What I learned during the event.
1. In the early days, Venti is extremely powerful god.
2. Kazuha's story is truly tragic, he went through a lot growing up.
3. Xinyan has a incredibly likeable attitude, popularly known as her rock and roll spirit, despite the fact that she is disliked by the majority of the community (except from me because I liked her from the start and now i like her even more).
4. Fischl is not always a cringe-worthy character; in fact, when she does break character, she is adorable.
5. And lastly ,the most important realization in this entire event. Mona is not BROKE.

-for the kazuha one, i just wanna say a lot of charaters (maybe all even) have a tragic backstory

Monas domain is so smart. The way the walls close in as she talks about needing space and block off the light when she talks about not chasing destiny
The electro seelie in Kazuha's domain could be interpreted as "tomo" during the part of the story where Kazuha is escaping Inazuma. It acts like a guiding spirit helping his friend through tough times.
so kazuha was having hallucinations of his dead friend giving him advice to keep living 💀
Yes sir, I believe that aswell. The Seelie might be waiting for us to reach it in order to continue forward but I think that's just the game mechanic itself. Thematically, we're chasing the Violet Seelie up until Kazuha reaches the wave of guards. Then it's us alone, climbing aboard the stowaway boat sent by the Yashiro Commission.

The moment I saw the seelie I started tearing up because I knew it represents Tomo and then Ayato also helped Kazuha escape by paying for his boat
it helped me use kazuha solo since it would allow me to swirl without anyone else hehe. also, kazuhas friend also happened to use an electro vision so it aligns perfectly
Bro the Fishcl quest is so insane, her character development is so good. Xinyan’s is also so fun, Kazuha’s clears his own story quest, Mona’s is philosophical and deep
I like the part where Fischl is fighting her alter ego, it shows how mature she become.
I hate the entire fischl part, its just booooring without much to back it up

In case you still didn’t get it, the rock guy Xiangling and Yun Jin were talking about was the guy from Zhongli story quest part 2. When he was “sick and felt like his body didn’t belong to him” was when good Azdaha was controlling him, and after he was himself again, he retained some of the rock abilities of Azdaha. I like when there’s callbacks like that.

I found Mona's story very interesting since out of the 4 characters she is the one we know the least about. It was quite surprising that she had the same problem as Bruno from "Encanto" at the beginning of her career.

When Oz said "pwease", and not just once, but three times in a row... I wheezed so hard that I couldn't stop laughing for a whole minute or two.
Makes sense that Kusanali would have some power over mirages considering her home region is a desert and even Dainsleif himself described Sumeru as "an Oasis of knowledge, a mirage in the desert of ignorance" in the Travail trailer.
Not to mention the heckin double-decker Pyramid u can see in the desert part of Sumeru

@@xohelen121 I know, I should've said "big parts of it are desert". Unless the reason the forests exist is because of the Dendro archon's powers and in the past it was only Desert... At least that's my theory. I guess we'll see when 3.0 comes out.

a bit unrelated but i feel like id much more prefer if kusanali had a less klee-like model and just a generally shorter model like sucrose instead. it just feels really hard to take her seriously.

@@averagegordonenjoyer3141 she was amazing in the archon quests don't judge a book by it's cover she literally just like guoba but kusanali is the other form of rukhadevatta they are not the same person yet she definitely is amazing just like in her voice lines "don't be fooled by my child appearance i know way more than normal adults"
so sad how this is limited, there’s so much lore and things we can learn about characters, and kusanali talking to us could be important

1. To reduce storage
2. To create hype for its rerun
3. Once you finished all things in the island, you'll abandon it rendering it useless like Dragonspine

In Inazuma (and IRL Japan), boat names often end with _maru_ (丸) like Seiraimaru. Coincidentally, meatballs in Chinese are called 肉丸 (same _maru_ character). So Paimon calls the boat「大肉丸」meaning "Great Meatball" in Chinese, or Onikumaru in Japanese. Unfortunately, the joke that Paimon named the boat "meatball" would have been lost in translation if they used "Onikumaru", so they went with "Miitoboru" instead.

