, Yes. It is worth it. But since it doesnt come with the 3 metal pedal set, you need to upgrade. It's a great wheel for beginner simracers like me.
🤦 ... And that's literally why the T150/TMX Pro exists for just +$30-$50 more. And you can also upgrade the vanilla model's shitty pedal box after purchase if you want. in terms of electric motor power they both function, strong, smooth and fast from full lock to full lock , nothing wrong with the hybrid t150 , the tmx is the equivalent to the t150 in terms of power they both deliver around 2nm of torque. the difference is tmx is for xbox, if you are between the age of 14 maybe less to about 20's the t150 its going to be perfect to start. if you are planing on going one step above amateur try the t300 or the fanatec csl that setup will last you years and years and years and years and years to come basically you are not going to need more detail in the ffb than that, but if you are going all in then neither thrustmaster of loghitec are going to be your number one choice i have seen pros win with a g27 , or a t150 even a t300 my point is if you are fast driver, no matter what setup you use, your are still going to be a fast driver but if you are going full on pro those DD's are a monster nothing comes close to a direct drive.
They're both good but I think I'll buy a logitech wheel cause in the future I want to get a manual shifter and a thrustmaster one is like 180$ while a logitech one is 60$. I'm a bit worried about the sound though any help?
I bought this wheel yesterday for 125 with the t3pa pedals, previously to this, I've been using my brother's t300rs and thrustmaster shifter. it's pretty decent and definitely better then a g29. only thing that's a noticeable downgrade over the t300 is the fact that it's too slow for drifting (compared to the t300rs), instead of letting the wheel slide in your hands to transition/initiate a slide you have to sort of throw it into the corner, very nice other then this

My T150 is broke after a year and a half and TM want $115 to fix it. The buttons on the face of the wheel can't be pressed without a ridiculous amount of bounce. In rF2 I race F1 cars, trying to shift down from 7th or 8th gear and going from 7th or 8th straight to 3rd in one paddle click, is quite jarring and upsets the car. I wouldn't recommend the T150 to anyone given my experience, but it's just what mine did I guess. I built a button box and sequential shifter until I can afford a new, better wheel

Recently upgraded from T150 Pro to T300, kept the T3PA pedals, same pedals that come with 300 GT. Yes, it is worth it, otherwise it is direct drive with Fanatec for much more money. The T300 is much smoother than the T150, more FFB. One could get the T300 as a first wheel, if you have the money, otherwise the T150 is a good wheel, as long as it is paired with a TM 3 pedal set. Their 2 pedal sets are not very good.
I’ve been using mine in 29° heat for about 2 hours straight on 100% ffb, it started to get pretty hot even with the built in fan, I’d be careful In high temperatures but most of the time heat isn’t really an issue, other than that I’ve had mine about a year and the ffb is way better than the g27 (my previous wheel) but the overall quality doesn’t come anywhere near to the g27, but for beginners it really isn’t bad, the ffb is strong and smooth with around 2.5nm and considerably more quite than my g27
Could somebody tell me which one to buy. Btw I play f1 code master games, ac and acc 1. Used thrustmaster tx 458 wheel for £200 2. New thrustmaster tmx for £160 3. Wait for the thrustmaster t248 to go Used for £200 approx 4. Used logitech g920 for £180
I think it's a better deal to go with the pro variants of these wheels since they come with the 3 pedal set and then later on get a Th8a shifter. Yes it's a bit pricey but it's worth it and you can use it with pretty much any wheel on PC

