    Had this for years, great little wheel. The stickyness of the rubber is just when its new out of the box put some hours and weeks on it and it settels in nicely. Now have the T300 with the same peddles as this pro and they are idd brilliant. Another up side to this compaired to logitec is if you want to buy an H- shifter with it the Thrustmaster one is miles better than that little plastic crap thing Logitec sells. And it will all be 100% compatable with other Thrustmaster stuff. So if you chose to upgrade later on the peddles and shifter will just carry over to your upgrade.
    But the T150 is a great little wheel, show in the times he was setting straight off the bat. Offcourse if you are used to a €2000 wheel you'll notice the differince but coming in to sim racing this thing is a delight to race with. Do get the PRO tho, the standard peddles are shit.

    I have the TMX Pro. I agree with everything said, the wheel rotation is slow and I have a lot of trouble catching oversteer. The force feedback is definitely a bit lacking, sometimes it feels very vague, especially with oversteer and understeer. The T3PA pedals are brilliant, especially since they don't use a LC brake pedal. It took me a while to get the brake pedal setup to how I like it but now it's spot on and helps with consistentcy.

  • @balakaythesloth

    I used a g920 for 2 years before switching to a tmx pro and it was such an improvement, I had massive issues with my g920 going off centre when I tried to save a slide which hasn't happened since the change but my tmx has much worse reliability as it has broken twice in the year and a half I've had it

  • @DirtyKari
    @DirtyKari 3 года назад +1

    i have the wheel for about two years now. Bought it cause i wanted to see if i will like sim racing in the first place. Well after all the time i still love it! my friend bought the g920 and we built identical wooden rigs with my old car's seats. the g920 feels smoother and more well built but it is noisier especially at drifting.Built quality isn't quite here with the t150 but after being abused heavily with a lot of drifting(i could smell the motor burning sometimes) it is still working fine.Both are great for entry level gamers like me and dont worry you can be fast and competitive too, i my self have some world records on rsr in ac and many wins on acc,ams2 etc (its all about practice). pedal wise the t3pa worked great for me but sounded squeaky after a while.(opened them and greased them no prob at all) a lot of heel and toe,clutch kicks and heavy braking and they feel great. I will definitaly upgrade sometime in the future cause i tried a dd1 once and i could never believe the difference...long comment but definately go for it if you are a newcomer

    • @Cooe.
      @Cooe. 11 месяцев назад

      And the T3PM pedals are another step above even that!... (Uses magnetic 100% contact & wear free Hall effect sensors to determine pedal position faster & more accurately vs the "inevitably wears out and starts working worse, & then eventually not at all" potentiometers in the older T3PA).
      That said, I'm still waiting for Thrustmaster to actually bundle the T150/TMX wheels with the newer T3PM pedals for ≈$250-$300, as it would be BY FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR the best all-around single "introduction to sim-racing" wheel + pedal package for the price in the entirety of sim-racing. 🤷 Seems like an absolute no-brainer to me anyways.

      Why do the tp3a pedals have tk cost more than a t150 wheel with regular pedals

  • @dergeneralfluff
    @dergeneralfluff 3 года назад +2

    I used a TMX Pro for just under 2 years before upgrading to a T300 while carrying the T3PA pedals over to it and using them for another 2 years. It is a very solid wheel to dip your feet into simracing, obviously not as good as more expensive options but that is all okay.
    But if you put a sizable amount of use through it it will wear out, which I mean you should probably upgrade anyway. Case in point, as the video mentions the rubber on the rim being a bit flimsy, it literally wore out like a racecar tire within 1.5 years, having to glue the rubber back to the plastic too. While My T300 with the simple Ferrari GTE rim (the 100€ rubber one) has in a longer period of use zero signs of wear.
    The T3PA pedals are a good kit, but I am not a fan of the conical brake mod, it limits the brake travel immensely while being effectively a bump stop with no progression. Perhaps you get a tiny bit of progression out of it with a full rig, but a T150/TMX is not a wheel for people with a rig, and the T3PA are also only a temporary prior to getting the T-LCM pedals or something like them. Though the jury is out on those still in terms of tear and wear, as for the T3PA, I had to replace the springs in them once fully, and in the end before the new pedals arrived I had only one none broken spring in the brake, the throttle was using the clutch spring that was broken (I had used the clutch in the brake, because the 3rd party spring were stiffer and when I first replaced the first failed spring the brake was too stiff) but still fully reset the pedal.
    Again, I put a boatload of use through mine, if you drive for 2-6h a month you won't see those, if you drive 10h per week then you will, when in the market for a T150 you most likely won't know that yet, so when you buy one and realize you ended up in the later camp then you still have a set as spare as you should probably upgrade to something better in the near future.