I love how Bwaap always leaves out on a peaceful cinematic whenever he really enjoyed an event. Like the previous Golden Apple Archipelago event. It really does show how much he loved and enjoyed it

Not sure if I’m the only one who does this but now that I’m out of that chuuni phase, I still make up fantasy in my mind as something to keep me going, but sometimes it holds me back too

all the character development hit deep. kazuha moving on from his past - both friend and family - as a wandering samurai, xinyan learning to smile in the face of those who dont understand her, mona keeping true to her arts even though its not what others would hope for, and oh BOI was i not expecting fischls story of losing yourself and your identity in your own fantasies to hit hardest.

I watched Persona 4 anime and Fischl's mirage was the most Persona moment of the entire story ever. Also I hate how they gave Fischl STRINGLESS even though she cannot use Oz at that moment.
I like to think thats just symbolic irony given that the weapon passive is made for her since we often use her E and Q most of the time. To me thats quite a neat detail
But it's kinda not that statisfying since the point of acceptance of her other self was given by a lecture from Oz, not by her accepting it herself when she encountered her other self.
The Persona vibes from Fischl was so strong lol.

This def feels nostalgic. When I first played the game, I missed the first summer event. Bwaap was the first Genshin streamer I ever followed. I've watched each event I missed through Bwaap and for that I am very thankful. Felt like I experienced them myself. ❤️
Same.. Though my first streamer was ant. I mostly watched his vlogs. When i discovered bwaap i didnt know ant or anything about genshin but when i started playing it bwaap was always my favorite genshin youtuber and he always will be.
Bwaap was the streamer that helped me catch up on the stories I missed, including the second half of Golden Archipelago season 1.
It's crazy seeing his videos again after a whole year.
ngl, I kinda wished we were able to see Traveler's mirage and see what their backstory was, it would've been a lot interesting to see different things they've encountered while traveling between worlds and it might help them regain some memories and find out where their sibling is, we could learn a lot more about Khaenri' ah, the Cataclysm, and the Archon War. I kinda also wished that there were other characters with us such as Keaya
the have to put Traveler's mirage in the archon quest since this place will be gone after 2.8 and traveler lore should never be missable.
You do know the traveler was there for none of the events you mentioned. Also their memory is fine so I don't know what you mean by recovering memories

This event was so great, but boy Fischl’s domain had my brain malfunctioning! It’s great to see that lots of people are enjoying it! And it’s so exciting to see characters meeting each other. I hope we see them again and more when they do the Ludi Harpastum 🍀

Yep it is kunjun/azdaha.
Now that I think about it, it does seem like its kun jun and especially since it doesn’t have a requirement for zhongli’s 2nd quest as far as I’m aware meaning he could still possibly be alive

The two GAA experiences we had were incomparable. They are majestic gems of their own beauty. I am really in love with the whole place, together with the quests from past and present. This time it was really loaded and deep, I admit. Each of their mirages hit like a potato sack and struck some of my heartstrings.
bwaap is one of the only genshin creators that don't sexualize characters just for fame, thanks bro

The VA in Fischl's quest is outstanding. The non-verbal expressions too, (specifically Fischl's eye) expresses more than any number of words can say.

Say whatever you want about Fischl's story being boring or whatever, I'm very happy and glad she had some back story and its one of my hopes that one day she will have her own story and I fucking loved it.
I like her backstory more than kazuha's honestly. Because Fischel's is more of nostalgia and having a big imagination and not wanting to grow up. From what I see at the end of her story, while yes she needs to face reality and grow up a bit, it doesn't mean she can stop being imaginative like a child and have, let's say, child like personality.
(I'm not sure if I got the lesson of her mirage correct)

On Kazuhas domain I had to use 100% of my brain. Because I forgot I can look up videos on RUclips 😂 the only time I looked up this quest on RUclips was three times on monas and once on Fischls 💀 xinyans was easy thank GOD

Your little montage in the end with the exploration and the music almost made me cry. These islands were my favorite event both times, and I’m already nostalgic about it even if it hasn’t ended yet… I swear, if they do this every summer I will be absolutely delighted!

