Thanks for the info, I have been hearing the word "Dehancer" being thrown around but your video gives a clear explanation of what it is and how it works.
had a similar question, tried Resolve studio 19 beta and it's "Film Look Creator", retried the film grain and some of those kodak film luts on the color page and came to the conclusion, that "it does the trick". And the client explicitly pointed out liking it - made my decision easier Needs more tweaking then dehancer overall to be as convincing - but i believe it helped me understand stuff like grain does not appear in the dark parts like noise does... i would give it a shot, if you didn't already (sorry if i missed anything you might have already stated in this video) before pouncing on dehancer lite thanks for sharing your impressions and usage
