I'm definitely looking into a FX-30 and a 24-70mm Sigma but that would only be for when I'm second shooting with Sony shooters. I primarily shoot on the Lumix S5IIX and waiting to see the upcoming Lumix box camera.
@@SCINEMACREW oh wow, every Sony 'fluencer talked about it when it was announced, I figured the update was already here. You definitely won't regret the additional angles. One of my "add ons" that people always take is the full speeches edit and having 2 locked off with 1 floating brings a dynamic I know people appreciate. Cheers!
I am looking to buy my first camera for video (shooting narratives for sure, possibly wildlife, maybe other stuff. i wanna shoot a lot). I already have a photography camera so I don't care about photography aspects of these cameras. Which do you recommend for video?
Always appreciate your views on gear! I'm in a similar boat, only do Wedding Filmmaking as a hobby and I've been eyeing the FX30 as I'm already invested in the Sony ecosystem. But man if I was starting fresh today and needed to build a full setup the S5II's look mighty fine.
@@lyndonlabayan Currently running an A7III as my A-Cam. It's a workhorse that's done me real well for a long while, but would love some Slow-mo 4K recording options. I got a great deal on a used Fuji XT3 a couple years back and the 4K60p is great but the autofocus is just not reliable :/ I have it rigged out handheld rig though and it's solid, but the lack of IBIS can be tough at times.
@@aefilmsweddings A7III is no slouch at all. I've watched your vids and I can't tell you're even mixing brands/bodies so that's pretty awesome. Looking to upgrade/sidegrade?
@@lyndonlabayan Thanks, that means a ton! A big part of it is gear acquisition syndrome, but I would love to get a camera without record time limits. It's pain sometimes with longer ceremonies having to jump around and restart cameras. Apart from that I know I ultimately *don't* need a new camera yet to do what I do haha
The thing for me is that you never just have one camera. With the Sony ecosyntem is easy to upsize and downsize according to your need. always room to grow.
Is that a wireless condenser microphone? Would love to know the model name for it. I'm personally running an A7s3, S5ii, and an S1. The S5ii is definitely so much more fun to use than the a7siii, but LUMIX is currently lacking 4k60 uncropped and 4k120.
True about the Lumix lacking uncropped and 4k high fps modes. Given the price difference between the A7S3 and S5II, I'm assuming those features are still reserved for high ticketed bodies.. would be nice though. Mic is Comica VM30. Check out some reviews, I ended up getting it after @NigelBarros weighed in on it. Cheers!

That thumbnail though. For real, the FX30 even has shutter angle now! It's pretty much perfect for my use case/preferences.

Experienced wedding second shooter and editor here in Winnipeg if you ever need to outsource 👍🏽
@@ocimaging Noted! Lol I don't do any networking at all so I know literally zero Winnipeg videographers. That's so awesome!
As of yet, i dont think the fx30 supports shutter angle. However i was thinking of picking up a 2nd one for different angles

good advice from another Lumix user. I just had a friend let me use the FX30 both great cams.

How is the stab of the fx30 compare to the s5ii ?
One of the trade offs for sure. It looks like the S5II IBIS is still in a league of its own.
Gh6 and s5iix
I am also a hobby guy and film weddings. How can we connect ?
