I have exactly the same bike, even the same color scheme, mine is 2010. That's a lot of spanner sizes I need to collect now, don't know yet all that I need. Did only an oil and battery change once. Good thing that they mostly went for singe L-key size.

Hey. Glad to hear that! What I did was on every job that I did on the bike and I did no had the tool in the toolbox, I added it to it. So my tool box built organically as you may say. Now my tool box is completed. Yes most the bolts and nuts share the same size which makes it easier. Also I carry all the tools with me but that might not be what you want and you can only carry whatever you think is necessary. All the best

@@44degreesmotorcycleadventures Is there any chance you list the tools by sizes? Not because I'm lazy, but because I do not have a big collection of wrenches at my garage. To be honest, I do not have a garage, I keep my motorcycle in my greenhouse. I have a generic set of wrenches and some bits and bobs but not only I do not know what sizes I need for travelling, I also don't know what I need even for in-house for maintenance. Buying cheap sets is wasted money but buying heavy duty wrenches and sockets is expensive if you buy randomly and do not know, what exactly you need. It is my first bike ever, got license last year.

@@lauraiss1027 Hey. I don't have a list of them by size. I am away at the moment so I cannot even check it for you.
Every bolt in the bike has a number on them, this correspond to the size of the bolt, so is pretty easy to figure out what tool size you need. When I get back and I have a chance, I will post a video on my toolkit and list them by size. All the best

@@44degreesmotorcycleadventures Thank you very much! You don't have to make such a video, but I'd be very grateful if you do. Also, if you make such a video, please mention what type of torque wrenches you have, because manual says there are bolts that require 4 nm wrenches and the max is about 180. Do I really need several because of range in torque? I imagine one does not use torque wrench for small things, but obviously I need one for brake discs and wheels and suspension. Sorry for being such a burden and pita, I'm just genuinely interested because next week I will have to change all sprockets and chain. Bought chain splitter/riveting tool already and both sprockets and chain, just need to get tools and bravery.

A few cable ties of various sizes are often useful.

Yeah they can be very useful. And the plus side is that they don't weight that much. Will be adding them to the kit. Thanks for the advice. 👍