@@angryoldcanadian3905 thanks so much!
Just got a T150 and it is all you need to have a ton of fun in 2023 and beyond. I pay for a new one from ebay for $95.
Remember fam, any wheel is better than no wheel! You definitely don't need to spend $500+ to have fun racing.
Loving the editing. You're getting better!
Found your channel through the Brasov track review. Stayed and scrolled through the content. Loved it. Subbed :D
Thank you, Arpan 🙂
I'm pretty sure there is a reason it comes with ffb at 75%. I've had one for 2 years and recently it strayed making weird noises and it felt like it was skipping teeth while turning hard. Most likely some of the internal plastic gears had somehow gotten sheerd and it made them skip. It does have 2 years of warranty so I managed to get it replaced for free but now I'm kinda scared to put it on 100%.
Waa the warranty feom the manufacturere or a store like gamestop?
Bought one today but the pro version, works cracking on the ps5 with GT7. Very impressed
I've had my T150 for 7 years, have never had an issue with it. I'm finally upgrading to the T818 but would defo recommend these wheels
I mean, 1 year later from this video (2023), and I recently got mine with the T150 Pro pedals and I'm really happy with mine!
Excellent video, exactly the feed back I was looking for
My first Thrustmaster wheel was the T80.
I've been wanting to play American truck simulator for a while now!
@@OCRacing convoy runs are great and stick shifts makes it very fun too
Oh yeah for sure. I have a t150 with big wheel mod and had it for 2 years since mod. 100% ffb and still strong. Love my t150! I recommend a t300 or t248 but if you can’t afford one then a t150 is great. You can also use the Th8a with these beasts. Cheers
What is a "big wheel mod" and where can I purchase said mod?
@@JayKayX71 I purchased a big wheel and purchase an adapter so I can put the big wheel on it. It’s awesome like this and really gives much more immersion. I’m making some l videos on it soon. @@OCRacing Yes way! Only downside is that the rubber grips of the T150 were taken off but I just wrapped it in tennis racquet leather grip and it’s actually really awesome. Guy was just really desperate for $80 I guess.

@@ThatGuyJeromeYTC totally not jealous 😅
Just picked one up off Amazon sale for $120, really don’t think it can be beat for that price.
Oh that's excellent, I'm wondering if I should upgrade my $50 t80 for it
I just bought this wheel on black Friday sale for 145 dollars, and I have to say playing in Need For Speed Heat its sweet, I'm satisfied with this wheel!
I just spent my money on the t300 gt and it’s coming in a few days from now, I’m excited
Got this wheel for $40 on facebook marketplace, crazy deal
Finally a review i know what is he talking about🔥🔥🔥🔥
I got my t150 pro for 135$ , it works really good😊 happy
i got a t150 pro and shifter, so far its been great i love to go cruising through srp in assetto corsa
Nothing quite like cruising in Assetto corsa 😅
Fantastic content as usual!
Thanks Pierre 🙂
Got a tmx for 125 dollars used on ebay. I am very impressed with it so far. As you said the pedals leave much to be desired but within a day i'm already getting lap times within a second of what I was getting on controller. Worth noting, the t150 has 1080 degrees of rotation and the tmx has 900 and the tmx has one of those quick release Xbox 360 cables, so if you're shopping used know that you may need to buy one of the connectors for it.
Thanks for letting me know!
Awesome video, great detail, thank you! I’m buying a used one for 150$ tomorrow, this is going to be my first wheel ever. Hope it works well for me!
How’s the wheel going for you so far?
thankfully I got the tmx pro as my first wheel, should come soon hopefully. I heard the t3pa is pretty alright, so thank god I got the pro version
Do you have an idea when you'll make the G29 vs. T150 video? Haha I'm currently considering both to buy and am not sure. Love the content, keep it up!
@@hiitzmike Thank you, hard to really understand if you don't own it yourself. Thanks for the info

Love the review! just wondering if the Logitech G29 is easier to modify the steering wheel? im thinking of getting a wheel with an f1 style
I believe it is a lot more common to modify the G29 & G920 when compared to Thrustmasters offerings.
Can,t you just buy the pedals alone ?
@@AhmedHassan-db7weYes, the VASTLY SUPERIOR 3x metal pedal T3PA pedal box that comes with the T-150/TMX Pro models can be purchased brand new ala-carte for $99 at places like B&H (some sites have it listed for a fucking absurd $189, but you can just ignore those).
But even so, it's still a much, MUCH better idea to just get one of the only +$30-$50 more expensive Pro models ($250 vs $220/$200) which already include those MASSIVELY UPGRADED pedals out of the box, right from the jump. It's just so much, MUCH cheaper than upgrading later ala-carte. 🤷 (+$30-$50 vs ≈+$106 after tax)
TO be fair I have mounted my wheel onto a table using the one big bolt, and it feels sturdier than the clamp, just got to get the right matching size
Wait wtf is a t150 200$??? I swear it used to cost 80-100 at most, jeezzz. Great review as always Oscar tho!
My personal opinion: The FFB of this model is really crappy imo, quite unresponsive and you can definitely feel the "gears"" ar work. I guess it works as an entry model but prices are quite steep it seems to me atm. My advice would be to go with the Logitech offering if you want an entry level wheel. Plenty of time to upgrade to Thrustmaster or Fanatec afterwards.
Thats the t81