It’s been forever since Fischl was in an event and she’s still as fun of a character as ever.
Edit: that part with Fischl’s mirage is so painfully relatable. As much as I love Fischl, the solutions to the puzzles are so extremely precise and specific.
Ikr but the overworld puzzles for Mona are sooo confusing like it doesnt give me any hints on what the constellation is on top of the tower and the whole thing about time really confuses a lot of things and some of the puzzles dont give you any hints on how to solve it so I just look up the answer online
Gosh I love Mona’s voice, her english va’s take on her is personally my favorite compared to the other languages

actually, in this event you can also re-enter the characters' domains if you forgot any chests. just go to their respective specific objects and select the third option you see under the event challenges
(i think there must also be a way to take screenshots in-game, even while you can't use the camera. it might be different for each PC, but it's possible)
This was the best Summer Event I personally ever played and took part on. Every character’s mirage felt so unique and refreshing to take on with each of their respective themes and challenges. It was an absolute blast to play through and I love reliving it all over again in your perspective bwaap, excellent video!
All I got from these quests is that Xinyan is a very positive and solid person. She's the most mentally stable of all that group.

this place holds a lot of nostalgia for me, i started playing genshin last year when the islands were first released and i had no idea how to play the game. i was very underleveled and played on a bad device so none of the puzzles and challenges were easy for me at all, and though i thoroughly enjoyed the main story, i remember just quitting exploration halfway through because of how stressful it became. this time around i'm very determined to enjoy the heck out of these islands! i've learned how to play properly now, and running around exploring with the roster of characters i've managed to build over the past year with these familiar OSTs.... it's soooo nostalgic and happy.

Just finished mona's domain yesterday and i have to say Hoyoverse pulled no punches when it comes to our girl. The starry night scene will always be an example for the dev's subtle brilliance. Of all concepts to portray Mona's dream, they nailed it by going with Van Gogh's famous painting.

this event is very special indeed. as a player who is also coming back to these islands, it was a huge nostalgia and happiness. the mirages are great challenges and honestly I'm affected by Xinyan and Fischl's story more since it yes reflecting my life itself.

I like the fact kazuha,fischl,and xinyan domains is a strugles story about their inner self,while Mona is a strugle about the whole universe or Teyvat itself,i wonder if Mona will play a bigger role in the future in our journey to the end game

@@zenz_bro We only know the sky is fake through whatever Scaramouche was able to glean from the source of Leonard's dream in 1.1; even she still doesn't know this fact from personal observation, IIRC. Her scry glass utilizes the fake sky to divine. It's a tool that reads it, therefore it does not see through it. She's bound by the rules of this world, she's just able to leverage those rules to accomplish certain goals (in this case, divination) within the confines of those rules. Alice seems to know things beyond the confines of Teyvat, but she's also touted as an insanely powerful sorceress.
Xinyan, looks beautiful with her hair down at 1:16:58. I hope that we get an outfit for her in the future, with her hair down like that. And to think that Mona is actually rich, only spending too much that make her look broke/poor. Hope that she learns how to spend her money more wisely in the future.
Doubt it, even her idle voiceline talk about how an astrologist should never have materialistic desires, in our Pov, is not be greedy, but to her, Mora is something should flow easily in and out and never be held in and be shackled by it, hence always throwing most of her money out the moment she gets a chance at it
I just love seeing Bwaap play genshin casually for the story, it both heals and entertain me.
Fischl’s story quest made me mourn for my inner child that was lost. Really loved it
I luv Mona's "I'm just here so I won't get sued" status this entire quest, well, until Her mirage popped up. But hey, at least Aether gets to enjoy these little detours before he has to go and kill a God at some point

fischl’s domains progress the same way fischl does mentally. first, she adjusts her perspective to force it to fit her fantasy. next, she adjusts her perspective to ignore or hide whatever doesn’t fit into her fantasy. finally, she learns to use her skills adjusting her perspective for something constructive: using potential obstacles as tools to reach her goals. she no longer uses her imagination as a way to escape, but as a power to make her stronger.

Mona’s part was my personal favorite, not because of the puzzles, but because of the writing and voice acting. Mona’s VA did incredibly in this and she’s quickly become one of mu favorite characters.

1:13:30 Xiangling and Yun Jin were talking about the guy in Zhongli's story quest, the 2nd one I believe.
Kun Jun. He was possessed by Azhdaha's good half of spirit and was able to see memory in ores. Before he leaves Kun Jun's body, Azhdaha predicts that the real Kun Jun will return to Liyue and become a famous craftsman in time, like his family before him. Looks like it must've been correct :0