Currently have this wheel, and find it fairly lackluster. But thats coming from a wheel that was twice the money almost. For the money, this is a great wheel. My biggest con is the plastic wheel rim, as it flexes fairly easily. If you're just wanting to see if you're going to enjoy the hobby, without spending over $1000 for a fanatec wheel or higher end Thrustmaster, this is a great wheel.

    I got my T150 a couple of years back lightly used for 75€ with a copy of Gran Turismo 6, later on, I bought a shifter and pedals from a g25 for if I remember correctly around 30€.
    I got 2 Arduino nano clones and USB Cables for around 10€ to make the pedals and shifter standalone and that's it, so I'm still easily under the 150€ mark and I have a decent low budget setup.
    Recently I also got myself a used Wheelstand Pro for around 70€ basically just for the ease of setting it up.
    For those interested, I mainly use it for drifting and I can definitely say that it could be a faster wheel for transitions but if you are mindful of that and drift/drive accordingly it could be worse.

    I have that wheel I used it for a few years
    After a while the blue rubber does stick to your hands. I used a white pair of gloves with the wheel and the palms and fingers of the gloves turned blue. Also the rubber eventually starts to peel off the wherl.
    But I'm using a T300 now which feels so much better with FFB.

    Just picked this up for 130 with the crappier pedals unfortunately. But the wheel is way better built and feels nicer than I was expecting. I'll get the better pedals later if I end up playing a lot. Apples to apples I wanted the Logitech but this was almost 100 bucks less so it was a no brainer. That 100 bucks will buy a nice entry level cockpit. This hobby gets pricey quick. Thanks for the review.

    T150 is an incredible wheel for it's price. And with 3 pedal T3PA's it's as good as G29

    • @piggythepimp
      @piggythepimp 3 года назад +15

      Honestly I would probably lean more towards this because I've heard so many stories of the G29 breaking. I have two friends with one, both of them are damaged in some way, and I hear so many stories about them breaking on reddit.
      As someone with 600+ hrs on my G27 I feel like Logitech is just destroying their line up by making every generation cheaper then the last while offering less and less.

    • @callumparker3293

      Definitely. I've got the TMX, and I have used the G920 at a friend's house. I personally hugely prefer the TMX over the G920 as a wheel itself. If you can get the T3PA pedals it's 100% better

    Ive had mine for a few months and honestly the only complains i have are that the wheel itself feels a bit small and sometimes in the first 2 months i had the wheel i would plug it in on my PC and it didnt work so i had to do some troubleshooting to get it to work

  • @SoyDavidYT
    @SoyDavidYT 23 дня назад

    Got mine for 56 bucks, that was a steal for that price, then i installed some mods on the Wheel, like the Ball Bearing mod, which in my opinion is a must have mod for a T150, TMX or even a T300, it makes the wheel feel a lot smoother quicker and precise, and you're getting more detail through the FFB, then I've installed a Magnetic Paddle Shifters mod, that improve the feeling of those Paddle Shifters by a lot, but they're a little noisy with the mod installed 😅
    Then I got a T3PM pedal set for 79 bucks bearly used on eBay, and the improvement was insane, I'm now pretty happy with my rig, planning to get a cockpit cuz i got an H pattern Shifter and a Handbrake, so i made a custom table support for both Shifter and Handbrake but i know is better to have a proper cockpit to fit all your hardware in.

  • @lauscho

    I'm running the wheel with the standard pedals, got it two Christmases ago. And I have to say, it's not THAT unimpressive when you consider that the one I really asked for, because of how tight our budget was at the time, was the Ferrari-branded TM wheel that doesn't even have force feedback and actually feels like a toy, so consider my surprise at getting the actual better one. Is it a direct-drive wheel? No. Is it made of high-quality materials? Also no. But does it do what I need it to do? Yes. Except for have a clutch pedal... hopefully these pedals are available separately.
    And yeah, the standard pedals are BAD.

    I went from TMX to T300, noticable upgrade. But still TMX (T150's brother) is a good wheel for the price. I had two pedal set that was meh, upgraded to fanatec CSR LC pedals, boosted my experience to a new level. This combo is probably the best entry level gear you can get, and you can go a long way with it, especially if you have no rig and limited space.

    Hi! I use the "normal" t150 and just tried it on my ps5 in gt sport. It appears there is an inputlag of I would say around 0.25 or more seconds. I did not meassure it but it is strongly recogniseable so I can not race with the wheel. Is it maybe a setup problem I can solve by my own? Or is this simply a compatibility issue?