It's a fantastic wheel, but if you are looking into getting a wheel for sim drifting you should spring for the t300, the tmx doesn't self steer quick enough
I would, but I want one for Xbox and PC?. Where can I get that?
would it self steer faster than a g29?
@@Frosty_V0 if you want the t300 for the Xbox, that version is called the Thrustmaster TX and it’s a way better feel than the TMX.
Been using t150 with t3pa pedals for past 2 years really good wheel not a single issue🙂
So, I’m on Xbox and PC, can I use the TMX with the TSS handbrake, load cell pedals, and Th8A shifter? Will I need the hub?
If on PC, you should be able to plug in the handbrake via usb to your pc and the pedals and shifter to the wheel itself.
i just found a t150 used for 80 euros, should i go for it?
I own a t150, Yes. It is worth it.
But since it doesnt come with the 3 metal pedal set, you need to upgrade.
It's a great wheel for beginner simracers like me.

🤦 ... And that's literally why the T150/TMX Pro exists for just +$30-$50 more. And you can also upgrade the vanilla model's shitty pedal box after purchase if you want. The T3PA 3x metal pedal box that comes stock with the T150/TMX Pro models can be bought brand new ala-carte for $99 on sites like B&H (some places have it listed for a freaking stupid $189, but you can just ignore those).
in terms of electric motor power they both function, strong, smooth and fast from full lock to full lock , nothing wrong with the hybrid t150 , the tmx is the equivalent to the t150 in terms of power they both deliver around 2nm of torque. the difference is tmx is for xbox, if you are between the age of 14 maybe less to about 20's the t150 its going to be perfect to start. if you are planing on going one step above amateur try the t300 or the fanatec csl that setup will last you years and years and years and years and years to come basically you are not going to need more detail in the ffb than that, but if you are going all in then neither thrustmaster of loghitec are going to be your number one choice i have seen pros win with a g27 , or a t150 even a t300 my point is if you are fast driver, no matter what setup you use, your are still going to be a fast driver but if you are going full on pro those DD's are a monster nothing comes close to a direct drive.
well i bought one just today and i can say, as beginer wheels its really good
indeed
They're both good but I think I'll buy a logitech wheel cause in the future I want to get a manual shifter and a thrustmaster one is like 180$ while a logitech one is 60$. I'm a bit worried about the sound though any help?
@KallMeKillZ So then is the thrustmaster better than the logitech? is the force feedback better? is it less loud? how do the pedals compare?
I bought this wheel yesterday for 125 with the t3pa pedals, previously to this, I've been using my brother's t300rs and thrustmaster shifter. it's pretty decent and definitely better then a g29. only thing that's a noticeable downgrade over the t300 is the fact that it's too slow for drifting (compared to the t300rs), instead of letting the wheel slide in your hands to transition/initiate a slide you have to sort of throw it into the corner, very nice other then this
i have the option between the t150 or logitech g29, the t150 (pro version) costs around 250 dollars where i live and the logitech costs around 300 and im not sure what to buy, any recomendations
I have t150 as my first wheel and it's great!
I was thinking to buy a used TX with T3PA pedals at a price of 200€. My first wheel was a G920 but didn't like the brake (I tried everything from using shoes to trying to change settings but nothing worked so I returned it). I really want to get into sim racing but I would like your opinion too about the deal

The only problem might be the pedals, which are light so they move around a bit

if you already have g920, do NOT buy t150, unless you can return or sell the g920 for almost full price.
The t150 has a bit better FFB imo, but otherwise not better. Pedals of pro are a bit better, but the wheel has worse quality than logitech.
Only if you can return the g920, then you can get the t150 pro, especially as it should be cheaper

I just bought my t150 used it for 3 days an now my computer won’t recognize it and I can’t find anything to help me fix it
Honestly I think the pedals are good they give you enough resistance
My T150 is broke after a year and a half and TM want $115 to fix it. The buttons on the face of the wheel can't be pressed without a ridiculous amount of bounce. In rF2 I race F1 cars, trying to shift down from 7th or 8th gear and going from 7th or 8th straight to 3rd in one paddle click, is quite jarring and upsets the car. I wouldn't recommend the T150 to anyone given my experience, but it's just what mine did I guess. I built a button box and sequential shifter until I can afford a new, better wheel

What do you think about the T300 rs gt (is it worth it?)
Can’t say, have never used it :(
Recently upgraded from T150 Pro to T300, kept the T3PA pedals, same pedals that come with 300 GT.
