How to Change Combination on Master Lock Key Box - Reset Your Own Code on Master Lock 5400D Lock Box

Changing the combination on a Master Lock key box on the 5400D and 5401D is easy. But you'll need to know the current combination to be able to do this. Master Lock ships their boxes out with the default combination of zero zero zero zero. And you definitely don't want to keep it at this.
To change the combo, open it up and locate the reset switch. To activate it, slide it to the left and down. In my example, I'll change the combination to one zero zero one. To accept the changes, just flip the reset switch back to its original position. Then before closing the front panel, check to be sure the release lever actually works with the new combo. At this point, I can now confirm the combination has now been changed to one zero zero one.
One last tip. Here's how to release the door hook. Inside at the top, there's a little spring loaded tab. Just slide this to the left and pull the hook up. i was trying to find out how to change it and i closed it, but i took the black U looking wire out from the bottom of the inside of the lock and now i cant open it
