    I suggest doing some of their studio versions like Wait and Bleed but do not do the music video because its the radio edit

    • @givenspade
      @givenspade 5 лет назад +3

      @@BittersweetDuality yeah when people react to spit it out they always do the live version because that is what gets requested. It's fun and all but at the end of the day they aren't going to like the song itself when they only hear the live version that's why I always want the reactors to do the studio version then the live right after to get the music experience then the crowd experience. So then they can actually enjoy it because no offense to Slipknot (I love them) but Spit It Out live sounds pretty bad. But all this is just my opinion.

    Spit it Out isn't one of Slipknot bests from a musical perspective. But experience the jump tha f* up at the end of a show is super amazing. I've seen them live just three weeks ago. And I can tell you, they are performing on their highest level. You're gonna have an awesome time, I'm sure!

  • @Mrjamb1

    I was there at this festival performance. Was amazing (Download 2009) was such a great time.When you asked how many people were there I believe that year It was around 70-80K. Its great he changed the lyrics to 'where you gonna be in the next 10 years Instead of 5 years as only 1 month ago I was there again 10 Years later at Download festival and Slipknot were headlining again. and were just as amazing. You will have a great time and Knotfest is such a great lineup. Spit it out was from the 1st album so no one had left the band at that time but there are 3 different members to the band now to that performance (2 have left one passed away)

    This is a pretty chill channel. I love how you guys don't just play the songs and say "that was nice. See ya next time, guys!" You actually try and dissect them and provide some history on the artists.
    My one criticism: I'm not seeing nearly enough Meshuggah on this channel. Combustion is a good start.

    Young lady, being in a moshpit (mostly running in circles colliding with people) is one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. In the other hand being in a “Wall of Death” was extremely violent. The crowd separates into two opposing sides and then they both run each other colliding almost head to head. I had fun but a friend of mine broke his arm there so watch out if you ever try it. Go for the moshpit before even trying a wall of death.

  • @givenspade
    @givenspade 5 лет назад +7

    It was the first song the band wrote with Corey Taylor. "it was allegedly written in response to the growing rivalry between two Central Iowan radio stations (KAZR and KKDM). Slipknot were now Des Moines' leading band, and because they were allied to (KKDM), KAZR allegedly resented this, attempting to pit (them) against (local band 35'‘ Mudder)." quote from a book named Slipknot Unmasked.
    I'm pretty sure that's the story, thanks for this cool reaction but the studio version (for the music itself) is tons better than the live. The live version is only reacted to so much for the crowd and Corey's crowd control. You really get to hear Corey rapping in the studio version.

    • @ChemicalReactions

      Helpful context! Lot of anger directed at a radio station though!

    • @givenspade
      @givenspade 5 лет назад +3

      @@ChemicalReactions the anger might also have to do with how radio stations only play what is popular and mainstream to make money more than playing new songs for people to discover. That's just my guess though.

    I was there 10 years ago with a few mates for my stag do!
    Was a phenomal show! To imagine a slipknot show without moshpits forming doesn't sound right to me! By all means if there is standing space there will be a pit!
    I think it will be dependent on whether you have standing or seating tickets.
    They played download fest this year but I had to miss it...
    Some more essential slipknot - the whole iowa album!! Also they will have a new album out by the time of your show sk be sure to check that out as no doubt they will play a few off the new album.

    I was there as it happens. I wandered back over to the main stage for Slipknot after watching Chris Cornell on the second stage and just hung back chilling, away from the main concentration of fans. My brother was down in the thick of things. The person just to my left filmed the entire performance on a camcorder, so I wonder if that footage is knocking about on RUclips.

    The story I’ve heard about the lyrics is that there was a radio station in Iowa where the DJ would frequently mock Slipknot, but when they confronted him, he would suddenly turn coward, so this song is the band saying “You wanna say something? Spit it out mother fucker!”

    The last riff that the guitarist played, after the song ended (and sometimes a bit of it, in the part of the song when the singer speaks to the crowd) was from a song called “Thumb” from a (favorite of mine) band called “Kyuss”.
    Probably the best “Stoner Rock/Metal” band and the leaders for this genre. Check them out. Favorite songs: “Gardenia”, “Green Machine”, “Thumb”, “One Inch Man”, “El Rodeo”. Also check the bands “Queens of the Stone Age” and “Karma to Burn” from the same genre.

    If you do go into the moshpit, please remember: keep your elbows high enough to protect your face with your forearms. Black eyes, cut lips and bleeding noses are most common damage to newbies. Nothing worse than a little abrasions shouldn't happen there. Cheers.
    P.S. i think you would like a Motley Crew - they are different but surely energizing.
    P.P.S you can be tired AF, but when you know it is last song, you will always find some more energy.

    slipknot live is a completely different story to what you hear and see in videos because you dont see much of what chris fehn and shawn crahan does on the stage as well as the interactions corey taylor has with the audience, spit it out is the only song they "pause" in the middle to do that "jump the f--- up" thing but its not really an encore song like you think, at least not been the times i have seen them

    Thank you for that ! Awesome! I don't know exactly what the song is about, but this is a song from their debute self titled record, i guess that the song is about people who talked sh*t about the band at that time. But i might be wrong.
    I would like to recommend you some songs to react to:
    Machine Head - Davidian
    Behemoth - Lucifer
    Gojira - The gift of guilt
    I would like to recommend more as i have so many music i love and listen to, but will be too much LOL
    Have a nice day:)
